Abstract

The beauty industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth, driven by increasing public awareness of self-care, the dominance of younger age groups, and the advancement of e-commerce and social media. The growing competition has made consumers more selective, thus requiring effective strategies to build brand loyalty. Emina, a local brand targeting the teenage segment, has gained increasing popularity. In fact, Emina has successfully secured the second position in national cosmetic usage. However, the intensifying competition demands that Emina continuously optimize its strategies to build consumer loyalty and maintain its market position. Based on this background, the purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of brand experience on brand loyalty through self-congruity as an intervening variable (a study on Emina consumers). The population in this study consists of Emina consumers in Semarang, with a total sample of 160 respondents. Data were collected through an online questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the help of AMOS 26.0 software. The results of the study show that brand experience has a significant effect on self-congruity, and self-congruity significantly influences brand loyalty. It is found that self-congruity fully mediates the effect of brand experience on brand loyalty. Meanwhile, the direct effect of brand experience on brand loyalty is not significant. This study also finds that self-congruity is the key predictor in influencing consumer brand loyalty.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has brought significant transformation across various sectors, including transportation services. One of the manifestations is the emergence of online transportation platforms such as Maxim, which offers relatively lower prices compared to its competitors. However, negative perceptions regarding service quality and price transparency, especially in Semarang, have raised concerns. This prompts an investigation into the extent to which factors such as price fairness, service quality, and perceived value influence customer satisfaction and, in turn, affect users’ trust in the service. This study employs a quantitative approach using non-probability sampling with a purposive technique. The sample consists of 102 active Maxim users in Semarang. Data were collected through an online questionnaire via Google Form and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The variables examined include price fairness, service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction as a mediating variable, and customer trust as the dependent variable. Measurement and structural model analyses were conducted to assess the validity, reliability, and relationships between variables. The findings indicate that price fairness, service quality, and perceived value have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer trust toward Maxim's service. These results imply that companies must emphasize fair pricing, improve service quality, and create added value for customers to foster greater trust and loyalty in the context of online transportation services.

The important role of Account Officer (AO) as a bank energy marketing demands reliability in achieving targets, which not only contributes to the success of the company but also improves their synchronization, but pressure due to demands for quality service, technological changes, efficiency, and reduced work energy can trigger stress and dissatisfaction, which has the potential to cause deviant behavior in the workplace (CWB) such as avoiding work, sabotage, to failure, so this study focuses on understanding the root causes of the occurrence which are influenced by various factors such as Role Ambiguity, organizational constraints, and Job Burnout. The population in this study were all active employees of the Account Officer division of PT XYZ Tbk, Semarang City Branch. The selection of samples in this study used a sampling quota by adjusting the total number of Account Officer employees of PT XYZ Tbk, Semarang City Branch, as many as 56 people. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires via Google Form. The data that has been collected will then be analyzed quantitatively using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS software version 4.0.The results of the study indicate that Role Ambiguity, Organizational Constraints, and Job Burnout are proven to have a positive and significant influence on Counterproductive Work Behavior (CWB), where role ambiguity experienced by Account Officers (AO) increases the possibility of task or internal neglect, limited organizational resources in the form of assistance and support for counterproductive behavior, and job burnout reduces AO involvement in work and increases the potential for actions that affect the organization, with this in line with previous studies showing that role ambiguity, organization, and high levels of burnout have a significant correlation with deviant behavior in the workplace.

Abstract

The edutech startup industry in Indonesia is currently experiencing rapid growth but is also confronting significant challenges in retaining employee engagement. Company X, as a leading startup in this sector, must ensure the dedication of its employees amidst high work dynamics and pressure. This study is motivated by inconsistencies in previous literature regarding the direct influence of ethical leadership on employee engagement, as well as the need to understand the internal mechanisms that bridge this relationship, namely through employees' psychological and affective factors. This research aims to test and prove that ethical leadership positively influences employee engagement, mediated by self-efficacy (self-confidence) and organizational commitment (emotional attachment).Data collection for this study involved 80 permanent employees of Company X using a census method. The data obtained were subsequently analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) method.Based on the research findings, it was found that ethical leadership has a positive but insignificant effect on employee engagement, while it has a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy and organizational commitment. Furthermore, self-efficacy and organizational commitment were proven to have a positive and significant influence on employee engagement, and both successfully mediated the relationship between ethical leadership and employee engagement. This conclusion underscores that ethical leaders succeed in enhancing employee engagement through the development of self-efficacy and organizational commitment.

Abstract

The beauty industry in Indonesia has experienced significant growth in recent years, in line with the rapid rise of social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube as marketing tools. This phenomenon has led to the emergence of influencer based marketing strategies, encouraging many brands to seek suitable influencer for collaboration. This study aims to analyze influencer credibility and content characteristics of influencer posts, which are considered to influence customer engagement and its implication on purchase intention. The research was conducted among followers of the beauty influencer Tasya Farasya.Data were collected through an online survey using Google Form. The questionnaire was distributed to 157 respondents who follow Tasya Farasya's social media accounts and access her beauty product content. This study was analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and processed using SmartPLS version 4.The results show that source expertise, source attractiveness, content design quality, and content creativity have a significant effect on customer engagement. However, source trustworthiness does not significantly influence customer engagement, nor does customer engagement significantly mediate the relationship between source trustworthiness and purchase intention. Furthermore, customer engagement is proven to have a significant effect on purchase intention, and most mediating paths show significant indirect effects. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of influencer based digital marketing in the beauty industry.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors on the value of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the mediating role of financial performance. Financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), while firm value is assessed through the Price to Book Value (PBV) ratio. The research explores how ESG factors contribute to firm valuation and whether financial performance serves as an intermediary in this relationship. The study analyzes manufacturing companies listed on the IDX from 2018 to 2022. Using purposive sampling, 39 companies were selected as the research sample. Panel data regression with logarithmic transformation was employed to minimize heteroscedasticity in the model. The findings reveal that the environmental aspect (ENV) has a positive and significant effect on PBV but a slightly negative impact on ROA. The social aspect (SOC) also positively and significantly affects PBV, while its influence on ROA is minimal and negative. Meanwhile, corporate governance (GOV) does not significantly affect either PBV or ROA.Financial performance (ROA) has a positive and significant effect on PBV but does not mediate the relationship between ENV, SOC, or GOV and PBV. These results indicate that ESG factors, particularly environmental and social aspects, contribute to firm value, but financial performance does not mediate this relationship. This study highlights the importance of ESG considerations in corporate valuation while recognizing the limited mediating role of financial performance.
