Abstract

Islamic banks have been known as banks that are resistant to global The crisis that hit Indonesia a few years ago. Some Islamic bank performance can be obtained from its profitability. There are several factors that increase the profitability of Islamic banks and used in this study including Loans to Total Assets Ratio (LOANTA), Total Liabilities to Total Aseets Ratio (L/TA), Asset Utilization (AU), Income Expense Ratio (IER), Total Equity to Total Assets (Eq/TA), Total Equity to Total Liabilities (Eq/L) and Cost to Income Ratio (CIR). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Loans to Total Assets Ratio (LOANTA), Total Liabilities to Total Aseets Ratio (L/TA), Asset Utilization (AU), Income Expense Ratio (IER), Total Equity to Total Assets (Eq/TA), Total Equity to Total Liabilities (Eq/L) and Cost to Income Ratio (CIR) toward Profitability in Islamic Banks in Indonesia wich were proxied Return on Assets (ROA). The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling technique with the criteria of Islamic Banks who publish quarterly financial reports periodically during 2008 – 2018. The data used in this study was obtained from annual reports on the website of Islamic Banks with a sample of elevan Islamic Banks. Methods of data analysis in this study with Multiple Regression Analysis, which previously performed classical assumption test. Hypothesis testing using Fstatistic test, t-statistical test and the determination of coefficients Adjusted 𝑅 2 with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study indicate that Loans to Total Assets Ratio (LOANTA) and Income Expense Ratio (IER) have a positive and significant effect on ROA. Total Equity to Total liabilities (Eq/L) and Cost to Income Ratio (CIR) have a positive and no significant effect on ROA. Total Liabilities to Total Aseets Ratio (L/TA) and Total Equity to Total Assets (Eq/TA) has a negative and significant effect on ROA. Asset Utilization (AU) has a negative and no significant effect on ROA.

Abstract

Communication tool is one of the needs that is not less important in human life. One type of communication tool that is often used at this time is a smartphone. As a form of realizing brand loyalty, there are several factors that influence customer loyalty to a particular brand, such as perceived quality, perceived value, brand identification, and lifestyle congruence related to these products. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of perceived quality, perceived value, brand identification, and lifestyle congruence on brand loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research was conducted for residents residing in Semarang. The number of samples in this study were 152 respondents with the criteria being using an iPhone or having used an iPhone before. The data collection method used in this study is through a questionnaire. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as an analytical tool. The results of this study indicate that perceived quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, perceived value has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, brand identification has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and lifestyle congruence has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, it is known that customer satisfaction is proven to mediate the relationship between perceived quality, perceived value, brand identification, and lifestyle congruence on brand loyalty.

Abstract

The increase of health problems and people’s need to have a better quality of life has triggered a big opportunity for companies to start entering the business of health service providers and products, one of which is a pharmacy. The rapid growth of the pharmacy business raises competition between companies that need to be anticipated. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of service quality, customer perceived value, and corporate image on customer satisfaction and its impact on customer loyalty. The number of samples used were 160 respondents selected by purposive sampling technique through a questionnaire with Structural Equation Model (SEM) AMOS 24. The results showed that service quality, customer perceived value, and corporate image have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study was conducted to test the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Financing (NPF), Financing to Deposite Ratio (FDR) and Operating Expenses on Operating Income (BOPO) on Return on Assets (ROA). Data obtained from OJK publications for the period 2016-2019. Obtained 4 Sharia Banks used in this research. The analysis techniques used were multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing using tstatistics to test the coefficients of each variable and f-statis to test variable bettors together with a significance level of 5% and also perform classic assumption tests i.e. normality tests, heterocedastisity tests and multicolinearity tests. The results showed that CAR and BOPO are insignificant with significant levels above 5%, NPF is significantly negative with significant levels below 5% and positive FDR is not significant with significant levels above 5%. An F value of 0.022 indicates simultaneously having a significant influence on ROA.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between dividend policy and stock price volatility. This research is using stock price volatility as a dependent variable. As a proxy of dividend policy, dividend payout ratio and dividend yield are used as a independent variable. Then, firm size and earning volatility are added as a control variable. The population of this reseacrh is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and has never been delisted during the period 2014 – 2019. By purposive sampling method, 42 manufacturing companies were obtained as the sample of this research. The analytical method used in this reseacrh is multiple regression analysis. The result of this research indicate that dividend yield has a negative and significant effect on stock price volatility. Meanwhile, dividend payout ratio has insignificant effect on stock price volatility of manufacturing companies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Capital structure is an important factor in a company because it is directly related to the continuity of the company's life. There are several factors that can affect the capital structure. This study aims to examine the influence of several factors, namely: liquidity, business risk, asset structure, profitability, and company size, on capital structure, which will be proxied by the Long-term Debt to Equity Ratio (LTDER), which is carried out in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2014 to 2018.  This study uses trade-off theory and pecking-order theory as a reference basis. The sample of this research is 70 companies which is using purposive sampling method as the basis for sampling. The data collected through financial reports and Bloomberg. This research hypothesis testing using multiple linear regressions accompanied by conducting classic assumptions test on the data to be used. The analysis tool used in this study is by the SPSS 25 program.The findings of this study indicate that liquidity and profitability have a negative and significant effect on capital structure. The variables of asset structure and company size show a significant and positive effect. Meanwhile, the business risk variable does not significantly affect in this study.

Abstract

The aim of doing this study is to analyze how the implementation of quality control at PT. Golden Flower Ungaran in an effort to control the level of product damage. The data was collected by interviewing, observing, and documenting, followed by processing it using the Statistical Quality Control method. includes filling in the examination sheet, making histograms, making Pareto diagrams, making and calculating control charts, making causal diagrams. The results of this study indicate that the types of damage that occur in garment production are caused by Broken stitch, Skipped stitches, Obras oblique / untidy, Ironing and Dirty. From the cause-and-effect diagram, it can be seen that the factors that cause product damage are derived from material factors, machines, methods and employees. The use of the p control chart shows that the product quality control process is still outside the control limit because there are still four points that are outside the upper control limit and the lower control limit, thus indicating that the quality control process has not been carried out properly.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of compensation on teacher performance through work motivation as an intervening variable on the primary schools Temanggung regency area. This study uses the independent variable that is compensation, the intervening variable that is work motivation, and the dependent variable that is teacher performance. The sample in the study was elementary school teachers in the Temanggung Regency which consisted of 20 districts. The sampling technique was conducted by purposive sampling method. Collecting data was conducted by a questionnaire distributed directly to 100 elemtary school teachers. The data analysis technique used in this study is Partial Least Square with SmartPLS 3.2.9 apllication to determine the path coefficient, and the direct or indirect effect of independent variable on dependent variable. The result of this reseach showed that compensation had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance and work motivation. Work motivation had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. In addition, work motivation variables can mediate an indirect relationship between compensation on teacher performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variables of Transformational Leadership, Work Motivation, and Organizational Commitment on improving employee performance. Based on company data, it is shown that there was a decline in employee performance in the third and fourth quarter of 2019. The phenomenon of decreasing performance is what underlies this research. Then build an empirical research model of transformational leadership style and work motivation on employee performance at PT. Pos Indonesia Kudus through the concept of organizational commitment.The data used in this study are primary data in the form of distributing questionnaires as many as 50 employee respondents from all departments at PT Pos Kudus. The sampling technique used in this study is probability sampling. The analysis model of this study used the PLS Structural Equation Model and to test the effect of the intervening variables, the specific indirect effect test was used. The results showed that (1) transformational leadership was positive on employee performance. (2) work motivation has a positive effect on employee performance. (3) transformational leadership has a positive effect on organizational commitment. (4) work motivation has a positive effect on organizational commitment. (5) organizational commitment has a negative effect on employee performance.From the results of the intervening test on the specific indirect effect, Organizational Commitment can be an intervening variable between Work Motivation and Employee Performance. This means that employees feel that their Work Motivation is very good and can show that employees have a sense of being motivated in terms of improving work to continue to develop so that inwardly employees have the instinct to increase their capabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership style on employee performance with proactive personality as moderator and affective commitment as mediator. This study consists of two dependent variables, one independent variable, one moderating variable and one mediating variable. The dependent variables in this study are task performance and contextual performance. The independent variable in this study is a transformational leadership style. The moderating variable in this study is proactive personality and the mediating variable in this study is affective commitment. The population in this study were all employees of the Bhina Raharja savings and loan cooperative in Pemalang Regency. The sample used purposive sampling, amounting to 120 respondents. The data collection technique is done by using a questionnaire. Analysis of research data using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis which is operated through the WARP PLS 5.0 program. The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership style on task performance and contextual performance has a positive and significant effect and affective commitment has a positive and significant effect on contextual performance. Proactive personality as a moderating variable weakens the relationship between transformational leadership style and task performance. Affective commitment as a mediating variable can strengthen the relationship between transformational leadership styles and contextual performance
