Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing Integrated Information Systems, such as the Community Health Center Management Information System (SIMPUS) and the Health Information System (SIK), in improving public health data reporting in healthcare facilities, particularly community health centers. The method used was a literature review of various studies published between 2020 and 2025. The results of the review indicate that implementing health information systems has been proven to accelerate service processes, improve data accuracy, and facilitate reporting to relevant agencies. However, implementation effectiveness is still influenced by human resources, technological infrastructure, internet network stability, and support from regional management and policies. Frequent obstacles include lack of operator training, technical system disruptions, and differences in readiness between regions. Therefore, increasing human resource capacity, strengthening infrastructure, and continuous system integration are key to achieving effective, accurate, and sustainable public health data reporting.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction on employee loyalty in hospitals through a qualitative literature review. In the context of healthcare, job satisfaction is a crucial factor determining employee loyalty and performance. The study reviews national studies published between 2020 and 2025, focusing on factors such as compensation, leadership style, work motivation, organizational culture, and career development. The results indicate that job satisfaction is positively and significantly related to employee loyalty. Factors such as compensation, leadership style, motivation, organizational culture, and career development opportunities have been shown to influence job satisfaction levels, which ultimately impact employee loyalty to the hospital. Furthermore, transformational leadership and work motivation act as supporting factors that strengthen the relationship between satisfaction and loyalty. Therefore, increasing job satisfaction through inspirational leadership strategies, fair reward systems, and sustainable career development can be a strategic step in building employee loyalty and improving overall hospital organizational performance.

Abstract

Access to equitable health services in Indonesia is supported by a tiered referral system within the National Health Insurance (JKN) program, which regulates service continuity between primary and advanced healthcare facilities. Although this system has expanded service access and reduced financial barriers, its implementation remains challenged by infrastructure limitations, unequal distribution of health workers, weak inter-facility coordination, and low public understanding of referral procedures. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of the multi-level referral system policy within the JKN framework in Indonesian health service facilities. A structured literature review was conducted using the Google Scholar database. Articles published between 2020 and 2025 were screened and selected using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total of six eligible studies were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns related to implementation effectiveness, resource availability, coordination mechanisms, and public understanding. The results show that the JKN program has improved access to healthcare services and reduced financial barriers; however, the referral system has not functioned optimally due to disparities in infrastructure, limited human resource capacity, weak coordination between service levels, and insufficient program socialization. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative synthesis of structural, organizational, and behavioral dimensions in evaluating referral system performance. This study provides evidence-based insights to support policy strengthening aimed at improving efficiency, equity, and sustainability of health services and accelerating the achievement of universal health coverage in Indonesia.

Abstract

Hospital healthcare plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of national health systems. The implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) has become a strategic approach to improving service consistency, patient safety, and organizational performance. Hospital accreditation serves as an external evaluation mechanism that promotes compliance with established standards and continuous quality improvement. This study employed a qualitative descriptive literature review approach to examine the relationship between accreditation standards, QMS implementation, service quality, and patient satisfaction. A total of 48 articles were initially identified from relevant databases. After duplicate removal and title–abstract screening, 27 articles remained. Following full-text assessment based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 5 articles were finally selected for analysis. The findings indicate that accreditation strengthens structured procedures, documentation systems, patient safety culture, and internal monitoring processes. Accredited hospitals tend to demonstrate better procedural compliance and service delivery. Furthermore, service quality dimensions—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles—are strongly associated with patient satisfaction. The novelty of this study lies in integrating accreditation standards, QMS implementation, service quality, and patient satisfaction into one analytical framework. In conclusion, integrating accreditation standards with continuous quality improvement and patient-centered strategies is essential to achieving sustainable service quality and higher patient satisfaction in hospitals.

Abstract

Indonesia’s National Health Insurance (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional/ JKN) has become a major policy instrument in expanding healthcare access and supporting the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of JKN in improving healthcare access and service quality through a literature review approach. Articles published between 2020–2025 were identified from relevant academic sources. A total of 48 articles were initially identified. After duplicate removal and title–abstract screening, 27 articles remained. Following full-text assessment based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 5 articles were finally selected for analysis. The findings indicate that JKN has significantly increased healthcare utilization, reduced financial barriers, and accelerated Indonesia’s progress toward UHC. However, disparities in healthcare utilization, regional access, and service quality remain important challenges. Strategic purchasing reforms through Performance-Based Capitation (KBK) have contributed to improving provider performance, while digital transformation through Mobile JKN has enhanced administrative efficiency and user satisfaction. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of these reforms depends on infrastructure readiness, human resource capacity, and monitoring systems. The novelty of this study lies in presenting an integrated perspective linking healthcare access, quality of care, strategic purchasing, and digital transformation in evaluating JKN effectiveness. In conclusion, JKN has demonstrated measurable progress in expanding access, but strengthening financing sustainability, provider capacity, monitoring systems, and equitable digital innovation remains essential to ensure that broader access consistently leads to high-quality health outcomes.

Abstract

Leadership and governance are increasingly recognized as key determinants of performance in healthcare organizations. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and governance on healthcare organizational performance through a literature review of recent empirical studies published between 2021 and 2025. A systematic search was conducted across major scientific databases, and six relevant articles meeting the inclusion criteria were selected for analysis. The findings indicate that transformational and authentic leadership styles positively influence service quality, team effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and strategic hospital performance. In addition, governance—particularly clinical governance and good hospital governance—strengthens accountability, transparency, compliance, and risk management systems, contributing to improved patient safety and managerial effectiveness. The review also reveals that leadership and governance function synergistically: leadership drives cultural and strategic change, while governance provides structural mechanisms to sustain performance improvement. However, empirical evidence remains fragmented regarding causal pathways and mediating factors. Overall, integrating strong leadership capacity with robust governance frameworks is essential to enhance and sustain healthcare organizational performance.
