Abstract

The Bawen-Tawang Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is urban public transportation in Central Java that experienced a decline in passengers due to the 2020–2021 pandemic. The risk of the new pathogen disease X creating a negative pandemic for public transportation is because it is transmitted through the air and physical contact. This research aims to measure the preferences of the pandemic-adaptive Bawen-Tawang BRT based on stated preferences. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire survey of eight service scenarios for 100 users using non-probability accidental techniques and quantitative descriptive analysis, including descriptive statistics, logistic regression, and binomial logit models. The results show that there is a change in the preferences of Bawen-Tawang BRT users if the BRT service becomes pandemic-adaptive. The most preferred scenario is service 6 by 94.34% of respondents and scenario 2 by 93.12%, which is 1.22% different due to differences in subsidized rates for service 2. Both services are in accordance with user characteristics. 79% have never had respiratory illnesses, 44% are quite worried about pandemics, rates are not important for 48% of users, and 42% are willing to pay according to the new policy. Safety assurance influenced preferences 4,305 times and adaptive services 4,039 times.

The development of tourism in Indonesia is currently focused on developing rural tourism due to the changing trend of conventional tourism destinations becoming traditional. Tubing Bon Pondoh is one of the tourist attractions based on local potential in the form of tubing curving activities that utilize irrigation canals and is located in Temanggung Regency. From its early development until now, formal and informal community figures have not directly participated in the development of the Tubing Bon Pondoh, especially formal community figures, the village head. The importance of the role of community figures, both formal and informal, is the aim of this article, which is to examine the role of formal and informal community figures in the development of the Tubing Bon Pondoh tourist attraction. Using qualitative methods with resource selection techniques using snowball sampling and thematic and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, the information that can be presented in this article is regarding informal community figures who continue to carry out development activities for the Tubing Bon Pondoh tourist attraction even though there is no participation and support from the village head as formal community figures because it has the support of the district government, the tourism office, and the head of the Temanggung Regency Pokdarwis.

Abstract

Residents of Sendangmulyo Village tend to live in small to medium scale housing which triggers problems related to housing quality which are usually found in self-help houses, namely houses built on the basis of community efforts and tend to produce irregular and unhealthy housing. This article aims to identify the existing condition of self-help housing based on healthy housing requirements according to the guidebook by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing and the Decree of the Minister of Health No. 829 of 1999 concerning Housing Health Requirements. The results of the study prove that self-help housing in RW 008 Sendangmulyo Village is still dominated by houses that are not healthy with lack of air quality and lighting systems in the house. Therefore, the level of comfort and welfare of the occupants of the house at the research location must be considered again. This study recommends that the Semarang City Government can be more detailed and clear in creating self-help housing development regulations. Furthermore, if possible, the regulation should be socialized to people who want to build their houses independently so that the physical condition of the existing house buildings in each self-help housing can be more in line with healthy home guidelines and there is no inequality between one house and another.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the readiness of traders from the South Johar Sub-Rayon from the relocation site back to the Johar Market, Semarang. The study used quantitative methods with variables, namely identification of relocation policies, assessing the readiness and perceptions of traders and processed by descriptive techniques and scoring analysis. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, interviews, field observations, document reviews and literature studies. The results of the research are traders are very ready to return to Pasar Johar Semarang and overall conditions are better such as the conditions of zoning arrangements, circulation, waste management systems, drainage systems and waste water management, availability of green open spaces and safety systems in buildings. There are two aspects that are deemed inadequate, namely the condition of kiosks and stalls as well as the existence of parking and loading and unloading places, but traders are required to adapt because Johar Market is a cultural heritage building so it must be rearranged and is expected to be able to adjust trading strategies by making Johar Market Semarang as a showcase of commodities that are sold, and for warehouses can wait for the construction of the Main Market in Rejomulyo.

Abstract

The development model in Indonesia which is centralized and top-down creates many gaps in the achievement of development outcomes, such as the gap between men, women and marginalized groups in gaining access, control, participation, and benefits of development programs/activities, especially in rural in Indonesia. These four aspects need to be implemented in gender responsive planning through policies and programs systematically by placing priority on gender equality, one of which is through the SGDs Desa. This study looks at the level of implementation of gender integration through SDGs Desa in relation to rural development planning in Kemojing Village as a pilot project. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach through data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires up to 90 respondents, interviews, field observations, and document review. The analytical technique used includes 2 technical analysis, checklist analysis and scoring analysis. The checklist produces the level of disclosure while the scoring produces the aspect index value. The results showed that the characteristics of the existing planning in Kemojing Village were 81.67% gender responsive to indicators of aspects of participation, access, benefits, and control. This is supported by the role of the Government in planning an integrated village program, through which village facilitators have succeeded in increasing individual capacity in updating data. Regarding the level of gender integration in the Desa Terpadu Program, the community participation aspect reached 45.19%, the access aspect was 82.59%, the benefit aspect was 70.37%, and the control aspect was 88.52%. The success of implementing gender integration in existing planning and program in Kemojing Village is superior in terms of control and access. This indicates that the closedness of community participation is still a challenge regardless of the participatory approach used in the SDGs Desa. Research findings become input in determining planning policies and efforts to realize gender responsive planning and the sustainability of village development programs.

Abstract

There is no support from CSR, lack of promotion and marketing, as well as community participation, especially youth. This study aims to determine the level of utilization of potential tourist attractions owned by Hasta Karya Village as a tourist destination and to formulate directions for utilizing its potential. The study used a quantitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, interviews, and field observations. The results of the analysis show that Hasta Karya Village has the potential for handicrafts with originality values that are able to attract tourists. Abstract

This study investigates the development of industry which is located in a rural area setting. It quite contradicts the mainstream phenomena where most industries try to maintain their proximity to major cities. Although Grobogan Regency is an example of an administrative region dominated by rural areas, its industrial sector has become the largest contributors of the regional GDP. The existence of a large scale industry in Tanjungrejo Village, Grobogan Regency may explain this regional economic tendency. Other than its economic impacts, lack of study focusing on other dimension of impacts of such industries. Therefore this paper aims to understand the impact of the large scale industry in Tanjungrejo, Wirosari, Grobogan particularly from temporal and spatial point of views. This study employs quasi experiment with a primary questionnaire data collected through random sampling survey as well as semi-structured interview in the study area and another controlled village.  Additionally, the secondary data sources of this study include document review and utilization of open data maps. This study uses descriptive analysis to provide an explanation of the temporal-spatial impact of each variable (i.e. land use and social changes). The results shows that industrial development in the village has impacts on the increasing availability of facilities, income and employment, while its social impacts are less significant.
