Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools requires students to understand concepts deeply, not merely memorize facts. However, in practice, many students experience difficulties in understanding concepts because teaching methods are still conventional. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Advance Organizer learning model in improving elementary school students’ understanding of science concepts. The research method used is a literature study by analyzing various research findings related to the use of the Advance Organizer model in science learning in elementary schools. The results of the review indicate that the Advance Organizer model is able to help students connect prior knowledge with new concepts so that learning becomes more meaningful. In addition, the implementation of this model has also been proven to improve learning outcomes, conceptual understanding, and students’ thinking abilities. Therefore, the Advance Organizer learning model can be used as an alternative and effective learning strategy to improve students’ understanding of science concepts in elementary schools.

Abstract

Verbal and nonverbal communication are sometimes used simultaneously in certain situations. Nonverbal communication also plays a role in reinforcing or replacing verbal messages. Nonverbal communication is communication that uses body movements and facial expressions. Service quality is an activity carried out in real terms in establishing relationships between employees and their customers. Of course, in this service, communication is a crucial part of a relationship to interact with each other, both verbally and nonverbally. Some people can interact using verbal language, while others use nonverbal language, as found at Sunyi Coffee, which has its own uniqueness. Sunyi Coffee is a cafe that employs people with disabilities such as deaf (unable to hear) and mute (unable to speak/mute). The concept carried by Sunyi Coffee is to respect and provide support to people with disabilities. This study aims to determine, understand, and analyze the extent to which the quality of Sunyi Coffee employee service affects customer satisfaction. The research method used is a quantitative method with a positivist paradigm. The population was taken from 40.800 followers of the Instagram account @Sunyi Coffee and obtained a sample of one hundred people using the Slovin formula. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to one hundred respondents via Google Forms. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, based on the criteria that participants must be followers of @sunyi Coffee and have visited Sunyi Coffee more than once. Data processing was performed using SPSS calculations. The results of this study indicate that the quality of service provided to Sunyi Cof’fee's disabled employees has a strong positive influence on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has significantly transformed legal communication systems in criminal and civil cases, particularly regarding the use of oral, written, electronic, and digital communication as legal evidence. This study aims to examine the evolution of legal communication in modern judicial systems through a literature review approach focusing on the validity, admissibility, and challenges of communication-based evidence in criminal and civil proceedings. This research employs a qualitative library research method by analyzing scientific articles, legal documents, regulations, and previous studies indexed in Scopus and published within the last five years. Data were collected through a literature review in academic databases and analyzed using content analysis and comparative analysis. The findings indicate that legal communication has shifted from conventional evidence systems toward digital and electronic evidence systems supported by technological advancements. Oral communication remains important through witness testimony and confessions; however, electronic and digital communications such as emails, instant messaging, social media, and audiovisual recordings increasingly dominate modern legal evidence practices. The study also reveals several major challenges, including digital authentication, data manipulation, privacy protection, cybersecurity, and chain of custody in digital evidence management. Furthermore, the emergence of artificial intelligence and deepfake technology has increased the complexity of verifying the authenticity of digital communication evidence in court proceedings. This study identifies a research gap in the limited integration of oral, written, electronic, and digital communication within a multidimensional legal evidence framework. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative perspective, combining legal studies, communication theory, and digital forensic approaches in understanding modern legal evidence systems. The study concludes that adaptive legal reform, standardized digital forensics, and enhanced digital literacy among law enforcement officers are essential to ensure legal certainty, transparency, and justice in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the marketing communication of Arak Bali in Desa Besan, focusing on the integration of cultural, economic, traditional health, and Hindu ethical principles. The analysis aims to understand how producers craft message content, select communication channels, create product image, and manage interactions with customers, so that Arak Bali is recognized not merely as an alcoholic beverage, but also as a cultural, health, and culinary tourism product. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of aligning marketing strategies with the concepts of purity (Śuddha), harmony (Tri Hita Karana), and Hindu ritual contexts to respect cultural norms, build a positive image, enhance competitiveness, and contribute to the welfare of the local community. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach, aiming to explore in depth the marketing communication practices of Arak Bali, including message delivery, platform selection, audience interaction, and the integration of cultural and Hindu ethical values into marketing strategies. The results of the study indicate that marketing communication for Balinese arak in Besan Village faces various technical, psychological, and cultural challenges, including producers’ low level of digital literacy, limited business management capacity, and the persistence of negative public perceptions toward arak Bali. To address these challenges, an integrated marketing communication strategy has been implemented by combining verbal, non-verbal, and digital communication, supported by village social media platforms, collaboration with cultural tourism villages and local MSMEs, and institutional facilitation. This strategy emphasizes a personal approach, transparency in the production process, the strengthening of cultural and religious values, regulatory compliance, and synergy with cultural tourism, thereby enhancing consumer trust and loyalty while reinforcing the economic and cultural value of arak Bali as a sustainable flagship product of Besan Village.

Abstract

This article aims to analyse the digital transformation strategy for information services at the Sambas Regency Regional Library and Archives Office through a literature review approach. The research findings indicate that, empirically, the management of archives and information services at regional library institutions still faces challenges in terms of infrastructure, human resource competencies, the strengthening of digital systems, and service governance that is not yet fully integrated. On the other hand, digital transformation is capable of improving service efficiency, expanding access to information, supporting the preservation of collections, and strengthening the relevance of regional libraries in an era of fast-paced information needs. The most important strategies include analysing service needs, strengthening digital governance, developing information technology infrastructure, digitising priority collections and archives, enhancing the competencies of librarians and archivists, developing user-centred service platforms, and conducting continuous evaluation of service quality. With a well-planned and phased strategy, the Sambas Regency Regional Library and Archives Service has the opportunity to build information services that are more effective, adaptive, inclusive and responsive to the needs of the local community in the digital age.

Abstract

The quality of communication within the family plays a crucial role in shaping self-confidence in young children and can have a long-term impact. This study aims to identify types of family communication dysfunction, analyze their implications for the development of self-confidence, and explain the factors that shape self-confidence in young children. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of five young children aged 6–12 years from diverse family backgrounds. This study concludes that there are five types of family communication dysfunction: lack of emotional responsiveness, rejection of children’s emotional expressions, the physical absence of parents as attachment figures, a shift in attention due to changes in family structure, and the substitution of affection with material fulfillment. Communication dysfunction leads to the formation of ambivalent and avoidant attachment patterns, withdrawal from social interaction, and the internalization of negative self-beliefs. Determinants of children’s self-confidence include the consistency of the attachment figure’s responses, emotional validation, the availability of a psychological secure base, emotional recovery after neglect, and the quality of substitute figures. These findings confirm that self-confidence in young children is strongly influenced by the warm and responsive emotional presence of parents.

Abstract

This study examines the production and creative strategies implemented by MNC Channels in packaging the local television program Jan Enak Tenan amid digital media competition in Indonesia. As a culinary program highlighting Javanese culture, it integrates entertainment, education, and cultural representation. Using an interpretive paradigm and a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, supported by source triangulation. Findings show that production strategies are systematically applied across pre-production, production, and post-production, emphasizing audience research, technical planning, on-site flexibility, and editorial quality control. Creative strategies include trend-based idea development from social media, culinary storytelling, exploration of Javanese cultural identity, strong host characterization, and engaging visuals. From Stuart Hall’s encoding–decoding perspective, producers intentionally encode cultural and entertainment messages, while audiences engage in dominant and negotiated readings. The study concludes that integrating structured production management and adaptive creative strategies is essential to sustain the relevance and competitiveness of local television programs in the digital era.
