Abstract

Education is a fundamental right of every learner and an obligation in Islamic teachings aimed at developing human potential comprehensively. However, the phenomena of student transfers (mutasi) and school dropouts remain serious issues in the education sector, affecting the continuity of the learning process and the future of young generations. This study aims to examine the phenomena of student transfers and dropouts from the perspective of Islamic education and to formulate appropriate strategies for addressing them based on Islamic values. The research method used is library research by reviewing various relevant sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, academic books, and previous studies. The findings indicate that transfers and dropouts are influenced by economic limitations, low learning motivation, lack of family support, and unsupportive social environments. In Islam, every child has the right to receive an education, and school dropout is a condition that contradicts the principle of the obligation to seek knowledge. Islamic values such as ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood), family responsibility, social justice, and the spirit of learning as an act of worship serve as the foundation for preventive efforts. The strategies proposed include preventive approaches such as strengthening family-based education, fostering Islamic character, and creating a religious school environment, as well as curative approaches including Islamic counseling, adaptation support for transferred students, and social assistance through zakat, infaq, and sadaqah. Therefore, an integrative approach grounded in Islamic teachings is required to effectively and sustainably address these issues.

Abstract

The transformation of the public relations (PR) role in crisis communication has become a strategic issue in managing educational institutions in the era of social media. Advances in communication technology present new challenges, where the flow of information moves rapidly, openly, and beyond the full control of institutions. This study aims to analyze how PR adapts in managing public communication and reputation crises through the use of social media as the main platform. The method used is library research by reviewing literature related to educational public relations, social media, crisis communication, and the dynamics of digital transformation. The findings show that PR no longer functions merely as an information disseminator, but rather as an active, responsive, and data-driven public relations manager. PR professionals must possess digital competencies such as creative content production, audience analysis, and real-time issue and crisis mitigation. Social media offers great opportunities for institutional branding, but it also presents risks of negative issues and hoaxes that may damage reputation. Therefore, the implementation of a structured, ethical crisis communication strategy that focuses on restoring public trust is crucial. This study emphasizes that the transformation of the PR role is a key determinant in sustaining the reputation of educational institutions amid increasing competition and the complex dynamics of digital communication.

Abstract

The transformation of the public relations role in crisis communication has become a strategic issue. A strong organizational culture is an essential factor in improving the quality of education and shaping the character of students in Islamic educational institutions. At MI Raudlatul Ulum, challenges still exist regarding the consistency of implementing Islamic values, teacher involvement in learning innovation, and suboptimal internal communication and collaboration. This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening organizational culture through transformational leadership as an effort to enhance teacher professionalism, learning quality, and student character development. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and staff, as well as documentation of school activities. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify strategies, challenges, and the impact of organizational culture strengthening. The findings show that the implementation of transformational leadership through strengthening the school’s vision and mission, fostering Islamic morals and values, mentoring and empowering teachers, collaboration-based management, establishing effective communication systems, value-based performance evaluation, and recognition of active participation can reinforce a harmonious, productive, and Islamic organizational culture. These strategies increase the motivation, engagement, and loyalty of teachers and staff while creating a conducive learning environment for students. The implications of this study indicate that transformational leadership can serve as an effective model for other Islamic educational institutions in building a sustainable school culture oriented toward moral values, ethics, and academic achievement.

Abstract

The main issue underlying this study is the suboptimal role of Islamic educational leaders in carrying out their duties and functions comprehensively, resulting in the quality of educational services in many institutions not meeting the expected standards. Weak leadership in the areas of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling has led to ineffective and unsustainable learning services, administrative services, and character development programs. This study aims to analyze the duties and functions of Islamic educational leaders and their contribution to improving the quality of educational services. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing various academic sources such as books, scholarly journals, and relevant research documents. The findings reveal that leaders who understand Islamic values and modern leadership theories are able to carry out managerial and spiritual functions synergistically to enhance educational service quality. Visionary, adaptive, communicative, and integrity-driven leaders are proven to encourage the creation of higher-quality, responsive, and character-oriented educational services. The implications of this study emphasize that improving the quality of Islamic education depends heavily on leadership capacity, thus requiring continuous leadership development, professional management practices, and the integration of Islamic values throughout all educational service processes.

Abstract

This study examines the recruitment strategies and professional development processes of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in the digital era. The main issue identified is the limited use of technology in teacher selection and training, which results in learning quality that has not fully met 21st-century demands. The purpose of this study is to analyze digital-based recruitment strategies for PAI teachers and to explore effective forms of professional development in responding to educational transformation. Using a library research method, this study reviews literature on digital recruitment, teacher professionalism, and technology integration in Islamic education. The findings show that digital recruitment—through online platforms, technology-based assessments, and virtual interviews—enhances the efficiency and objectivity of the selection process and ensures that candidates possess sufficient pedagogical competence and digital literacy. Furthermore, continuous professional development involving technology training, learning communities, self-evaluation, and spiritual reinforcement contributes significantly to improving the quality of PAI teachers. The study implies that Islamic educational institutions must integrate technology throughout their human resource management processes to prepare adaptive, professional, and values-driven PAI teachers capable of meeting the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

strategic planning, a lack of organizational order, and suboptimal supervision and evaluation systems. These conditions indicate a gap between the ideal Islamic values and managerial practices in Islamic educational institutions. In addition, studies on Islamic education management that are directly based on the Qur’an remain limited and tend to be normative in nature. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the principles of Islamic education management from the perspective of the Qur’an and to relate them to contemporary theories of Islamic education management. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research. The primary data consist of Qur’anic verses relevant to educational management principles, namely Qur’an Surah Al-Hasyr verse 18, Surah Ash-Shaff verse 4, and Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 7, while secondary data are obtained from scholarly literature and the works of Islamic education management scholars. Data were collected through documentation studies and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that the Qur’an contains principles of visionary and responsible planning, orderly and collective organization, as well as supervision and evaluation based on spiritual awareness. These principles are aligned with Azyumardi Azra’s theory of Islamic education management, which emphasizes professionalism and institutional modernization. The implications of this study suggest that the application of Qur’anic management principles can serve as a conceptual foundation for realizing effective, accountable, and sustainable management of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Leadership plays a strategic role in shaping organizational work culture; however, not all leadership styles are capable of creating a strong and sustainable work culture. One common issue that often arises is the dependence of work culture on a leader’s figure without the institutionalization of clear values. Charismatic leadership is often considered effective, yet there is still debate regarding its impact on organizational work culture. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the characteristics of charismatic leaders and their impact on organizational work culture based on a literature review. This study employs a qualitative method using a library research approach. Data were collected through a review of books, scholarly journals, and relevant publications discussing charismatic leadership and work culture. Data analysis techniques included content analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that the characteristics of charismatic leaders such as a clear vision, moral integrity, inspirational communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence play a role in building trust and employees’ emotional attachment. This trust encourages the internalization of leadership values that shape a visionary and adaptive work culture. In conclusion, charismatic leadership has a significant influence on organizational work culture; however, it needs to be balanced with strong organizational systems to ensure the sustainable development of work culture.

Abstract

Globalization has brought significant changes to the management of educational institutions, including Islamic education, which is required to be adaptive, professional, and competitive without losing its Islamic identity. The main issue addressed in this study is the persistent gap between the ideal values of Islamic education management and management practices that are capable of responding to global challenges. This study aims to analyze the paradigm of Islamic education management in the era of globalization and its implications for educational quality. The research employs a library research method by examining various literature sources, including textbooks, academic journals, and scholarly works relevant to Islamic education management and globalization. Data are analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify emerging concepts, patterns, and management paradigms. The findings indicate that the paradigm of Islamic education management has shifted toward an adaptive and integrative model that combines Islamic values with modern management principles. Islamic education management is no longer merely administrative in nature but is oriented toward quality improvement, professionalism, and human resource development. Globalization does not weaken Islamic values; rather, it encourages their actualization within management practices. The implications of this study highlight the urgent need for Islamic educational institutions to implement value-based governance systems that integrate strategic management, quality assurance, and professional human resource development rooted in Islamic principles. This paradigm shift positions Islamic values not merely as normative foundations but as operational frameworks that enhance institutional competitiveness, sustainability, and holistic educational excellence in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Educational institutions continue to face low educator work ethic, reflected in poor discipline, inadequate preparation, and weak responsibility, which are largely influenced by an underdeveloped organizational culture that hampers the internalization of professionalism and ultimately affects education quality. This study aims to examine organizational culture as the foundation for the formation of work ethic in educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Research data were obtained from various written sources, including textbooks, scientific journal articles, and previous studies relevant to organizational culture and work ethic in education. Data collection was conducted through systematic literature searching, selection, and classification, while data analysis was conducted using content analysis with a descriptive-analytical approach. The results of the literature review indicate that organizational culture plays a crucial role in shaping the attitudes, behaviors, and work commitment of educators and educational staff. Cultural values such as discipline, responsibility, professionalism, and integrity are identified as the core foundations in developing a strong work ethic. Furthermore, leadership that is consistent with organizational cultural values strengthens the internalization of work ethic within educational environments. The theoretical synthesis confirms that a strong work ethic does not emerge instantly but is formed through a positive and sustainable organizational culture. This study concludes that strengthening organizational culture is a strategic effort to enhance work ethic and improve the quality of education
