Abstract

This research aims to examines the factors that effect purchase decisions at Giant Supermarket. This is based on the Giants Supermarket’s problems those are the decrease of sales volume, the decrease of TOP Brand Index, the decrease of Brand Value, the decrease of Brand Share, and the decrease of the number of outlets in Giant Supermarket. This research was conducted at Giant Supermarket in Semarang, the factors are store atmosphere, price discount, and shopping emotion. These factors are considered to contribute a considerable share in consumer purchase decisions.The population in this research is consumer who have made purchases at Giant Supermarket in Semarang. The sampling technique which used in this research is snowball sampling with the total sample 150 respondents. The analysis tool which used is Structuran Equation Model (SEM).The result shows that the Store Atmosphere has a positive effect on Shopping Emotion, Price Discount has positive effect on Shopping Emotion, Shopping Emotion have positive effect on Purchase Decision.The shopping emotion factor is the most impact in comparison with other factors.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio, Current Ratio, Firm Size, and Growth on Dividend Payout Ratio on manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange since period 2008 - 2012. This study used secondary data with entire population of manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2008 - 2012. The method used to determine the sample using purposive sampling and the data obtained on the basis of publication financial report from www.idx.co.id. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression, regression testing prior to first tested the classical assumptions.Based on the statistical F indicates that the model is fit because has significance value less than 5% of alpha value (α). Meanwhile, based on statistical t test showed that the Return on Equity is positive and significant impact on Dividend Payout Ratio. On the other side, Debt to Equity Ratio, Current Ratio and Firm  Size are positive but has no  significant impact due to over Alpha value.  And the last one, Growth has negative and significant impact on Dividend Payout Ratio.Results of the analysis show that predictive ability to the five independent variables (ROE, DER,  CR,  Firm Size,  Growth)  is  19.9% and  it  shown  by  adjusted  R²  value,  the  rest  80.1% influenced by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

This study is purposed to analyze the effects of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational culture on employee’s performance. The phenomenon of fluctuation employee’s performance rate at PT. Nayati Indonesia, Semarang indicate that the employee’s performance is not maximized. This study used three independent variables there are job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational culture. This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational culture on employee’s performance at PT. Nayati Indonesia, Semarang. Data collection methods used in this study are questionnaires using random sampling method, the sample used in this study were permanent employees of PT. Nayati Indonesia, Semarang who have worked for at least two years as many as 84 respondents. This study uses data analysis methods include validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient determination test, F test and t test. The result showed that the variables of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational culture affect positively on the employee’s performance of employees at PT. Nayati Indonesia, Semarang. These variables have an impact of 57,9% on employee’s performance. While the remaining 42.1% is influenced by other variables outside of this study

Abstract

The services sector, especially health services experienced significant growth and has good prospects. This condition makes the competition become more progressively tight. Every hospital should be able to use a variety of ways in order to attract patients through the quality of service. Society tends to demand fast and better healthcare service. Many hospital are aware of it, so they have to achieve that customer satisfaction in a variety of strategies to retain customers. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of quality of service, price and facilities to the satisfaction of outpatients. This research was based by the number of outpatient‘s complaints are decreased at Kariadi's Hospital, and to know the influence of quality of service, price and facilities to the satisfaction of outpatients at Kariadi’s Hospital. The population in this research were outpatients of Kariadi’s Hospital. The number of samples used in this research are 100 people. Data was collected through questionnaire by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis to determine the influence of the variable quality of services, price and facilities to the satisfaction of outpatients at Kariadi’s Hospital. The analysis showed that the variable quality of service, price and facilities have a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction variables, both individually and together. The amount of Adjusted R Square is 0.836. This means that 83.6% variation in customer satisfaction can be explained by the three independent variables of service quality, price, and facilities. While the rest can be explained by other variables outside of the study.

Abstract

This study was involved by the NPF of islamic banks almost close to the threshold, 5%. One of aspects of the indication of increasing the NPF is the account officer of islamic banks innacuary to lending the financing to the customers that effected to bad credit. The aim of this study was to see the influence of profitability, collateral value, credit submission value, leverage, net working capital and character on determining the financing customers in islamic banks catogorized by ethnic chinese, indigenous people, muslim and non-muslim. The object of research used in this study is the account officer of Sharia Commercial Banks and Sharia Financing Banks in the City of Semarang as many as 52 account officers divided into 10 banks. The analytical method used is conjoint analysis to determine the influence and value of interest preferences from each account of a Sharia Commercial Banks and Sharia Financing Banks officer in the City of Semarang. Based on the results of the study for conjoint analysis shows that the value of interest preferences according to the overall respondents, the characters are in the first place wit\h importance values of 36.877%, leverage is second at 14.813%, the value of collateral in the third place at 12.461%, net working capital in the fourth place at 12.443%, the value of credit submission was fifth at 12.337% and the last was profitability which amounted to 11.069%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Asset Growth, Firm Size, Current Ratio, Financial Leverage, and Operating Leverage on stock beta. This study used five independent variables, namely Asset Growth, Firm Size, Current Ratio, Financial Leverage, and Operating Leverage, with one dependent variable is stock beta.Sampling technique used was purposive sampling criteria (1) company have already listing before the end observation period. (2) company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange and has the most complete financial statements and have been published during the observation period from 2009 to 2014. (3) company has the most complete of financial variabels (Asset Growth, Firm Size, Current Ratio, Financial Leverage, and Operating Leverage) which will be used to research samples in the period of 2009-2014. Data obtained by the publication of financial statements listed on the website of Indonesia Stock Exchange. The obtained sample number is 22 companies. Analysis technique used is multiple regression. Before that, the assumptions of classical test and test hypotheses using t-statistics, testing the coefficient of determination and F-statistics to test the effect of the joint-the same as the level of significance of 5%. It also tested the classical assumptions that included tests of normality, multicollinearity test, test of heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation test.Based on the results of data analysis, this research finds that Firm Size, Financial Leverage, dan Operating Leverage have positive but not significant impact on stock beta. The variable Current Ratio has a negative effect but not significant. The variable Asset Growth has a negative effect and significant on stock beta

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of job satisfaction and organizational commitment to ward employees turnover intention in PT. Hillconjaya Sakti, Cakung, East Jakarta. This study utilized data analysis method by using SmartPLS software. The sample used in this study are 98 respondents. Data was collected by questionnaires, surveys, interviews, and literature review. The results reveals that: 1) job satisfactions significantly and negatively affect on the organizational commitment, 2) the organizational commitment significantly and negatively affects on  thr turnover intention, 3) job satisfactions significantly and negatively affect on the turnover intention. Implications for managerial practice were discussed

Abstract

Cash is the most liquid assets company that serves as a blood company in the moving operating routine. Failure of firms in the face financial distress has focused attention on the importance of cash holdings. The purposes on this study was to identify relationship between cash holdings and leverage, diversified firms, dividend payment, investment opportunities, bank involvement and size, as well as the behavior cash holdings on big firms and small firms in the manufacturing industry.            This study uses secondary data with data derived from sources IDX and listed company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2 years study period in the 2011 and 2012. Sampling used purposive sampling method with the provisions of the company’s financial reports published during the study period. This study uses two models with the data analysis using the classical assumption, multiple linier regression analysis, t test, F test, the coefficient of determination and Chow Test to distinguish the behavior on a sample of big firms and small firms.            The result showed that the sample of manufacturing firms found negative relationship between cash holdings and leverage. The positive relationship between cash holdings and diversified firms, investment opportunities, bank involvement, and size, but no relationship between capital expenditure, dividend payment and cash holdings. Finally, there is no differences in the behavior of cash holdings between big firms and small firms.

Abstract

Bank has strategic position to support financial system stability in Indonesia. Banking main activity is collecting third party funds and then redistribute in a credit form. Lending activity makes bank faced problems when it’s implementing, one of the problem is non performing loan. To anticipate non performing loan, bank must has reserve, so the problem doesn’t directly impacting the operational activity of bank. Form of required reserve by bank is loan loss provision, so bank has to know what factor affect the amount of loan loss provision. This study analyze the effect of return on assets, loan to deposit ratio, debt to equity ratio, reserve and loan loss provision of conventional bank Indonesia in 2009 until 2013 period. Samples that are used in this study consist of 23 conventional banks in Indonesia. Regression model in this study using least square dummy variable (LSDV) including dummy of period.Result of this study shows that return on assets has negative coefficient and not significant towards loan loss provision. Loan to deposit ratio has positive coefficient but not significant so it does not effect loan loss provision while debt to equity ratio has negative coefficient and not significant to loan loas provision. Reserve has negative effect and significant to loan loss provision but it is inappropriate so the hypothesis is being rejected. Size has positive and significant toward loan loss provisions.

Abstract

Stock is one of investment instruments that have high risk. It happens because stock is very sensitive to macroeconomics change. There are many macroeconomic variables affecting stock prices including World Oil Price, Exchange Rate and Interest Rate. The previous study of macroeconomic effect on sectorial index has shows inconsistents results. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of macroeconomic factors toward sectorial index at Indonesian Stock Market.Generalized AutoRegressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) method is used in this study to test proposed hypothesis. The period of January 2006 to December 2016 is used as a research sample by taking the monthly price of each variable, so that 132 samples are obtained. World oil price, exchange rate, and interest rate are used to explain macroeconomics variabels.The result of hypothesis testing by GARCH method shows that world oil pricesignificantly have positive effect to   the index of agriculture sector, and mining sector. Then the rupiah exchange rate variables significantly have negative effect towards the nine existing sector indices. While the fed rate variable show positive effect to the index of infrastructure sector and trade sector.
