Abstract

Characteristics of the entrepreneurial is a very important, entrepreneurial characteristics were action, abilities and  otherspesific character that owned by someone who related to entrepreneurial activity. The purpose of this study were to know characteristics of the entrepreneurial business owners and how characteristics of the entrepreneurship role as a business growth factor in MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi Semarang. In this research using qualitative descriptive type.The technique of taking resources is purposive sampling; techniques of data collection is done by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation; data analysis techniques usingcredibility test data by triangulation, transferability test, and confirmability test.The results of this study showed that in the MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi, entrepreneurial characteristics of business owners is a determining factor in the business growth, which is seen from five aspects such as leadership, task orientation and results, confidence, risk-taking and future orientation that have been already good, Advice for MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi which must keep product quality, make innovation so the consumers are not bored and adding the number of employees at each branch.

Abstract

AbstractEvery company needs the resources that have important influence to achieve success. Success in achieving the organization's goals came from the behavior of its own employees therefore the employees that make up the structure of the organization and take advantage of technology. Performance of the employee is influenced by several factors such as motivation, competence and Working Environment. Poor performance of the employee caused by low motivation, lack of competence and a poor working environment at Patra Jasa Semarang Convention Hotel.This research uses explanatory type approach, against 60 respondents with sampling purposive technique. Data collection techniques in this study using the technique of collecting data through questionnaires and interviews. The analysis technique used is quantitative. Quantitative analysis using validity test, reliability test, cross tabulation, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression analysis, as well as the significance test (t test and F test) with the help of SPSS version 16.0 for Windows.The results of statistical analysis known partial influence between motivation on performance of the employee by 27.4%. Then competence to performance of the employee by 17.8%. while for the working environment on the performance of the employee by 35%. Simultaneous influence of the influence of motivation, competence and working environment on the performance of the employee is 34.2%, while 65.8% are influenced by other factors.Recommendations for improving the performance of employees to the company to increase its attention to the work motivation, competence and working environment which in turn will ultimately increase performance of the employee.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the increasing number of beauty clinics which offer various kinds of products and treatments to meet the needs of community in the field of beauty. Larissa Aesthetic Center Semarang is one of the beauty clinic that seeks to meet the needs of consumers in the field of beauty care with the concept using natural ingredients. Customer visits in Larissa Aesthetic Center Semarang each year has not reached the target. It indicates a problem with Larissa’s customer loyalty.The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of product quality and service quality toward customer loyalty through customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The type of this research is explanatory research. The population is all of Larissa Aesthetic Center Semarang customers. While the sample of this study are 100 customers. Data collection is using a questionnaire with purposive sampling. The analytical method used in this study is two-stage regression analysis using the software SPSS for Windows version 17.0, where the validity test, reliability test, coefficient of correlationt, simple and multiple regression, the determination coefficient, significance test (t test and F test) are done first. Based on two-stage regression analysis results show that variable product quality (X1) and service quality (X2), whether partially or simultaneously have a positive and significant toward customer satisfaction (Z). Partially, variable customer satisfaction (Z) also has a positive and significant toward customer loyalty (Y). Based on the research results, the company is expected to improving customer satisfaction and customer loyalty by maintain the quality of products and quality of services provided. Larissa had to control all the composition of the ingredients used in the manufacture of each product. In addition, Larissa should hold routine evaluation for employees in providing treatment to make employees more skilled in providing outstanding service. It is also a good idea that Larissa can add the variety of products and treatment in order to increase the completeness type of beauty treatment in Larissa.

Abstract

This research was based on rapid automotive sector business development, especially automobile. Specifically, this research was discuss about automobile buying of Toyota Avanza brand at PT Nasmoco Majapahit Semarang during 2011 - 2014 keep have sale descending and it's sale target. If that case wasn't improve and solve, probably will presence problem for PT. Nasmoco Majapahit Semarang next.Aim of this research was to found product quality, brand image and price concerning automobile buying decision of Toyota Avanza Semarang. This research type was explanatory, with data collection technique by questionaire and interview. Sampling collection technique by non probability sampling method was using purposive sampling. The sample was about 100 persons as consumers who use and bought Toyota Avanza automobile on PT Nasmoco Majapahit Semarang. This research was using qualitative and quantitative analisys techniques. Quantitative analysis  was using validity, correlation, both simple and double linear regression analysis, determination coefficient, signification test ( t and f test), using SPSS tools.The results showed that the quality of the product (X1) , brand image (X2) and price (X3) simultaneously influence consumer purchasing decisions ( Y ) . Based on the results of a two-stage regression , variables that have the most dominant effect is the brand image (X1) .Conclusion obtained was between product quality and price was have significant influence concerning buying decision. Suggestion give was automobile of Toyota Avanza brand at least take inovation quickly and accordance with consumer desirabilities and for PT Nasmoco Majapahit Semarang was often implemented promotion by giving quite big discount for it's product.

Abstract

Public awareness of the importance of insurance countinues to rise, which is evident from the increasing number of people insured by 92,5% in 2013. It becomes a major opportunity for the insurance company, either the conventional insurance or Islamic insurance. In Indonesia, Islamic insurances have a good opportunity because the majority Moslem in Indonesia. But, the lack of differentiation is one the biggest reasons why Insurance lagged behind terms of penetration, distribution development, and product. Asuransi Takaful Keluarga is a pure Islamic insurance that was founded in 1994. This company is enganged in life insurance and some types of products are Asuransi Takaful Dana Pendidikan, Takaful Linksalam Alia, Takaful Linksalam Ahsan, Takaful Linksalam Istiqomah, and Takaful Linksalam Ahsan. While it has been long standing, a decline in customers from 2009 through 2013 for customers of Asuransi Takaful Dana Pendidikan in Representative Office Kebumen. The purpose of the research is to determine the effects of brand equity, personal selling, and price of premium to customers satisfaction of Asuransi Takaful Dana Pendidikan at Asuransi Takaful Keluarga Representatif Office Kebumen. The type of the research is explanatory research. The sample in this research were 97 respondents who are customers of Asuransi Takaful Dana Pendidikan. Data was collected by using interview technique, while the research instruments using a questionare. The results were analyzed using SPSS software assistance. The results of the research show that brand equity, personal selling, and price of premium have positive and significant effects on customers satisfaction amounted to 69,6%. Variable with the biggest effects to customers satisfaction is price of premium with the Beta value on multiple linear regression was 0,600. Advices can be given are strengthen brand equity though the promotion, improving personal selling through agents friendliness and patience in front of customers, and maintain a price of premy. Customers satisfaction can be improved by repair the service provided.

Abstract

Febrisa.pm@gmail.comAbstrack: Retail’s consumers who tend to do an impulse buying. One of the retail in Semarang is Robinson. Basedon the preliminary study, there are some problems in there. The problems are the bad quality of the products, thebad display of the products, and consumers have less hedonic shopping motives. Total sales revenue whichdecreased in 2014. This research aims to determine the effect of discount, merchandising, and hedonic shoppingmotives towards impulse buying of the costumer of Robinson. Data collection techniques used in this research waspurposive sampling with 100 consumers as data samples. The data analysis was quantitative analysis used SPSSprogram version of 17. The analysis methode used were correlation test, determination, simple linear regression,multiple linear regression, T-test and F-test. The results of the analysis showed that there is positive effect andsignificant between discount, merchandising, and hedonic shopping motives towards impulse buying of the costumerof Robinson either partially or simultaneously. The variable discount is the greatest effect on impulse buying of thecostumer of Robinson than the merchandising and hedonic shopping motives. Discount can be enhanced by productchecking ,controlling, and improving product quality. Merchandising can be improved by adapting consumersneeds. Moreover, hedonic shopping motives can be improved by managing display shelf and doing some additionalfacilities.

Abstract

AbstractEmployee productivity is one measure that is often used to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. An organization or company can’t develop if the productivity of employees does not increase especially with the high level of competition that exists in the business world. Organizational culture, leadership and commitment have an influence in increasing employee productivity. Therefore, three things need to be considered in order to increase productivity of employees. PT. Astra International Tbk Daihatsu Majapahit Semarang Branch is one private enterprise which engaged in the sale and repair of Daihatsu brand car. This type of research is explanatory research. The population in this study are the employee of PT Astra International Tbk Daihatsu Majapahit Semarang Branch. Sample calculation using probability sampling technique with respondents as many as 65 people. Data collection techniques in this research using interview techniques, questionnaire and literature study. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively by using analytical tools in the form of the cross table, validity, reliability, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing by t test and F test.            The conclusion from this study is that there are influence between organizational culture, leadership and a commitment on work productivity at PT Astra International Tbk-Dihatsu, Majapahit Semarang Branch. The organizational culture was 38%, the leadership was 44.9%, and the commitment was 30.1%. Mutual influence the organizational culture, leadership and a commitment by 47.7%, while 52.3% is influenced by other factors. Advice: the company need to increase productivity of employees through increased cultural organizations by instilling cultural values, raise the skills of employees of one of them through training, the leader must be able to motivate the group to discuss the issue before making a decision that reflects the mutual consent of all members of the group and can increase the sense of responsibility as an employee commitment to the company.

Abstract

Interviews with batik Lasem owners claim that many outlet their turnover tends to decline, many outlets were closed there is also that they formerly had two or three outlets but now only one outlet that still survive. Some are trying to increase their outlets by developing batik products they sell. Selection of the location of the outlets also they notice and terms of sale are many who try to follow the trends in society that is a way to sell their products in onlineshop. They are aware to follow the trend and understand consumer desires. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of product differentiation, promotion and location on purchasing decisions batik Lasem in District Lasem of Rembang Regency. This type of research is explanatory research with data collection using questionnaires and literature. This study used a sample of 100 consumers were determined by nonprobability sampling with incidental sampling techniques. Analysis of the data used in this study was to test the validity and reliability, the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, t-test, f-test and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that; 1) product differentiation has significant positive influence on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0,000), 2) the promotion has positive and significant impact on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0.000), 3) location has positive and significant impact on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0,000), 4) product differentiation, promotion, and location has significant effect on purchase decisions of batik Lasem (0,000). Conclusion This study shows that the more varied batik Lasem products are offered, more interesting and frequent promotions, as well as more affordable and more strategic location of outlets selling batik Lasem the easier access of consumers to reach out and buy the batik Lasem products. Therefore, companies must be able to maintain and improve the quality of product differentiation, enhance the promotion, and choose the location of sales outlets batik Lasem strategically so that consumers are not difficult to find and buy products batik Lasem.

Abstract

PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia is a company engaged in the field of financial services the largest and has the most extensive network in Indonesia. PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia has also been successfully serving the financial needs of the Indonesian people’s for 119 years. PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk in providing services to their customers should be as optimal as possible so that they are satisfied. But in reality there is no indication of customer dissatisfaction over the quality of services provided by BRI Unit Ngesrep Semarang.The purpose of the research was to determine the extent to which the level of customer satisfaction BRI Unit Ngesrep Semarang on the quality of services provided to customers. The type of this research is descriptive analytical. The sample in this research were 98 respondents who are customers of savings simpedes at PT. BRI (Persero) Tbk Unit Ngesrep Semarang. The research data was collected using interview techniques, while the research instrument using a questionnaire. Data analysis using Importance and Performance Analysis.            Based on the Importance and Performance Analysis, then be conclusion that the average total for the dimension of quality of service is 86,27 % include in the category are satisfied.Advice can be given for the company is to maximize the suggestion box, improving the condition of the parking BRI Unit Ngesrep Semarang, increase comfort lounge area and increase the speed of the queuing system.

Abstract

One of the parameters that affect the performance of employees is the motivation and discipline of work, because it is instrumental in improving a work effectiveness. A company can not develop if the productivity of employees also increased in view of the increasing levels of competition in the business world. Motivation and discipline have an influence in increasing produktiitas employees. Because it is, motivation and discipline is an important concern by the company to improve productivity at PT. Kimia Farma Plant. Where the company is engaged in the manufacture of the pharmaceutical industry to produce oil and cosmetics.               This research uses explanatory research approach to 48 respondents with sampling techniques Probability Sampling. Sampling techniques (sampling techniques) that provide equal opportunity for each element of the population to be elected as members of the sample. Data collection techniques in this research using interview techniques, questionnaire and literature study. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively by using analytical tools in the form of the cross table, validity, reliability, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing with T test and F test               The conclusion from this study is that there is influence between motivation and discipline to work productivity in PT. Kimia Farma Plant Semarang. Influence motivation towards productivity by 58.3%, the effect on the productivity of work disipin of 62.5%. Saran, the company needs to improve the productivity by increasing motivation through direct observation at regular intervals employees and improve discipline by improving the application and perform a closer scrutiny of the violations. But in this case the management should give consideration greater motivation, considering the influence of motivation on productivity is lower than disciplinary influence on productivity.
