Abstract

Resto Sambal Van Java is a middle class restaurant with the concept of Netherlands building and Javanese cuisine. The location of restaurant is very strategic, being in the crowded area of education in Tembalang territory, Semarang. This restaurant has had its own place in the hearts of loyal customers. However, the advantages offered by this restaurant is not optimal considered. There are some complaints still submitted by consumers, among others, the parking area facilities, hygiene, the size of meal, employees neatness and empathy, and other services are less than satisfactory for consumers. It will obviously be able to influence purchasing decisions. The aims of this study was to determine the influence of service quality, menu variation, and price on customers'decision to buy in Resto Van Java Sambal Tembalang, Semarang. The type of this research was explanatory research. Population in this research were the customers of Resto Sambal Van Java and the number of samples were 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study was using a non-probability sampling with accidental and purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used was cross tabulation, correlation, determination, simple linear regression, multiple, t test and F test with SPSS version 20. Based on the survey results revealed that the service quality, menu variation, and prices have a significant effect on customers'decisions to bought here, either partially or simultaneously. Independent variables that have the biggest influence on purchasing decisions was the variable of price. The advice that can be given is to do the rearrangement in the parking area or by giving extra money to the parker in order to work more presentable, providing training period sufficient to new employees, improve hygiene (The food, and the restroom), keep the neatness of employees, job evaluation on a regular basis, increase the menu variations with maintaining the mainstay menu, presenting food portions and flavor consistently, always maintain the availability and selectthe fresh materials, sale prices with certain conditions, as well as improving the overall service of other services that consumers find it appropriate to make a purchase decision, repurchase, and they can recommend this place to other people.

Abstract

 Every company always requires its employees to provide the best contribution in the form of performance enhancement. However, the require is not enough if it is not supported by a performance boosters that provided by the company and employees themselves. The boosters are laborer competence, compensation, and good workplace which all of them will increase work motivation. Therefore, PT Sai Apparel Industries as one of the players in national textile industries, can use the result of this research in order to determine its human resources. Furthermore, that is the best way for winning global textile market.The objective of this research is to measure the influence of competence, compensation, and workplace to employee performance through work motivation. The type of this research is explanatory research.  The population which has been used are entire of PT. Sai Apparel Industries’s employees wihich consisted of 2630 people and its sample amounts 96 respondents which is determined by using slovin formula. The sampling technique which has been used is Purposive Non-probality Sampling also known as the type of collecting sample with particular cases. The tata accumulation used interview technique that is supporeted by questionaire instruments with likert scale. The data was analyzed by using the coefficient of determination test, simple and multiple regression analysis, significance test, and path analysis, as well as trimming process with operating SPSS 20.0 computer software.Based on the results, simultaneously competencies, compensation, and workplace significantly influence employees performance with F-count> F-table (52.087> 2.703). Then in the path analysis, there is the influence of mediation / intervening of work motivation in between competence and compensation to employee performance. However, there is no mediation/intervening influence in relationship between wrokplace to employee performance so that resulted in the trimming process. In a conclusion words, when the employee’s competence, amounts of compensation, and a conducive workplace are improved at high level, then the performance of employees would be better with increasing work motivation.

Abstract

Increased tourism industry make tourist visits in some areas is increasing, its specialty in Central of Java. One of them Attractions is Goa Kreo in Semarang that have unique tourism potential which is inhabited by macaque monkeys. However, the number of tourists from Q1 2014 to Q1 2015 occurred volatile and tend to decline. While the results of pre-research, in getting the dissatisfaction of visitors to the tourism product, in addition to the ideals / image imagined visitors, slightly different from those in Goa Keo. It is fear of the existence of negative information spread among tourists.               This study aims to determine the influence of Tourism Products, Destination Image and Word of Mouth to the Decision to Visit Attractions Goa Kreo. This type of research is explanatory research, in which the data collection techniques used is by means of questionnaire, the selected sample of 100 people with accidental sampling and purposive sampling. Respondents are visitor attractions Goa Kreo who've been to Goa Kreo and Goa Kreo find out information from others.               The results showed that the Tourism Product and significant effect on Decision to Visit viewed by contributing 18.1% and the rest is explained by other factors. Destination Image influential and significant to the Decision to Visit viewed by contributing 39.1% and the rest is explained by other factors. Word of Mouth influential and significant to the Decision to Visit viewed by contributing 42.6% and the rest is explained by other factors. While, simultaneously Travel Products, Destination Image and Word of Mouth influential and significant to the Decision to Visit. That is, the better the product Tourism, Destination Image and Word of Mouth, make higher the Decision to Visit on Goa Kreo. Additionally Word of Mouth has the most dominant influence to Decision to Visit with regression coefficient of 0.438. The results obtained by analyzing primary data using validity, reliability test, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, and a significance test (t test and F) with SPSS 20.0.               Based on this, the researchers suggested that managers Attractions Goa Kreo further enhance the tourism product, which adds to signpost the way to Goa Kreo, improving tourist attractions, improved facilities and more active in offering a guide to visitors, as well as clarify the job description of employees, thus increasing tourists visit Goa Kreo.

Abstract

Human resources is one factor that is strategic and fundamental in the organization. The role of human resources will determine the success or failure of the organization in achieving its vision and mission that has been set. In order to determine the extent to which the presence, role and contribution of human resources in achieving organizational success, of course necessary performance measurement. Organizational culture and work discipline have influence in improving the performance of employees of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (DAOP IV) Semarang. Good organizational culture will enhance good performance. This study aims to determine the influence of organizational culture and work discipline on employee performance. This study uses census sampling technique sampling of 58 employees of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (DAOP IV) Semarang. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire and interviews with technical research instruments using a questionnaire with Likert scale. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively through validity and reliability test. While the test data analysis, correlation analysis, coefficient determination test, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression, t-test and F test with SPSS 20.0.Statistical results known that organizational culture accounted for 22.3% and discipline accounted for 18.2% have a positive influence on employee performance.  Based on the coefficient of determination in jointly influence organizational culture and work discipline against the employee's performance of 32.5%, value F count (13.233) > F table (3.16) with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 significance level it is known that '' there is the influence of organizational culture, and work discipline on the performance of employees ". Based on this research can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between organizational culture and work discipline on the performance of employees of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (DAOP IV) Semarang. Advice can be given is to further increase focus on organizational culture variables and disciplined work well for the performance of employees is increasing and becoming good also.

Abstract

This modern age, many people are busy with their lives. They are willing to work to night so not had of looking at other things such as vehicles. Community activities that tend to be practical so that it becomes an opportunity for service providers to offer their services car wash to wash the vehicle. One company car wash in Semarang, namely Star Clean car wash is one company that is growing, but the number customer experience fluctuations during the year 2010-2013 along with some of the targets were not achieved targets.This study aims to determine the effect on the quality of their service through word of mouth and customer satisfaction Star confidence Clean car wash Semarang. This type of research is explanatory. The population in this study is the Star Clean car wash customers in Semarang, using the theory Slovin then taken 100 respondents to be sampled and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using questionnaires, interviews and literature method. Measurement scale using a Likert scale. In the data analysis using validity, reliability test, correlation coefficient, analysis of simple and multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, significance test (t test and F) and Sobel test with SPSS.The study concluded that the quality of service, reliability and customer satisfaction together (simultaneously) or partially affect the variable word of mouth. Based on the test results Sobel, a direct influence on the quality of service word of mouth is greater than its indirect influence through a trust or through customer satisfaction.Suggestions in this research that Star Clean car wash Semarang should increase speed and always menontrol network of free hotspots and to boost consumer confidence should always control the work performed by the employee. As well as consumer satisfied that leaders should try to improve the ability of employees in ethical.

Abstract

Labor or human resources have an important role in the company in order to achieve success.Therefore, companies must consider the factors that may affect the performance of employees, such ascompensation and working environment. Achievement of employee performance Patra Jasa Jakarta said notoptimal in which the employee's performance increased in 2012 but decreased performance in 2013. The aim ofthis study was to determine how the compensation, working conditions, and the performance of employees inPatra Jasa Jakarta, as well as to determine the effect of compensation and work environment either partially orsimultaneously on the performance of employees in Patra Jasa Jakarta. This type of research is "explanatoryresearch". The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling with saturated sampling method that usesall members of the population that all employees (non-led) 120 people. In proving the hypothesis test was usedcorrelation analysis, coefficient determination test, regression test (simple and multiple), and a significance test(t test and F test) with SPSS 16.0. The survey results revealed that the variable compensation (X1) and theWorking Environment variable (X2) partially and simultaneously positive and significant impact on employeeperformance variable (Y). Partially and simultaneously, variable compensation (X1) provide a strongerinfluence on employee performance variable (Y) than the Working Environment variable (X2). Suggestions canbe submitted is the company can evaluate and improve the elements that can affect the performance ofemployees, such as compensation and working environment where opportunities are promoted. and conditionsof hygiene and neatness in the space / workplace still considered good by the employees. The company can alsoprovide regular training and guiding employees so that the level of errors made in the work can be minimizedas possible.

Abstract

 The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of transformational leadership, corporate culture and compensation on the performance of the employees of PDAM Tirta Dharma Salatiga.This type of research is explanatory research. The population in this study is the employees of PDAM Tirta Dharma Salatiga with the total of 138 employees which is sampled 58 employees. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and literature study. It uses Likert Scale for the measurement scale. For the method, it uses proportionate random sampling. For analyzing data, it uses simple linear regression and multiple linear regression to test the hypothesis using the t test and F test in SPSS 18.0.            The results show that the transformational leadership has a positive influence on employee performance. Corporate culture on employee performance affect positive. Compensation to employee performance have positive effect. Together variable transformational leadership, corporate culture and compensation have positive influence on employee performance.            The conclusion is that the transformational leadership, corporate culture, and compensation which are applied have been good and satisfactory. This research suggestions are the leaders should be more active in praising to the all subordinates every, employee should pay more respect of the co-workers opinions, and giving better and various compensation.

Abstract

IM3 is a provider that targeting the youth market. With a well-known fare cheap, IM3 should be able to maintain and even increase the benefits of its products. However, the advantages offered by IM3 seem not optimal. Many complaints submitted by customers to the company through social media, are about the signal strength is week, the difficulty of accessing the data, the IM3 employees that are not friendly enough, the active period of the card which is not long, and so forth. So that these things will obviously affect customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to determine the promotion effect of product quality and brand image to customer satisfaction in using Indosat IM3. This type of research is explanatory research. The population in this research is IM3 Community in Undip and Unnes in the number of samples taken is 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study using non probability sampling with with purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used is cross tabulation, correlation, determination, simple linear regression, multiple, t test and F test with SPSS version 16.Based on the survey results revealed that the promotion, quality product and brand image have positive and significant impact to customer satisfaction, either partially or simultaneously. Independent variable that has the greatest influence on customer satisfaction is a variable of brand image.The advice that can be given is to give a briefing to the IM3 employees in order to be friendly towards the customers, make the active period of the card longer, extend the network signal so that the customers can access data quickly and they can recommend IM3 to people around them.

Abstract

The development of tourism is increasing and cause changes in the behavior of visitors in tourist activities. Visitors today is not only traveled because of the desire but traveled out of necessity. This study specifically addresses the visitors at Sam Poo Kong temple.This study aims to determine the effect of the Decision Characteristics Attractions Been visitors Sam Poo Kong temple with Visitor Profile as a moderating variable. Type of explanatory research, data collection techniques are interviews with the tool questionnaire, sampling technique accidental sampling and purposive sampling with a sample size of 100. The data were analyzed through crosstab, the correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple linear regression, regression moderation, and t test. The data were analyzed quantitatively using the tool SPSS and qualitative.The results showed that the decision to visit categorization is quite high. Then the characteristics of the attractions categorization is high enough, the characteristics of attraction has a high influence on the decision to visit (46.8 percent) as well as the significant and positive impact on the decision to visit (0.574). The visitor profile is a potential moderating variable by variable regression coefficient of Education Decree Been insignificant and the regression coefficients to the Decision Interact Been insignificant.In conclusion the characteristics of the higher attractions, the higher the decision to visit and visitor profile has the potential to be a moderating variable. Sam Poo Kong temple suggested further improve service, regular attractions, the diversity of attractions, as well as speed of response personnel in responding to problems that occur. Besides Sam Poo Kong temple does not need to consider the profile of visitors in making policy decisions about improving the visit but should focus more on improving the characteristics of attraction.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the development of smartphones, where competition between companies is getting tougher smartphone. Apple is a company engaged in the field of hardware and software, including hardware made by Apple is the Iphone. Apple is proving to be one of the big companies, it is derived from Apple's global sales reached 150 million units, but in Indonesia according to TBI in 2011 through 2013 the percentage is only able to control less than 5%, as well as on sales in Semarang according Sinarmas Mobile for 4 months experienced a low point only the highest selling 12 units and 18 units. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image and product quality to eputusan purchase iPhone. This type of research is explanatory research, with data collection through a questionnaire, literature study and interviews. The sampling technique using census techniques using research instrument questionnaire. The sample in this study amounted to 58 respondents who are iPhone users on S1 students FISIP Diponegoro University. This study uses linear regression analysis techniques and the significance test is used to prove the hypothesis using SPSS for windows version 20.0. The results showed that the brand image (X1), and product quality (X2), both jointly and individually a positive influence on purchase decisions dependent variable (Y). Simultaneously the brand image, product quality, has an influence on purchasing decisions by 40.7% according to multiple regression. Suggestions from this study is that Apple needs to improve the quality of products on the batteries to meet the needs of consumers and strengthen the brand image on promotional products.
