Abstract

Leadership is one aspect of the organization that is needed both in generalorganizations and not for profit organizations, because leadership is one of the keys to thesuccess of an organization. Rumah Sakit Islam PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan, whichis a social organization owned by an Islamic organization that is Muhammadiyah which isengaged in health services. Carrying the name of Islam, of course leadership applied isIslamic leadership, both in management and service aspects always trying to provide it inaccordance with Islamic values. in 2019, the inauguration of the syar’i hospitalcertification emerged. This is a new challenge for Islamic hospitals, because there was aneed for change management to further deepen Islamic values. In the process of change, ittakes the role of a leader. Leaders who have attributes in accordance with employeeexpectations will be easier to bring the organization in the process of preparing theorganization to face the syar’i hospital certification. This research aim to find Islamicleadership practice that have attributes in accordance with expectations by employees.Implicit Leaderhip Theory were used to to find those attributes.This study was using qualitative methods that started from in depth-interviews andobservation. Firstly the respondents are chosen with several requirements such as have aminimum tenure of five years. Secondly, respondents were interviewed with questions thathad been prepared. Thridly, observations carried out to see the actual situation.The results show that Islamic leadership needs to be adopted by all leaders of RSIPKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan on practical level. Morever, by implementing alldimensions of core leadership functions with Islamic Leadership guidance, will be fulfilledemployees wish that has becomes their motivation to achieved the Syar’I hospitalcertification.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work engagement and leadership on employee performance through organizational commitment as a intervening variable on the Head Office of PDAM Tirta Moedal, Semarang City. This study uses data through the distribution of research questionnaries, and secondary data through journals and books.This study uses a probability sampling technique that is a random sampling. The sample in this study were employees at the Head Office of PDAM Tirta Moedal, Semarang City, whose dound 75 people. The data analysis technique used in this study is Partian Least Square with SmartPLS 3.2.9 application to find path coefficients, and the direct or indirect influence of exogeneous on endogeneous variables. Analysis of the statistical testing result use alpha α = 0,05. While the results of the study show that work engagement has a significant positive effect on employee performance and organizational commitment, leadership has a significant positive effect on employee performance and organizational commitment, and organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addiction, organizational commitment variables can mediate an indirect relationship between leadership on employee performance but not to work engagement on employee performance

Abstract

Alfamart  H825, located  in  Semarang, Central Java  encounters  sale decreasing  28% in  2019 compared  to  2018  sale.  Based  on  interviews,  the  decline  in  sales  turnover  was  due  to  the emergence of a new competitor, Indomaret, which the location is close to Alfamart.  Besides, based on  customer  surveys,  they  were  not  satisfied  enough  with  the quality of  service  provided  by Alfamart such as the store environment, product availability, services, and limited promotions. Customer satisfaction is important to study because it covers consumer ratings of quality provided by the company in serving the needs of consumers and it roles as dependent variable that is influenced by the independent variables above. This research is aimed to explain the effect of store environment, assortment, services laborers, and sales promotion towards customer satisfaction at Alfamart Jl. Tirto Agung, Banyumanik, Semarang. This research was conducted using survey method and questionnaire that was measured using Likert scale towards the customers of the store. Firstly, questionnaire was distributed to respondents by researcher. Secondly, data are processed by SPSS application version 20. Thirdly, data are analyzed  by results of existing research and theories. Fourthly, draw conclusions based on the results of data analysis. There were 105 respondents who were at least, shopping twice per month in this store. The result shows that assortment has positive and significant effect   towards customers satisfaction and services laborer has positive and significant effect  towards customers satisfactiom while  store  environment  and  sales  promotion  have  not  positive  effect  towards  customers satisfaction. To increase consumer satisfaction, retail should provide a variety of product (assortment product) so that consumers freedom to choose products according their wants and needs. In addition, retails should improve the ability of salespeople to improve their ability to serve consumers. To increase consumer satisfaction, retailer should provide many assortment product so consumers can choose products that suit their wants and needs. In addition, retail should increases the seller's ability to increase quality of service for consumers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loans (NPL), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Operational Costs Operating Income (BOPO), Third Party Funds (DPK), and Company Size (SIZE) on banking performance proxied by Return on Assets (ROA). The population in this study is conventional commercial banks in Indonesia which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2014 - 2018. The number of samples in this study were 23 banks, where the sample collection uses a purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis and first performs the classic assumption test, the F statistical test, and the t statistical test. The results of hypothesis testing in this study indicate that CAR, DPK, and SIZE have significant positive effect on ROA, then NPL and BOPO have a significant negative effect on ROA, whereas LDR does not significantly influence ROA. Based on the results of the study showed that the BOPO variable had the greatest effect on ROA. The result of the R Square value is 0.820, so that 82% of the ROA variable can be explained by the CAR, NPL, LDR, BOPO, DPK, and SIZE variables, while the remaining 18% is explained by other factors not explained in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of online customer review towards consumer purchase intention of cosmetic in Indonesia. To achieve the research objectives, author conducted a case study on one of the largest review platforms in Indonesia, namely Femaledaily.There are four independent variables (review quality, review quantity, review valence, and credibility source) to examine the effect of online consumer review toward purchase intentionThe sampling method used on this research is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Samples collected from 100 respondents in Indonesia who had read a review through the application or the Femaledaily website.The results showed that the review quality, review quantity, and review valence has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention for cosmetics products. While the review valence does not have a significant influence on purchase intention. By knowing the results of this research, marketers are expected to consider online customer reviews as marketing strategies that can be used to increase company sales.

Abstract

In this era of global competition, companies are required to be able to compete, so companies must have good perfomance. One component of creating a company perfomance in order to compete is superior human resource perfomance. One factor that can affect perfomance is job satisfaction. Job satisfaction can be influenced by the work environment, leadership style, and the organizational culture of company. So the purpose of this tudy is to find out and analyze the influence of the work environment, leadership style, and organizational culture on employee perfomance through employee job satsisfaction.This research uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to get respondent data. The population of this study was blue-collar workers in the food industry sector wich amounted to 157 employee. The sample used amounted to 100 employees of CV. Virgin Cake and Bakery Ungaran branch. Data analysis techniques in this study used Partial Least Square with SmartPLS 3.0 software to determine the path efficiency and the effect of independent variables on the dependent variables. The result show that the work environment has a positive but not significant effect on employee job satisfaction and employee perfomance. Leadership style has a positive but not significant effect on employee perfomance. On the other hand, leadership style and organizational culture have a positif and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. In addition, organizational culture and employee job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on employee perfomance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work stress variables on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. However employee performance is the most important asset of all, there was a problem of decreasing employee performance at PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk Semarang. Research gap from the previous research also becomes the background of this research. The population in this study are employees of PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk Semarang using non-probability accidental sampling in sampling with the number of participant involved in this studies as much as 63 employees. Analysis of the data used in this study is descriptive and quantitative analysis methods and uses the Sobel test as a tool for testing the effects of mediation. The data processing is done using the IBM SPSS 23 program.The results of this study indicate that compensation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and also a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job stress has a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction and also a negative and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction is proven to mediate the relationship between compensation and employee performance and the relationship between work stress and employee performance. With total determination test, compensation, works stress, and job satisfaction can explain 59,2% of employee performance.

Abstract

Problems that occur in the CV. Cahaya Bunga Kreasi is an indication that the performance of staff and employees is felt to be decreased, namely a decrease in the results of employee performance appraisals of CV. Light of Flowers Creations. Previous research from Ibrar and Khan (2015) and Njanja dkk (2013) have added the managerial phenomenon with contradicted finding. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of non-physical work environment, reward and work motivation on employee performance of CV. Cahaya Bunga Kreasi. Population and sample were the same (77 employees), this research considered as using census approach. Data was collected using questionnaire.and then analyzed by multiple linear regression. The ressults showed that all three independent variable; non-physical work environment, reward and work motivation have a positive effect on employee performance. The model can explain 63,1 percent of the problem based on the adjusted R square score and the rest based n other external factors beside all variables used in this research.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of bank financial performance on banking stability listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Bank financial performance as measured by Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Operational Expenditures to Operating Income, Non Performing Loans (NPL), and Loan to Deposits Ratio (LDR) as independent variables and dependent variables is Banking Stability using the Z-Score Return on Assets (ROA).This research used secondary data with population consists of 44 commercial banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2014-2018. The purposive sampling method used was used in selecting the research sample and 30 conventional commercial banks from the banking sector. This research was conducted based on financial intermediation theory and competition theory using multiple regression analysis..The results of this research indicate that Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Non Performing Loans (NPL) have a positive significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA). But, Net Interest Margin (NIM) has a negatif significant effect and Operational Expenditures on Operating Income (BOPO) and Loan to Deposits Ratio (LDR) have no negative significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA). This research has implications. The implication of this research is that bank supervisors must have clear regulations and ensure that regulations are designed to reduce risks and avoid defaults so that the profitability of banks increases in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of banks model, the different types of ownership, and ownership concentration on bank financial performance. State ownership, domestic ownership and foreign ownersip were used as the ownership indicators and Net Interest Margin (NIM) ratio were used as the proxied of financial performance. The Population that was used in this research consisted of all conventional and islamic commercial banks which is listed in Directory of Indonesian Banking 2018 and published the financial statements during 2014-2019. After passed the purposive sampling method there were 94 banks obtained as samples. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistic, classical assumption test  and panel regression test with random effect model. The result of this research showed that banks model and state ownership have positively significant impact on NIM and foreign ownership has negatively significant impact while domestic ownership and ownership concentration have insignificantly impact on bank financial performance.Â
