Abstract

Generation Z faces significant psychological and emotional challenges that affect their subjective well-being. In the digital age, constant social media exposure and online comparison contribute to lower subjective well being. Research in Indonesia shows that spirituality plays an important role in improving subjective well-being. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between Islamic spirituality and subjective well-being. A quantitative correlational approach was conducted on Muslim Gen Z who are in the age range of emerging adults (n = 171, 64 males and 107 females, aged 18-25 years). This study used the Islamic spirituality scale, which refers to Swinton's theory, and the Subjective well-being scale, which was measured using two measuring instruments, namely the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and the Positive Affect Negative Affect Scale (PANAS). Pearson correlation analysis showed that there is a highly significant positive correlation between Islamic spirituality and subjective well-being (r = 0.530, p < 0.001), with the meaning aspect in the Islamic spirituality variable providing the largest positive contribution to respondents' subjective well-being, which is 30.5%. Then there are differences in the level of subjective well-being when viewed from gender where men have a higher level of subjective well-being than women. Islamic spirituality can be applied in the form of therapy, counseling or guidance and counseling to improve subjective well-being in Gen Z, especially in facing difficult times and existential crises.

Abstract

The advancement of technology has led to the increasing popularity of social media across all ages in this digital era due to its diverse benefits in daily life. Notably, 60% of social media users are adolescents. Emotional instability in adolescents frequently gives rise to developmental issues, including behavioral problems such as aggression. A prominent behavioral issue emerging in this digital age is online aggressive behavior, commonly referred to as cyber-aggression. Prior research has demonstrated that adolescents active on social media have engaged in cyber- aggression. This study aims to identify the factors influencing cyber-aggression behavior among adolescents in the digital era. The research design employed is a scoping review. Articles were searched using three databases: Scopus, SpringerLink, and Semantic Scholar. The initial search yielded 10.176 articles, and subsequent screening based on inclusion criteria resulted in 6 eligible articles. The review findings indicate risk and protective factors. Risk factors that come from adolescent’s personal include such as cyber moral disengagement, tendency to worry about others' thoughts and opinions, aggression traits, and also the level of adolescents' perception of threat. Situational factors include such as authoritarian parenting, level of internet exposure, and the amount of time adolescents spend on the internet. While protective factors, identified come from adolescent’s microsystem, such as parents, peers and school climate. Further research is warranted to investigate spesifically the potential protective factors to mitigate cyber-aggression among adolescents in the digital era.

Abstract

This research is proposed to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and social comparison. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a negative relationship between self- acceptance and social comparison in early adult Instagram social media users. The data collection technique used was purposive sampling technique. Research respondents are 18-25 years old and actively using social media Instagram. Respondents totaled 346 people. The measuring instrument used is an adaptation of The-Iowa Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM) scale on social comparison variables and an adaptation of the Self- Acceptance scale on self-acceptance variables. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between self-acceptance and social comparison with r = -0.150 and p = 0.003 (p < 0.05). This means that the higher of self-acceptance, the lower social comparison. Conversely, the lower of self acceptance, the higher social comparison. Based on these results, the research hypothesis are acceptable.

Abstract

Writing skills are one of the basic competencies that must be mastered by elementary school students because they serve as the foundation for the development of language skills at subsequent levels. This study aims to analyze the impact of integrating Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and digital picture-series puzzle media on improving narrative writing skills among elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Narrative writing skills remain low due to conventional teaching practices and the limited use of interactive media that stimulate imagination and sequential thinking. The SLR was conducted by identifying, selecting, evaluating, and synthesizing 18 relevant articles published between 2018 and 2024. The results show that (1) digital puzzle media effectively enhance students’ ability to structure storylines and describe characters; (2) PjBL significantly improves motivation, creativity, and learning autonomy; and (3) the integration of PjBL and puzzle media offers a synergistic effect on narrative writing performance. However, no study has directly and comprehensively combined these two approaches for narrative writing in elementary school contexts, indicating a research gap.

Abstract

The process of booking sports fields that still relies on manual methods often causes various obstacles, such as administrative inefficiencies, a high potential for recording and scheduling errors, and limited access to information for users. The gap between the expectation of a fast, accurate, and transparent ordering system and the reality of existing manual systems drives the need for innovative solutions. This research aims to design a web-based sports field booking information system through a systematic system analysis and design approach, as a direct response to these problems. The methodology used is a comprehensive literature study, including the identification of user and manager needs, the collection of scientific references, in-depth analysis of previous research, and the synthesis of findings as the basis for design. This approach ensures that the resulting design is not only innovative but also builds on existing best practices, thereby increasing the relevance and potential for successful implementation. The result of this research is a comprehensive information system design model, including essential features such as user registration and login, search and field selection, a real-time booking process integrated with online payment systems, automatic confirmation, booking history, and data management modules for managers. The design of the system is also supported by detailed design artifacts such as the Use Case Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Deployment Diagram, Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD), and an intuitive user interface (UI) design.
