Abstract

Sumowono and Bandungan sub-districts are parts of Semarang Regency which are designated as one of the rural developments through the agropolitan concept. The agropolitan program was established in 2003 with the aim of improving the welfare and standard of living of the community. In practice, conditions for agropolitan programs in the region are not developing optimally or are stagnant. This was conveyed according to the Central Java Province Regional Planning and Development Agency. Then, based on the report from Bappeda of Central Java Province, it shows that the agropolitan development of Semarang Regency is lagging behind that of Pemalang, Temanggung, Magelang, Brebes, Purworejo, and Karanganyar Regencies. This is because agropolitan activities only focus on land production activities (on farm). Seeing the stagnant agropolitan development, a review of the performance of agropolitan program policies was conducted in Sumowono and Bandungan districts. This study aims to examine the performance of policies in the agropolitan system in Sumowono and Bandungan districts. The results of the analysis above, it can be seen that the performance of the agropolitan program in Sumowono and Bandungan districts is in the quite successful category. This can be seen from the downstream agribusiness subsystem in the two districts which is included in the low category. The downstream agribusiness subsystem score in Sumowono District was 45.09 and Bandungan District was 49.03. This is because the knowledge and skills of farmer groups in utilizing technology for promotion and preservation are still low and marketing reach is still at the provincial level. Thus, the competitiveness of agricultural production in Sumowono and Bandungan Districts is still low.

Abstract

: Low income people do not have enough opportunities to access adequate housing in proper quality standard. They do not have many options for renting or buying affordable housing in the city due to financial constraints. Especially for low-income families (MBR) who already have a family, housing is increasingly needed because of their increasing activity. Currently, the government continues to provide housing assistance for MBR in the form of subsidized Mortgage (KPR FLPP), but the demand for housing continues to increase from time to time. Therefore, providing sustainable affordable housing for low-income families has various challenges. This study aims to explain the socio-economic characteristics and housing preferences of low-income families living in the industrial area in Ungaran Timur, Kabupaten Semarang. The research is located in East Ungaran Subdistrict, Semarang Regency as a representation of the mediumsized city area in Central Java Province. In the research location, five type of housing occupancy status found in the area: one unit of low-cost flat (the Ungaran Rusunawa Gedang Anak) and 4 typologies of landed houses categorized by rights statuses: home ownership rights, rental houses in installments(leasing), and rental landed houses. The research method used is quantitative by using a questionnaire to 100 MBR families(respondents). Identification of socio-economic characteristics using descriptive methods and cross tabulation, identification of physical characteristics of the dwelling using the scoring method with a Likert scale, and identification of occupancy preferences using descriptive methods. Based on the research, it was found that families who can afford homeownership housing have a minimum income of IDR 3,500,000 by working as permanent workers. Most families who work as permanent laborers start buying houses at the age of 30-36 years. Meanwhile, families who work as contract laborers and self-employed workers with an average income of below Rp. 3,500,000 choose to live in rental low-cost flat or rental landed house which is located close to the current workplace. Each dwelling shows different physical characteristics. Owned houses and houses in installments undergo building modifications because of their status as property rights, while flat and leased landed houses do not experience a change in building shape because their occupancy status is rented. The location of rusunawa and landed rental houses shows the distance and or accessibility to workplaces of less than 2 km, while low-income families in privately owned houses and houses in installments need to travel more than 2 km to get to work or about 4 km, some families should have 30 minutes commuting to get to their work. In the selection of new housing, most low-income families showed similar preferences where ownership status, proximity to workplaces, availability of clean water infrastructure and disaster-free locations were priorities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality and service level of pedestrian paths. This research is based on the problems that exist in the pedestrian path along Jalan Jend. Ahmad Yani Kota Bekasi which is an urban center. The problems that occur at the location of this study are the damage to the pedestrian path and the occurrence of a change in the function of the pedestrian path which is mostly used by motorized vehicle parking which is an obstacle to the pedestrian path. This study uses the calculation of the Pedestrian Environmental Quality Index (PEQI) and the Pedestrian Level of Service (High Capacity Manual). The method used in this research is by using quantitative methods and the analysis carried out is descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the value of the quality of the pedestrian crossing is in the acceptable category (Class II) where the facilities and infrastructure for the intersection are sufficient for road users, while for the quality of the pedestrian lane itself it is in a bad category (Class IV) due to the condition of the path that is perforated as well as the obstacles or obstacles that occur on the pedestrian path itself. The results of the service level analysis are based on the flow and based on the entry space at the service level c (basic service level).

Abstract

Tangerang City has an increasing population with an annual average of 1.87% between 2009-2019. Increased space requirements, leading to land function changes. The conversion of land use will change the built-up and the vegetation index will affect green open spaces. If it does not support properly, there will be less green open space in Tangerang City. The purpose of the research is to examine implied changes in the built-up and the vegetation index on green open space in Tangerang City. The analysis will be carried out by built-up index, and vegetation index carried out in 2009, 2014, 2019. The analysis is carried out to determine the distribution of the built-up and the vegetation index in the City of Tangerang, so that it can be seen which locations dominated by class distribution high and very high vegetation density. The density class is the assumption that represents green open space. Based on the analysis of the results, the green open space of Tangerang City is less than 30%. So, implications are related to the need for green open space in Tangerang City. The government has implemented the green open space development that has been carried out in the Tangerang City RTRW 2012-2032.

Abstract

Java Mall is a shopping center in the city of Semarang which is located on a secondary collector road, namely the MT. Haryono which is the main trade route of the city of Semarang and is included in one of the Petawangi areas (Peterongan - Tawang - Siliwangi), namely the Peterongan trading area. The development of the development of the Java mall is a special attraction for visitors because every month there are events in the form of computer exhibitions, property, cars, etc., in addition there are cinemas and food markets. The problem that occurred in this research location is the traffic jams that occur due to the influence of the pull of the Java Mall shopping center directly accessed on Jl. MT. Haryono (Semarang). Congestion occurs on the road in front of the Java Mall due to the pull of the Java Mall so that new activities arise such as the use of road bodies for parking vehicles, online motorcycle taxi stops on the shoulder of the road, and street vendors who use the shoulder of the road. Based on these problems, preliminary research was conducted on travel attraction modeling to understand the contribution of Java Mall visitor vehicles to Mt. Haryono based on the development of the area of Java Mall activities. In this study quantitative methods are used. Trip attraction modeling in multi-activity shopping centers is influenced by the floor area of each building shown by the equation Y = 0.003 + 0.151 X1 + 0.052 X2 + 0.066 X3 + 0.091 X4. Calculation of the total trip rate of visitors resulting in a trip attraction generated by the Java Mall during peak hours is 0.066 people / m2, in this case the development of the Java Mall building is considered quite effective with several areas of activity therein.

Abstract

Masjid Agung Semarang is one of the main tourist destination in Semarang, this particular destination is social-culture strategic area according to Regional Spatial Plan of Kota Semarang (RTRW) 2011-2031. Eventually to achieve its target as Social-culture Strategical Area, it needs religious tourism development with a tourism component approachment. Generally aspects which affect religious tourist destination are atraction, accessibility, amenity, activity, available packages, and ancillary services. Hence in this research those aspects will be analyzed further more. Besides, participation of tourist to contribute in the assesment of tourism service attributes considered significant. Based on this value of tourist opinion, identification of assesment from the tourist for the religious tourism destination development in Masjid Agung Semarang. Therefore, the goal of this research is to identify tourist opinion regarding the development of Masjid Agung Semarang area as religious tourism destination based on tourism components.

Abstract

Semarang is the center of government and the center of economic activity in Central Java. The rapidly developing Semarang economy is characterized by an increasing number of in-migration, employment, the quality of education and infrastructure development. These developments led to an increase in the intensity of human movement, which was reflected in an increase in traffic flow dominated by private vehicles. The increasing use of private vehicles can affect the efficiency of the urban economy. One of the efforts in dealing with these problems is by providing public transportation such as BRT. BRT is a manifestation of the development of a public transportation system that supports the concept of Transit Oriented Development (TOD). TOD has a development orientation at the transit point and is surrounded by a high-intensity built-up area with a radius of 400 - 800 meters. To be able to find out whether the transit point in Semarang is in accordance with the development objectives that support TOD, a transit point measurement with the TOD concept in Semarang is measured. The research method used is a quantitative approach with scoring, weighting and spatial analysis methods.The measurement results show that 8% of transit points are in accordance with their application in supporting the concept of Transit Oriented Development with a percentage of transit points that are quite appropriate at 61%, which means that transit points are able to support the transportation system with the concept of Transit Oriented Development. Transit points that are still not appropriate in implementing Transit Oriented Development by 31% of transit points so that it needs to be considered in order to be adapted to local policies to be able to support the transportation system with the concept of Transit Oriented Development. Almost all transit points meet the TOD principle with the use of heterogeneous land use, easy access in changing public transportation modes and designs that support pedestrian and bicycle activities. Only two transit points are included in the "appropriate" category, namely the Simpang Lima transit point and the Gajah transit point. To be able to maximize the transit point, the conformity value of all TOD principles must be included in the high category. However, indicators that are difficult to maximize should be adjusted to the policies in Semarang.

Abstract

Pariwisata perkotaan merupakan industri yang menawarkan keragaman, aksesibilitas, dan fleksibilitas yang dibuat atau dikelola secara khusus atau khusus untuk wisatawan. Wisatawan mengunjungi kota untuk berbagai keperluan baik sebagai daya tarik utama atau sebagai penyedia fasilitas pendukung yang tidak tersedia pada daerah pedesaan, terutama sistem transportasi dan akomodasi (Ashworth, 2012). Transportasi massal merupakan sebuah komponen penting pada pariwisata perkotaan dan disediakan oleh pemerintah setempat guna menambah total pengalaman wisata (Duval, 2011) dan mendukung strategi pembangunan kepariwisataan Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor dari sarana BRT yang berpengaruh terhadap Pengembangan Obyek Wisata Goa Kreo, dengan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dan melalui analisis antara lain merupakan Partial Least Square (PLS) dan Trendline. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah bahwasannya setiap variabel bebas penelitian yakni 1) Aksesibilitas BRT yang mencakupi jaringan jalan, kelengkapan signage dan ketersediaan sarana BRT, 2) Fasilitas BRT yang mencakupi sarana pelayanan BRT serta; 3) Ketertarikan dalam penggunaan BRT berpengaruh terhadap variabel terikat yakni aksesibilitas obyek wisata, fasilitas wisata dan intensi berkunjung yang merepresentasikan pengembangan obyek wisata Goa Kreo. Uji latent variabel correlations menunjukkan bahwa variabel bebas yang memilikki pengaruh terbesar adalah ketertarikan penggunaan BRT, karena mampu mendeskripsikan setiap variabel bebas dengan hasil luaran sebesar 0,622. Aksesibilitas BRT berpengaruh sebesar 0,555 dan Fasilitas BRT berpengaruh sebesar 0,395. Keterarikan penggunaan BRT merupakan variabel yang dipengaruhi indikator ketersediaan aksesibilitas dan fasilitas, serta hasil uji yang bernilai >0,2 menggambarkan pengaruh kuat terhadap variabel terikat.Adapun berdasarkan data pendukung dari hasil dari observasi lapangan, baik pengembangan dalam penggunaan BRT maupun obyek wisata Goa Kreo tersendiri belum terintegrasi terhadap faktor-faktor tersebut. Maka dari itu, penting bagi pengelola obyek wisata dan pihak Trans Semarang untuk memperhatikan dan mengevaluasi hasil dari analisis agar rencana konsep “Obyek Wisata yang Terintegrasi oleh Penggunaan BRT” dapat terealisasi dan berkembang secara optimal.

Abstract

The Klender Flats was the first simple flats that were successfully developed by Perum Perumnas in 1985. The Klender Flats has been around for 34 years. When the flats were established, the Klender Flats were expected to solve the problem of slum settlements and squatter settlements by providing a habitable residential environment. Now, the physical condition of Klender Flats is apprehensive and its environmental conditions are no longer maintained. This study aims to evaluate the Klender flats based on adequate housing criteria. The research methode used in this study is descriptive analysis. Then the results of the descriptive analysis are compared with conditions in the field. So, the output produced in this study found that the condition of the Klender flats is declared no longer fulfilling the criteria for adequate housing.

Abstract

The development of innovation in a particular area cannot be separated from the diffusion of innovation. This diffusion of innovation occurs because of the process of social interaction by related actors in the region. This is explained by Rogers (2003), that the diffusion of innovation is a process when innovation is communicated or mentioned through certain channels for a certain period of time to members of a social system, which then becomes part of the social system. With the diffusion of innovation, an area will experience changes in certain conditions due to the impact of emerging innovations, which will play a role in developing the character of the region. As happened in Jenggot village, the emergence or entry of new patterns influenced changes in the market in terms and the direction of development of the existing batik patterns in the village. Batik patterns that were originally patterned and impressed monotonously with plant and animal-based patterns are becoming more contemporary and fashionable. The diffusion of innovation helps business owners either directly or indirectly in promoting their batik products. Thus increasing the value of the batik product itself.
