Abstract

This study examines the influence of ESG disclosure, debt levels, and board size on ROA in non-financial firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (2018–2022), using firm size as a moderator. Data from 63 companies were analyzed through multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) in EViews 13. The results show that ESG disclosure and board size positively affect ROA, while debt levels have a negative impact. Furthermore, firm size strengthens both the positive effects of ESG and board governance and the negative effect of debt. The findings suggest that while larger firms benefit more from sustainable practices and governance, they also face greater financial risks from high leverage. The study highlights the need for balanced ESG integration and debt management to optimize financial performance.

Abstract

Employee performance plays a vital role in achieving organizational success. One promising approach to improving performance is through enhancing perceived organizational support, which reflects the extent to which employees feel valued and supported by their organization. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived organizational support on employee performance with happiness at work as a mediating variable. The research was conducted on employees of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency of Central Java Province with a total of 90 respondents. A quantitative method was applied using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares 4.0 (SEM-PLS). The result indicate that perceived organizational support has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, happiness at work is proven to mediate the relationship between perceived organizational support and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of organizational attention not only to instrumental support but also to the psychological and emotional aspects experienced by employees. Organizations that foster a positive work environment and enhance emotional well-being are more likely to drive optimal performance.

Abstract

Medical professional education is an intensive training phase with high academic and clinical demands, increasing the risk of work-life balance imbalance and burnout. This phenomenon not only reflects individual health issues but also represents a strategic issue in human resource management in healthcare organizations. Medical professional students, as strategic human capital, play a crucial role in the quality of service and the sustainability of teaching hospitals. However, previous research has been dominated by quantitative approaches and focused on individual aspects, resulting in limited understanding of students' subjective experiences within the context of organizational policies, supervision, and work culture. This study aims to explore medical professional students' experiences of work-life balance from the perspective of human resource management and organizational behavior. The study used a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, with thematic analysis referring to the concepts of role conflict, job demands-resources, and perceived organizational support. The results indicate that role conflict and role strain are influenced by work design, clinical workload, supervision systems, and organizational culture. Institutional support as part of HRM practices is still perceived as limited. This research confirms that work-life balance is an organizational behavior issue that requires ongoing HRM policy intervention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership, transactional leadership, and organizational identification on job performance among employees of PT PLN (Persero). The background of this research is based on the importance of leadership style and organizational identification in enhancing employee performance, particularly in an increasingly competitive business environment. The study employed a quantitative approach with a census method involving 120 employees of PT PLN (Persero), both at the head office and branch offices. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that transformational leadership and organizational identification have a positive and significant influence on job performance. In other words, higher levels of transformational leadership and organizational identification lead to improved employee performance. On the other hand, transactional leadership shows a positive but not significant influence on job performance. These findings suggest that employee motivation at PT PLN (Persero) is more strongly driven by inspiration, individual consideration, and a sense of belonging to the organization, rather than by reward and punishment systems alone. The implications of this study highlight the importance of fostering transformational leadership and strengthening organizational identification as key strategies for improving employee performance. For the management of PT PLN (Persero), these findings can serve as a reference in formulating more effective human resource management policies to support the achievement of organizational goals.
