Abstract

This research is motivated their smartphone trends in society as well as themore famous brand Samsung in the community. In addition to improvements in thebrand image of Samsung, Samsung also increased sales both at the global level as wellas in Indonesia, however, the increased sales of Samsung have not made the Samsungranked number one in the Top Brand Index from 2012 to 2014. The sample are 100person of smartphone Samsung Galaxy consumers. The results showed that the effect ofpartially or simultaneously between Perceived Value and Brand Image on Word ofMouth. Based on a two-stage regression results indicate that Word of Mouth is anintervening variable to variable Repurchase Intention in this study.

Abstract

Pondok Serrata Hotel survive in the midst competition by understand the wants and needs of consumers. Consumers have the factors in deciding which hotel that will be a choice, such as service quality and pricing. Existing problems  is the competition among hotels in Semarang are very tight caused Pondok Serrata Hotel’s room occupancy rate wasn’t able to achieve the target. Type of research is explanatory research. Collecting data using questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who are the dicided visitors to stay in. Selection respondents using purposive sampling with accidental method. Data analysis consisted of validity, reliability, crosstabulation, correlation, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple linear regression, t test, F test using SPSS for Windows 16.0. This study concludes, service quality of Serrata Hotel perceived good, the price was quite attractive and the consumer's decision to stay in was high. Service quality and price have positive, significant influence to the consumer’s decision to stay in either partially or simultaneously. Price gives bigger influence to the consumer’s decision to stay in rather than service quality. Suggestions can be submitted are need to regulate the strategies of parking area, increase the variety of restaurant menus, reevaluating pricing policy (discounts) so can attract consumers.

Abstract

Selection of mode of transportation as one of the steps in the planning of transportation plays an important role in deciding policy issues in relation to the type of transport modes and infrastructure available. Research titled Effectiveness Analysis of Business Strategies PO. Selera Masa in Competition aims to determine the effectiveness of the business strategy undertaken by PO. Selera Masa on the present and examine the effectiveness of business strategies undertaken by PO. Selera Masa in the future.This type of research with descriptive method of  research that  seeks  to said solving the problem based on the data in the field. The use of research methods  with  a SWOT analysis  (Strengths, Weaknesses,  Opportunities,  Threats  Analysis)  is used to assist management  in implementing the strategy  which is expected to reveal the strategic issues of intensive, in-depth and comprehensive  and formulate appropriate strategies in order to increase the accuracy of business strategies in PO. Selera Masa in the face of competition.

Abstract

In the city of Semarang, there are two great and long herbal  company. The successed of the two companies to survived until now because of supported by profesional employees,  in the creation of professional employee must be supported with a comfortable working environment, this research aimed to compare the better and comfortable working environment  feel of employees between njonja Meneer and Jamu Jago and see the effect of the environment work on the performance of each company. To know the problems of the working environment on the object of the study, the researchers took the observations. the type of research is exploratory with comparative studies. The sample of this research are 46 respondents in each companie, using non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling approach. The method used the quantitative analysis, consists of the average analysis, independent sample t test, multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS for windows version 20.0. This research concluded that the differences in work environment are the physical and non-physical between Njonja Meneer and Jamu Jago and the positive influence of physical work environment and non-physical in Njonja Meneer and Jamu Jago

Abstract

Changes in Indonesian lifestyles become modern required to act more quickly and dynamically, making people liked everything instant case, as well as the lifestyle of the people in choosing foods. One of fast-food restaurant in Indonesia is J.CO Donuts & Coffee. J.CO Donuts & Coffee Java Mall Semarang is one thriving restaurant in Semarang, but the sales turnover fluctuated during January to December 2014, accompanied by the rise and fall of the number of visitors.This study aims to determine the effect of emotional branding, customer value and brand image to customer loyalty through customer satisfaction J.CO Donuts & Coffee Java Mall Semarang. Type of research is used explanatory. The population in this study are customers J.CO Donuts & Coffee Java Mall Semarang, by using the theory of Cooper and Emory then taken 100 respondents to be sampled and the sampling technique used a combination of accidental sampling and purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Measurement scale used a Likert scale. The data analysis used validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, analysis of simple and multiple linear regression, determinant coefficient, significance test (t test and F test) and Sobel test with SPSS.The study concludes that emotional branding, customer value and brand image together (simultaneously) or partially affect the dependent variable of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Based on the results of Sobel test, the direct effect of emotional branding on customer loyalty greater than the indirect effect, the direct effect of customers value on customer loyalty greater than the indirect effect , nor the direct effect of brand image on customer loyalty greater than the indirect effect.Suggestions in this study that J.CO Donuts & Coffee Java Mall Semarang must add their promotional media, and J.CO should be able to make their website more interactive site to make it more attractive. Furthermore J.CO need to review the price is set to be more economical. And should J.CO start making a new product or a new formula that can deliver more benefits for consumers from consuming the products J.CO. And to increase customer loyalty, could be done by giving promotions or discounts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by competition between batik industries increasingly stringent. Kampung Laweyan Solo is one of small and medium sized enterprises that compete with others. Not only compete with domestic batik industries but also compete with international batik industries. To compete with others, batik industries should create superiority in their products. So that, SMEs in Kampung Laweyan Solo should have a competitive advantage to compete with others. Innovation can be used as one of the strategies to achieve competitive advantage. Therefore, product innovation must be improved to achieve competitive advantage by way of market oriented and entrepreneurial oriented.Type of research is explanatory research, whose aim is to examine the causal relationship between competitive advantage, market orientation, entrepreneurial orientation and product innovation. The population of about 124 owners of batik industries in Kampung Batik Laweyan, Solo. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling so that the number of sample are 50 people. The analysis technique used was quantitative analysis with SPSS (Statistical Package For Social Science) as a tool. The results showed that the effect of partially or simultaneously between market orientation, entrepreneurial orientation and product innovation  on competitive advantage. Based on the results of path analysis (path) shows that product innovation is the intervening variable.

Abstract

Batik, as one of Indonesian cultural heritage, is much produced by batik MSMEs in Semarang. All the time, batik sales have still done by conventional methods, such as direct selling in store, phone transaction, and local promotion, so the marketing process is not optimal because it does not reach the other cities. As the development of technology, it is expected that modern technology application can support sales in batik MSMEs. Sales service with internet media, which is called e-commerce, is one of the examples. E-commerce implementation opportunity in batik MSMEs is become the focus of analysis in this research. Some methods were used in collecting data, which are field visit, observation, interview, historical data analysis, and reference study, that would be analyzed by SWOT method. The results show that e-commerce contributes in batik sales. This online selling must be supported by excellent e-commerce system, starts from product order, payment, and shipment. E-commerce system become an information media which facilitates and makes people, as the future consumers, easy to get information and also purchase wherever and whenever. With these strength of e-commerce, it is adviced to batik MSMEs in Semarang in their use of e - commerce application performance for business development by diversifying the products sold in the online store until HR is able to create customer loyalty .Keyword : e-commerce, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.Abstraksi : Batik, sebagai salah satu kekayaan budaya Indonesia, banyak diproduksi oleh Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kota Semarang. Selama ini penjualan batik masih dilakukan secara konvensional, yaitu penjualan langsung di toko, transaksi melalui telepon, dan promosi di wilayah setempat, sehingga pemasaran menjadi tidak optimal karena tidak menjangkau kota-kota lainnya. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi, diharapkan berbagai penerapan teknologi dapat mendukung peningkatan penjualan pada UMKM batik. Salah satunya adalah dengan layanan penjualan melalui internet, yang disebut dengan e-commerce. Peluang penerapan e-commerce di UMKM batik menjadi fokus analisis pada penelitian ini.Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tinjauan lapangan, pengamatan, wawancara, pengumpulan dokumen, dan kepustakaan, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-commerce dapat memberikan kontribusi pada penjualan batik. Penjualan secara online ini seharusnya didukung dengan sistem e-commerce mulai dari pemesanan barang, pembayaran, hingga pengiriman barang. Sistem e-commerce dapat memaksimalkan berbagai bentuk penjualan, pemasaran, dan kualitas pelayanan. Sistem e-commerce juga dapat menjadi media informasi yang memudahkan masyarakat, sebagai calon konsumen, untuk memperoleh informasi serta melakukan pembelian di mana pun dan kapan pun. Dengan berbagai kelebihan dari sistem e-commerce, disarankan kepada UMKM batik untuk dapat memanfaatkannya kinerja aplikasi e-commerce dalam rangka pengembangan usaha dengan meragamkan produk yang dijual di toko online hingga SDM mampu menciptakan kesetiaan pelanggan.

Abstract

The competition with other pest control service offering similar service results in the decreasing number of customers at NUGROHO VIATAMA Pest Control Semarang. Within the past three years (2011-2014). This study is aimed at finding out the influence of price and service quality upon customer loyality mediated by customer satisfaction. A 90 customers are chosen using purposive sampling method. Data are obtained by using questionnaire, interview, observation and documentation which are then analyzed using path analysis. The study concludes that price and service quality have bigger direct impact upon customer loyalty than the indirect impact.Total impact of price upon customer loyalty is bigger that total impact of service quality upon loyality. Nugroho Viatama Pest Control, Semarang must continue to improve the quality of service that has been held today. In addition it must constantly strive to reduce the price in order to win the competition with other similar companies.

Abstract

Human resources is one factor that strategic and fundamental in the organization. The role of human resources will determine the success or failure of the organization in achieving its vision and mission that has been set. In order to determine the extent to which the presence, role and contribution of human resources in achieving organizational success, of course necessary performance measurement. Employee performance marketing can be seen from the achievement of sales targets, but there are employees who have not been able to realize a given target. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of organizational culture, career development and compensation to employee performance marketing division of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. This study uses census sampling sampling techniques against 38 employees of the marketing department of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire and interviews. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively through validity and reliability test. While data analysis is done through a simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression, t-test and F test. The results of the study showed that there are significant positive and significant correlation between organizational culture, career development and compensation to employee performance marketing division of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. Advice can be given is to further increase the focus on the variable compensation for the performance of employees is increasing.

Abstract

Work stress is a response from a person, both physically and mentally to a change in the environment that is felt disturbing and resulted in his being threatened. Every aspect at work can be a stressor. Stressful conditions can cause health problems or make existing problems become more severe. Stress is caused by a trigger or stimulus, called stressors, stressors can come from ourselves or from outside ourselvesThe sampling technique used is Probability Sampling and the sampling type used is Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Sample in this research is 62 respondents consisting of employees of PT. Manunggal Daya Salatiga Weaving Department AJL II. Data analysis using analysis quantitative with validity and reliability , simple regression analysis, double regression analysis, t test and f test with program spss 18.0 for windows.The results of research shows that there is a positive effect and significant between the workload to work stress amount 79,5%, the work environtment have positive effect and significant to work stress amount 68,5% and the controlling have positive effect and significant to work stress amount 71%Advice can be given in this research are the company must keep existing stressor so that employees rarely or never experience stress. Companies can increase the quantity of the workload but must pay attention to whether it becomes overloaded workload for employees. Besides keeping the stress caused by the work environment and poor controlling.
