Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve students' ability to convey ideas through the application of the group discussion method. The focus of this research is fifth grade students at SDI Utaseko, who in initial observations showed limitations in conveying ideas in a structured and confident manner. This research uses a classroom action approach with two cycles. Each cycle includes planning stages, action implementation, observation and reflection. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and tests on students' ability to express ideas. The focus of this research is: discussion methods in improving students' ability to convey ideas. This improvement can be seen from students being able to work together in discussions, being responsible for providing ideas, and participating in concluding the results of discussions. The increase in the ability to convey ideas occurred in the second cycle after implementing learning using the group discussion method, there were 6 students or 27.27% who had grades categorized as very high, 13 students or 59.09% who had grades categorized as high, 3 students or 13.63 had grades who categorized as sufficient, 1 student or 4.54% was categorized as very poor and no students had a score in the very poor category. Meanwhile, classically the average score for measuring students' ability to convey ideas is 82.22%, which means that the average student is in the high category. Thus, the group discussion method was effectively used in improving the ability to convey ideas to class V students at SDI Utaseko.

Abstract

This study discusses the curriculum of Islamic boarding schools which integrates religious knowledge, character building, and student-based life education. The purpose of this study is to explain how these three aspects are interconnected in shaping well-rounded students. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various sources related to Islamic boarding school education. The results show that the integration of religious knowledge provides a strong foundation for students in understanding Islamic teachings. Character building is carried out through role modeling, habituation, and a religious environment, which helps form good character. Student-based life education trains independence, discipline, and social skills through daily life experiences in the boarding school environment. The conclusion indicates that the pesantren curriculum is able to produce students who are not only knowledgeable but also possess noble character and are ready to face social life.

Abstract

The implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka marks a significant transformation in Indonesia’s education system by positioning teacher autonomy as a central pillar of learning. This curriculum is designed to provide flexibility for educational institutions and teachers to develop contextual, differentiated, and student-centered learning processes. Nevertheless, such autonomy remains within the framework of national regulations established by the government through the Standar Nasional Pendidikan. This study aims to analyze the key components of the curriculum in the era of Kurikulum Merdeka and to examine the dynamics between teachers’ pedagogical freedom and national regulatory demands. The main components analyzed include learning objectives, curriculum structure, assessment, teaching materials, and the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile. The study employs a literature review method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings indicate that Kurikulum Merdeka promotes a balance between flexibility in classroom implementation and quality accountability through structured graduate competency standards and learning outcomes. Therefore, the successful implementation of this curriculum largely depends on teachers’ professional capacity to translate policy into innovative, reflective, and adaptive teaching practices that respond to students’ needs.

Abstract

Curriculum development in Islamic Religious Education plays a central role in shaping students’ intellectual and spiritual character. This paper discusses the integration of curriculum components including objectives, content, methods, and evaluation in the learning process. The discussion is based on conceptual analysis drawn from authoritative books written by Indonesian scholars in Islamic education and educational evaluation. The findings indicate that learning objectives function as the primary foundation that determines the direction of content selection, instructional strategies, and assessment design. Relevant and systematic content must be aligned with appropriate teaching methods to ensure meaningful internalization of Islamic values. Comprehensive evaluation covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects ensures that learning outcomes reflect both understanding and practice. The integration of these components creates a coherent and effective Islamic Religious Education curriculum.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum development requires a strong philosophical foundation to ensure that learning objectives are achieved effectively and meaningfully. This study discusses three main philosophical foundations, namely idealism, realism, and pragmatism, in the development of the PAI curriculum. Idealism emphasizes the formation of spiritual values and noble character as the main goal of education. Realism focuses on linking learning materials with real-life experiences and social contexts of students. Pragmatism highlights the usefulness and practical application of knowledge in everyday life. These three approaches are analyzed as complementary foundations that can strengthen the quality of Islamic education curriculum development. The study shows that an integrative approach among idealism, realism, and pragmatism is necessary to create a balanced and relevant PAI curriculum in responding to modern educational challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Group Investigation learning model in improving elementary school students’ critical thinking skills. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research by reviewing books, scientific journals, and previous studies relevant to the topic. Data were collected through reading, note-taking, and classifying relevant information, and then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the Group Investigation model encourages students to actively seek information, engage in discussions, analyze problems, and draw logical conclusions. These processes contribute to developing critical thinking indicators such as identifying problems, evaluating information, providing logical arguments, and making rational decisions. Therefore, the Group Investigation model can serve as an effective alternative learning strategy to foster critical thinking skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the virality of news content on TikTok and Instagram, using a case study of the KUPASSOS Media account. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through content observation, documentation, and literature review. The research object is news content published on the Instagram (@kupassos) and TikTok (@kupassosial) accounts, with a focus on the level of engagement and characteristics of the resulting content. The results show that the virality of news content is influenced by several key factors, namely the characteristics of engaging, concise, and trend-relevant content, as well as high user engagement, including likes, comments, shares, and views. Furthermore, social media algorithms play a crucial role in distributing content to a wider audience, especially when the content receives a positive initial response. Audience psychological factors such as fear of missing out (FOMO) and the need for social validation also contribute to increased engagement with viral content. Thus, the virality of news content is the result of the interaction between content quality, user engagement, and the platform's algorithmic system, all working simultaneously to expand the reach of information on social media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the social interaction model on students' tolerance attitudes and engagement in thematic learning in elementary schools. Thematic learning requires the integration of students’ cognitive, affective, and social aspects; therefore, a learning model that facilitates positive interaction among students is needed. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques included a tolerance attitude questionnaire, student engagement observation sheets, and learning outcome tests. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the social interaction model is effective in improving students' tolerance attitudes and engagement in the thematic learning process. This model encourages students to cooperate with one another, respect differences of opinion, and actively participate in learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the implementation of social simulation can improve tolerance and cooperation among elementary school students. The research was motivated by the observation that some students still struggle to respect differing opinions and to collaborate effectively during group activities. Tolerance and cooperation are essential values that should be developed from the early stages of education as part of character building. The study employed a quantitative approach using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles. Each cycle included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through observation, attitude questionnaires, and documentation of classroom activities. the findings reveal an improvement in students’ tolerance and cooperation after the implementation of social simulation activities. Students became more engaged in discussions, more accepting of their peers’ perspectives, and more responsible in completing group tasks. Through simulation activities, students experienced social situations more directly, which helped them better understand and practice tolerance and cooperation. Therefore, social simulation can be considered an effective instructional strategy to support character development in elementary schools.

Abstract

Personalized learning is an approach that adapts the learning process to each student’s needs, interests, and abilities. This paper aims to explain the principles, characteristics, and impact of personalized learning on elementary school students’ development. The method used is a literature review based on relevant sources. The results show that personalized learning emphasizes individual uniqueness, the teacher’s role as a facilitator, and active student involvement in learning. Its main characteristics include flexible instruction and learning adjusted to students’ abilities. This approach can help improve students’ independence, self-confidence, and responsibility in learning.
