Abstract

This research aims to design and implement a monitoring system for key parameters in the biogas production process, namely temperature, humidity, and pH of cow dung liquid using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. This system is designed to support the efficiency and reliability of the anaerobic fermentation process in a biogas plant digester developed in a livestock environment. A DHT11 sensor is used to measure temperature and humidity, while an analog pH sensor is used to measure the acidity level of the liquid in the digester. All data is transmitted in real time via an ESP8266 module to the ThingSpeak cloud platform, which allows for online data visualization and analysis. Test results show that the system is able to operate stably with an accuracy of ±1°C for temperature, ±3% for humidity, and ±0.2 for pH compared to conventional measuring instruments. This system is expected to assist farmers in continuously monitoring biogas conditions and become the basis for automation of fermentation process control in the future.

Abstract

The cultivation of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) requires optimal temperature and humidity control to ensure maximum growth. One of the main challenges faced by mushroom farmers is the difficulty in monitoring and controlling environmental conditions in real time, which can negatively impact yield quality and productivity. This study aims to design and implement an intelligent system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to automatically monitor and regulate temperature and humidity in oyster mushroom cultivation rooms. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, a DHT11 sensor for temperature and humidity measurement, a relay module as an automatic switch, a mist maker to maintain humidity, and a DC fan to control air circulation. Environmental data are transmitted in real time to a Telegram Bot application, allowing users to monitor conditions remotely via smartphones. The experimental results show that all system components functioned properly and responsively. The DHT11 sensor accurately detected temperature and humidity variations, the relay operated stably in controlling connected devices, the mist maker effectively increased humidity, and the DC fan successfully reduced room temperature. In addition, the Telegram Bot provided automatic notifications and responded to user commands without noticeable delay. Overall, the IoT-based intelligent system proved effective in maintaining stable environmental conditions for oyster mushroom cultivation, improving monitoring efficiency, and supporting farmers in enhancing both yield quality and productivity.

Abstract

The measurement of dam water level is an important aspect in water resource management and flood risk mitigation. Conventional monitoring systems still have limitations in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and the availability of real-time information. This study aims to implement the Fuzzy Logic Tsukamoto method in an Internet of Things (IoT)-based dam water level measurement system using the ESP8266. The research method employed is a descriptive method, which includes system design, water level sensor data collection, data processing using the fuzzy method, and system testing. In this study, the fuzzy input variable is the water level with linguistic sets of low, medium, and high, while the output variable is the dam status with the sets of safe, alert, and danger. Based on the test results, at a water level value of 40 cm, the membership degrees obtained were μ_low = 0.3, μ_medium = 1.00, and μ_high = 0.22. The fuzzy inference process produced a crisp output value using the Tsukamoto defuzzification method of 87.45, which is categorized as an alert condition. The test results indicate that the system is capable of processing sensor data accurately and providing real-time information on water level conditions through the internet network. Therefore, the implementation of Fuzzy Logic Tsukamoto in an IoT-based system using ESP8266 can be an effective and reliable solution for monitoring dam water levels and supporting fast and accurate decision-making.

Abstract

Mental health disorders among adolescents in Indonesia remain largely underdetected due to limited access to services, persistent stigma, and the lack of personalized feedback in conventional screening tools. This study developed and evaluated a web-based mental health screening system that integrates the DASS-21 questionnaire with a large language model (GPT-4) to generate personalized intervention recommendations. The system was built using the Waterfall methodology and designed to calculate DASS-21 severity scores for depression, anxiety, and stress, then pass both quantitative scores and optional user free-text input to the LLM via API. Black-box testing was conducted to validate functional requirements, and the System Usability Scale (SUS) was administered to 30 adolescent users to assess usability. Results showed that all functional test cases passed after resolving an initial LLM response parser issue. The average SUS score was 91.59 (Grade A, Acceptable range), with no participant rating the system below 70, indicating consistently high usability across users. The hybrid approach proved advantageous: the DASS-21 provided clinical grounding that reduced LLM hallucination risk, while the LLM added contextual personalization that static questionnaires lack. However, the high usability score does not automatically translate to clinical effectiveness. Future work should include clinical validation studies comparing LLM-generated recommendations against psychologist assessments.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence has brought fundamental changes to the social commerce ecosystem, particularly on the TikTok platform, which has now become one of the largest online shopping channels in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of the artificial intelligence recommendation system on the effectiveness of digital promotion on the TikTok platform in Indonesia, while considering the moderating roles of user trust and privacy concerns. The method used is quantitative, with a cross-sectional survey design involving 320 active TikTok users aged 17–45 years. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that the AI recommendation system has a positive and significant effect on both user engagement (β = 0.612) and purchase conversion (β = 0.548). User trust was found to strengthen this relationship, while privacy concerns significantly weakened it. These findings confirm that the effectiveness of AI-based promotion does not depend solely on the sophistication of the algorithm, but also on the ecosystem of trust built among the platform, marketers, and consumers. This study provides practical contributions for digital business actors in Indonesia in designing promotional strategies that are more human-centered and responsible.

Abstract

This study develops a decision support system to determine appropriate formal education levels based on student violations using the Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) method with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) technique. The system integrates a microcontroller and Internet of Things (IoT) technology for real-time data collection and monitoring. Several criteria, including violation frequency, type, behavior, and academic performance, are evaluated and weighted to produce ranking results. The result of the SAW method calculation shows that the third alternative (Senior High School or SLTA) obtained a score of 17.15. This value is the highest compared to the other alternatives. This means that the SLTA level becomes the primary category where smoking violations by students are strictly prohibited. This is because students at the SLTA level tend to exhibit more rebellious behavior and higher ego, causing rules to be sometimes ignored. The microcontroller functions as the control system for cigarette smoke. The sensor used for detection is the MQ-2 gas sensor, which is also highly sensitive to air quality, including CO₂, ammonia, benzene, and cigarette smoke. The Internet of Things (IoT) is used for remote monitoring of cigarette smoke detection in a room. This system utilizes notifications from the Telegram application connected to the principal’s mobile phone.

Abstract

This study applies the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to select shrimp types in a microcontroller and solar panel-based shrimp drying control system. The aim is to enhance drying efficiency by determining the most suitable shrimp type based on multiple criteria, including moisture content, shrimp size, drying time, temperature, and humidity. The system uses sensors to monitor environmental conditions in real time and a microcontroller to automate the drying process, while solar panels provide a sustainable energy source. The SAW method evaluates each alternative by normalizing criteria values and calculating preference scores to produce a final ranking. the solar panel-based shrimp drying control system provides an efficient and sustainable solution for the drying process. By integrating sensors, a microcontroller, and automatic actuators, the system can maintain optimal temperature, humidity, and airflow. The electrical energy generated from the solar panel reaches a maximum of 90 within 5 hours. Based on the SAW method calculation, the highest value is obtained by rebon shrimp (Acetes Shrimp) as Alternative 5, with a score of 18.16. Meanwhile, the lowest humidity value measured by the sensor is 10.5% RH, indicating that the drying chamber has reached optimal conditions, allowing the shrimp to dry properly without spoilage
