Abstract

Based on the seismic hazard map of SNI 1726:2019, East Kotawaringin Regency is classified as a Zone-1 region with relatively very low seismic potential. However, an earthquake with a magnitude of approximately 4.5 occurred on 30 October 2023, indicating the possible need to reassess the regional seismic hazard classification from Zone-1 to Zone-2. This study aims to evaluate the structural performance of existing buildings under seismic loads corresponding to Zone-1 and Zone-2 conditions in accordance with SNI 1726:2019. The analysis results indicate that the total dynamic base shear of all buildings exceeds 85% of the total static base shear, satisfying the seismic design requirements. Interstorey drift evaluation shows that all buildings meet the allowable limits under Zone-1 seismic loading, whereas under Zone-2 loading, one building does not satisfy the drift requirement, representing 6.66% of the total buildings analyzed. The mass participation ratios in the principal seismic directions exceed 90%, confirming that the number of vibration modes considered is sufficient to represent the dynamic behavior of the structures. The increase in seismic demand from Zone-1 to Zone-2 results in a relatively small increase in axial forces in columns of 0.93%, while significant increases are observed in shear forces and bending moments, with column shear forces increasing by 12.48% in the x-direction and 11.24% in the y-direction, and bending moments increasing by 12.98% in the x-direction and 11.09% in the y-direction. For beam elements, shear forces increase by 3.82% and bending moments by 4.87%. The structural performance evaluation shows that the average ratio of nominal capacity to ultimate demand increases from 0.65 under Zone-1 conditions to 0.70 under Zone-2 conditions, corresponding to an increase of 8.49%. Furthermore, three buildings are classified as unsafe, accounting for 20% of the total buildings evaluated.

Abstract

Samosir Regency is an area that is considered one of the tourist destinations located in North Sumatra Province. Its tourism assets are diverse, one of which is the Aek Sipitu Dai tourist attraction located in Sianjur Mula-mula District, Samosir Regency. Aek Sipitu Dai is one of the tourist sites that needs to be developed due to its lack of appeal totourists, resulting in a low number of visits to this destination. The purpose of this research is to formulate directions for the development of Aek Sipitu Dai Tourism. To achieve this goal, specific objectives need to be established, namely evaluating the physical and environmental conditions using the scoring analysis method, and then formulating development directions for tourism in the Aek Sipitu Dai area using triangulation analysis. After the research was conducted, the results consisted of analysis values of the physical and environmental conditions, each with their respective assessment scales for each variable. To formulate directions for the development of the Aek Sipitu Dai tourism area, the results of the physical and environmental condition analyses are compared using the data source triangulation analysis technique.

Abstract

Major cities in Indonesia, including Majalengka, are facing significant problems related to traffic congestion. Babakan Road is one of the significant congestion points in the city of Majalengka. Jalan Babakan in the City of Majalengka, during peak hours, one of the busiest roads in Majalengka experiences traffic congestion. This congestion can cause exhaust emissions and queues on the roads. Most roads in the city of Majalengka experience traffic congestion due to the imbalance between population growth, the number of vehicles, and the underdeveloped road infrastructure. This imbalance is caused by the imbalance between population growth, the number of vehicles, and road development. This study aims to determine the impact of traffic congestion on Babakan Road in Majalengka City. This research will use the MKJI 1997 rules as the main reference or foundation to measure and assess congestion needs. In this study, surveys and observations are used to collect data. For primary data, it consists of the number of vehicles passing by, Microsoft Excel 2021, and Traffic Counter software. Secondary data is MKJI 1997. For the data on the highway segment, it consists of a two-lane, two-way road (2/2 UD). This research focuses on studying speed and density to help determine the average vehicle speed and average vehicle density. Regarding the results of the Babakan road study. Low traffic congestion levels usually occur during the day, while high traffic congestion levels usually occur in the morning and evening. Narrow roads, many vehicles, intersections, commuter mobility, and a limited number of public transport are some of the causes of congestion on Jalan Babakan. To address this congestion, there are several alternatives, such as increasing road capacity, increasing the number of public transportation, limiting the number of private vehicles, and setting age restrictions for drivers passing through Jalan Babakan.

Abstract

In Sukaraja Square, congestion often occurs, as well as increasing the risk of accidents due to the absence of adequate traffic arrangements. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the road performance that occurs in the center of community activities due to side obstacles. This research uses the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023 method. The survey was conducted at the Sukaraja Square intersection. The data collected included road geometry, vehicle volume and vehicle speed. For data collection in the road intersection area and the center of community activities using the method of systematic observation of vehicles in the road area. The results of this study indicate that there is no major potential hazard but the surrounding community must remain careful because the area is still with inadequate facilities.

Abstract

Traffic congestion on Jatiwangi-Ligung Road in Majalengka Regency has become a major problem. The purpose of this study is to find out the causes of congestion and find the best way to solve it. This study found through field observations, traffic data analysis, and literature studies that the main causes of congestion are the increasing number of private vehicles, limited road capacity, and lack of public transportation integration. In addition, conventional markets and non-ideal intersections worsen traffic conditions. Based on these findings, this study recommends several strategies to overcome congestion, including: increasing road capacity, developing an integrated public transportation system, implementing a technology-based traffic management system, and consistent law enforcement. In addition, active community participation in efforts to reduce congestion is also very important. The results of this study are expected to be a basis for local governments in formulating more comprehensive and sustainable transportation policies, so that they can improve the quality of life of the community and reduce the negative impact of congestion on the local economy.

Abstract

An unsignalized intersection is defined as a meeting of two or more roads not equipped with red lights or traffic signs to control traffic. Traffic problems in Majalengka Regency must be fixed or resolved in an orderly manner. The survey method was used. The research was carried out for two days in one week, and the calculations used MKJI and PKJI. Based on the results of calculations and research conducted at the unsignalized intersection at the Parapatan Munjul Roundabout connecting the road from the East and West of Jalan KH. Abdul Halim from the South of Jalan Pemuda and the North of Jalan Siti Armilah, it was concluded that the total traffic volume during peak hours, namely on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 07.00 - 08.00 with a value of 1562.35 / hour, therefore indicating a poor level of service. The results of the LOS service level have poor information from the East and West, and South and North have good information. Of the population in Majlengka Regency of less than 1.36 million, it will increase over time and traffic volume will increase.
