Abstract

Project time scheduling is one of the keys to the success of a project. With the project scheduling, project activities can run effectively and smoothly. There are several project scheduling methods commonly used in construction projects. One of them is the Line of balance method. Line of balance method is one of the methods that is suitable on projects that have repetitive work. In this research, the author takes a case study on the Devely Residence housing project in Batam City. There are as many as 220 housing units in this project. From the results of the research conducted, it shows that the Line of Balance method can be used in repetitive projects such as housing in Development Residence. The result shows that by using this method, the 220-unit Devely Residence project can be completed in 349 days. Whereas in real implementation in the field, this project is completed within 365 days. Thus, there is a 16-day difference in project completion.

Abstract

Reinforced concrete is a concrete structure that has reinforcement in the form of reinforced steel. The strength of reinforced concrete relies on several factors, one of which is the quality of the concrete. However, the actual onsite concrete quality condition is always different from the planned concrete quality, so it is necessary to test the quality of the concrete. In this study, an analysis of the effect of concrete quality on the nominal beam moment will be carried out at the Operational Control Station (SPO) owned by PT. Pertamina gas. The method that will be used in this research is a comparative quantitative method where the results of the research are in the form of comparison of the nominal moment value of a beam at SPO on the onsite concrete quality compared to planned concrete quality. The quality planned concrete used was the K-300 quality on day 28 as well as the onsite concrete quality obtained in the PMRK-EPC-00-QAC-NOI-708 document. From the results of this study, the design concrete quality (fc' = 24.9 MPa) produces a nominal moment of 166,432 kNm with a value of a = 88,651 mm and the onsite concrete quality (fc' = 35,722 MPa) produces a nominal moment of 174 kNm with a value of a = 61,794 mm. From the results of the study, it was found that the quality of the concrete had a very little effect on the nominal beam moment. an increase in the quality of concrete by 30.29% only resulted in an increase in the nominal moment of 4.349% from the nominal moment of planned concrete quality.

Abstract

Expansion in the global economic sector has caused urbanization in many countries, including Indonesia. The fast-paced and widespread dynamics of urban society are one of the reasons for the development of the transportation system. However, Indonesia is facing a traffic jam problem, especially in Greater Jakarta. One of the main causes is people commuting from Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi to Jakarta to carry out various activities. Public transport is an important alternative to overcome people's dependence on private transportation. In this study, an assessment of the performance of public transport services for the Pondok Gede - Cililitan route was carried out based on user preferences. The method used is a quantitative approach to public transport passengers from Pondok Gede - Cililitan. The research parameters were conducted through the trip's characteristics and service quality. Based on the research, public satisfaction with Pondok Gede-Cililitan public transportation is easy to reach and change modes. On the other hand, the points of comfort, security, waiting time, speed, travel time, and regularity still need to be improved for the quality of service. As a form of management commitment, the results of this research can be used as material for evaluating the quality of public transport performance to re-optimize and increase public interest in using public transportation, especially public transport, to reduce regional congestion levels.

Abstract

The development of transportation is increasing day by day. Increased transportation can cause a problem, especially land transportation; the problem is traffic congestion. The road in Simpang Mangsang, Tanjung Piayu, Batam City, is clear proof of the traffic congestion caused by the problem of lousy intersection direction. This is done research related to the problems that occur. This study was conducted by distributing a 100-form questionnaire that will be responded to by motorists passing through the road. The purpose of this study is to find out the condition of the road when there is a traffic jam. The results of this study obtained an excellent average score on the importance assessment, which was 3.90. This value is the primary interest that results from the driver's response. Furthermore, it needs even better improvement and obtained the average score of the satisfaction assessment when there is a traffic jam, which is 2.18. This is a slightly weak satisfaction score due to the problem's congestion.

Abstract

Batam is never quiet in traffic activities, especially when traveling to Batam International University. This is characterized by frequent traffic jams on two roads to campus, especially in the morning and evening. Regarding congestion factors that increase travel time, it contributes significantly to the traffic transportation process on the travel route to the campus of Universitas Internasional Batam, especially private vehicles. For this reason, an analysis of the accessibility of private vehicles is needed based on the existing travel routes in Batam to the campus of the International University of Batam. This analytical research is carried out based on time and distance—accessibility parameters based on the percentile statistical method. From the percentile table, the accessibility value is divided into three parts, namely high, medium, and low. The results of the analysis of private vehicles showed six route trips with high accessibility values, five travel routes with medium accessibility values, and seven routes travel with low accessibility values.

Abstract

Jalan Lakshmana Bintan, which is precisely in front of the primary school and the Hijrah industrial complex, is currently a hot topic of conversation for the people living in the area. The intersections in front of the exit of the site are often congested. This happened because the road section shrank from 2 lanes to 1 lane when passing through the site. Intersections in the right area must be equipped with signs so they are dangerous for passing people. This research uses guidelines from MKJI 1997. Data were obtained from the volume of traffic that occurs within 1 hour from 12.00-13.00 on Saturday 12,11,2022 at Jalan Laksamana Bintan, Batam, Indonesia. From the analysis, we find out that the level of services (LOS) in Jalan Laksamana Bintan road is C, so from this research, it can be concluded that Jalan Laksamana Bintan is still relatively stable during busy vehicle times.

Abstract

The Cost Budget Plan (RAB) is prepared at the initial planning stage of a project. At planning stage, make a RAB intend to find out how much the cost required for building / developing the project. During preparation, it is very crucial to have budget approaching expense carried out on site therefore to avoid loss and achieve success in project. In Indonesia, there are few arrangements, namely the BOW method, the 2016 AHSP method, and the contractor method. The author calculates the Budget Plan using the BOW method, AHSP 2016 and the contractor method by calculating the unit cost of work per method. The unit cost of work is obtained by first calculating the basic unit price in the form of a multiplication between the coefficient and the unit price. The results showed that the contractor method was more effective and efficient. The calculation results show that the BOW is Rp3.574.900.000, while the 2016 AHSP method is Rp870.723.000, and the contractor method is Rp775.817.000. The comparison results find that the percentage of the BOW method is 75.64% greater than the 2016 AHSP method, while the 2016 AHSP method is 10.90% greater than the contractor method, then the percentage comparison of the BOW method is 78.30% greater than the contractor method.

Abstract

Concrete is a composite material made of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, cement, as well as water, and other additive materials if necessary. Concrete is a widely used construction material in buildings. In most cases, the main structure of a building consists of concrete. According to the Indonesian Concrete Regulation of 1971 (PBI), the quality of concrete is divided into three classes: class one, class two, and class three, depending on the specific requirements of each concrete. The foundation, located at the bottom of a building, plays a vital role in supporting the entire structure's load. It is an essential component of the lower structure and carries the weight of the building above it. There are different types of foundations, such as shallow foundations and pad foundations. A compromised foundation dramatically increases the risk of a bridge collapsing. Besides withstanding vertical forces, the foundation must also endure horizontal loads. Bridges typically rely on a foundation as their primary support structure. Concrete is commonly used for bridge foundations, which can be cast on-site or prefabricated beforehand. However, not all foundations can be prefabricated due to size limitations on the project site. Extra attention is required when casting concrete on-site. The quality of the concrete has a significant impact on the foundation's quality. An inadequate foundation significantly raises the risk of a bridge collapse. When undertaking on-site concrete casting, extra attention is necessary. The quality of the concrete substantially impacts the future foundation's quality. An inadequate foundation significantly raises the chances of a bridge collapse. Therefore, careful inspection is crucial to ensure the concrete's quality and prevent any undesirable situations.
