Abstract

Early marriage remains a complex social phenomenon influenced by cultural traditions, religious values, economic conditions, and social structures. This study aims to analyze the patterns of action underlying early marriage practices through the perspectives of social action theory, systems theory, and religion. The research employed a qualitative literature review method by analyzing scientific publications, books, journal articles, and research reports obtained from reputable databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect. A total of 52 relevant sources published between 2015 and 2025 were selected through screening and thematic classification processes. The findings indicate that early marriage is predominantly driven by non-rational social actions, particularly affective and traditional actions shaped by emotions, customs, and social pressures. However, religion also functions as a form of value-oriented rationality, where marriage is viewed as a moral effort to avoid deviant behavior and preserve social values. From the perspective of Talcott Parsons’ systems theory, early marriage represents a mechanism of social adaptation, integration, goal attainment, and cultural maintenance within society. Meanwhile, Niklas Luhmann’s General Systems Theory explains that family systems create internal communication boundaries and agreements that legitimize early marriage practices. This study contributes theoretically by integrating social action theory, systems theory, and religious perspectives into a comprehensive framework for understanding early marriage as both an individual and systemic social phenomenon. The study recommends strengthening educational access, reproductive health literacy, and contextual religious understanding to reduce the prevalence of early marriage in contemporary society.

Abstract

The integration of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) with the Independent Curriculum has emerged as a strategic approach to developing holistic, inclusive, and adaptive education in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the concept of integrating the IRE curriculum with the Independent Curriculum, identify existing integration models, and formulate a framework that supports character development and religious moderation. A narrative literature review was employed by analyzing 25 relevant sources, including scientific journal articles, books, and official educational policy documents published between 2021 and 2026. Data were examined through thematic categorization, content analysis, and conceptual synthesis. The findings reveal that curriculum integration promotes contextual, collaborative, and student-centered learning while strengthening character education, critical thinking skills, tolerance, and religious moderation. The integrated curriculum also facilitates the development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies through holistic learning experiences. Furthermore, it contributes to creating inclusive and adaptive educational environments that respond effectively to contemporary social and educational challenges. The study concludes that integrating Islamic Religious Education with the Independent Curriculum provides a strategic framework for enhancing the quality and relevance of Islamic education in Indonesia. Future research should focus on examining the practical implementation and effectiveness of this integration in schools and madrasahs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of religious moderation and digital literacy into the Islamic Religious Education (IRE) curriculum in the post-truth era and to formulate a conceptual curriculum model relevant to contemporary socio-digital challenges. The study employed a qualitative conceptual research design using a library research approach. Data were collected from books, scientific journal articles, policy documents, and previous studies related to Islamic education, religious moderation, digital literacy, and curriculum development. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative content analysis through identification, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of relevant literature. The findings reveal that integrating religious moderation values such as tolerance, justice, balance, and non-violence into the IRE curriculum can foster inclusive, peaceful, and socially responsible learners. In addition, strengthening digital literacy helps students critically evaluate online religious information, prevent misinformation, and engage ethically in digital spaces. The study also found that adaptive learning strategies such as collaborative learning, reflective discussion, and problem-based learning support the implementation of a moderation- and digital literacy-based curriculum. However, challenges related to teachers’ digital competence and unequal technological infrastructure remain significant obstacles. Overall, this study concludes that the integration of religious moderation and digital literacy provides a relevant and transformative framework for developing Islamic Religious Education that is critical, moderate, and adaptive to the challenges of the post-truth era

The method used in this study is Qualitative Study. Results of the study indicate that Islam views human development holistically, encompassing physical, psychological, spiritual, and moral aspects. In contrast to Western theories that emphasize cognitive and psychosocial aspects, Islam emphasizes the goal of development as an effort to achieve happiness in this world and hereafter. Al-Qur'an describes stages of human life in detail, from the process of creation to maturity and old age, even to the post-mortem phase. This study shows that Islamic concept of human development can be an important foundation in education and character development based on divine values

Abstract

This study aims to analyze accountants' perceptions regarding the integration of Sharia accounting principles in Islamic financial institutions in Pacitan, focusing on case studies at BMT Tawakkal and BMT Muamalah. This research employs a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with accountants directly involved in the implementation of Sharia accounting principles in these institutions. The findings reveal that while most Sharia accounting principles, such as transparency, fairness, and the avoidance of riba (usury), have been implemented, several principles have not been fully applied. The main challenge faced is the pressure to achieve high profit margins, which sometimes conflicts with the ideals of Sharia accounting. Therefore, strategic and innovative solutions are needed to ensure more consistent application of Sharia accounting principles, creating a balance between commercial gains and Sharia values. Ultimately, this is expected to bring blessings and justice in the eyes of Allah for all Sharia-compliant business actors
