Abstract

Counterfeiting of luxury goods is a very profitable business, especially in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. billion dollars are lost every year because of the manufacture and sale of fake luxury goods. Researchers conducted a survey related to famous brand imitation footwear products. Famous shoe brands in Indonesia used in this study are Nike, Adidas, League, Reebok, Converse, Bata, Kasogi and Puma. The number of samples used was 207 respondents. This study uses analysis techniques of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the AMOS 22.00 analysis tool and is also assisted by analysis using SPSS.The results of this study indicate that value awareness has a positive and significant influence on attitudes toward brands, fulfillment of social status has a positive and not significant influence on attitudes toward brands, materialism has a positive and significant influence on attitudes toward brands and attitudes towards brands have a positive and significant influence towards purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Human resources has becoming one of the most vital factor that determine the company’s  success. The company’s success itself is usually determined by the employee’s performance. Pre survey result has found a phenomenon which occurs in the company is a decreasing on the employee’s performance. On the other hand there are previous research about the influence of the compensation and leadership on employee performance. This is the background for this research.This research is using compensation and leadership as the independent variable and employee’s performance as the dependent variable. The population of this research are marketing division of PT. Great Mataram Semarang. Sampling technique used in this research is sensus, with 45 correspondent. Reliability and validity of this data has been tested with validity and reliability test. This research is using multiple linear regression method.The multiple linear regression shown that compensation and leadership have positive significant impact to the employee’s performance. The coefficient determination shown that compensation and leadership affecting marketing division’s performance by 59,5%. While the other 40,5% are determined by another variable that is not explained in this research.

Abstract

Employees are the human resources that are needed in achieving companies goals. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to the good performance of employees. Problems that occur in this study is the declining performance of employees at PT. Bina Busana Internusa Semarang. This study aims to investigate the influence of education and training, career development and job satisfaction on employees performance at PT. Bina Busana Internusa Semarang.This study uses data collection using a questionnaire with random sampling method. The sample used in this study were permanent employees of PT. Bina Busana Internusa Semarang with the number of respondents was 83. This study uses data analysis methods include reliability test, validity test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, F test and t test and also the coefficient of determination test.The results showed that the variables of education and training, career development and job satisfaction have a positive influence on employee performance. The independent variables impact of 75% on the performance of employees at PT. Bina Busana Internusa Semarang.

Abstract

Exchange rate is an important issue to provide foreign Investment and foreign funding. Butsince free-floating axchange rate system has been applied in Indonesia, the movement of Rupiah against the US Dollar is hard to predicted. This condition brings many argumentations about the reasons behind the exchange rate instability whether it is caused by economic factors or by non- economic factors. By recognizing the causes, it will be easier for the fund seeker and investor of Indonesia to formulate the solution.This study aimed to analyze the influence of GDP, Money Supply, inflation, current account, financial account, and world oil prices to the exchange rate of Rupiah per U.S. Dollar. This study was made as there are differences between the results of research with each other and so can be used to predict fluctuations in the exchange rate of Rupiah per U.S. dollar.This study uses multiple linear regression statistic to test the hypothesis. The variable used in this study is Rupiah per U.S. Dollar, GDP, Money Supply, inflation, current account, financialaccount, and world oil prices. Type of data used in the form of time series data that restricted tothe data of each variable quarterly starting from the period Q1 2002 to Q4 2012 period.The results showed that the Money Supply and financial account has significant positive effect on Rupiah per U.S. Dollar exchange rate. While world oil prices has significant negativeeffect on the exchange rate of Rupiah per U.S. Dollar. Meanwhile, GDP, inflation, and current account does not affect the exchange rate of Rupiah per U.S. Dollar. In addition it was found thatthe value of adjusted R square is 64,9%. This means that 64.9% of the movement of Rupiah perU.S. Dollar exchange rate can be predicted from the six variables, while at 35,1% is explained by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

Creative industries are increasing in Indonesia, one of which is clothing, through the creative industry developed so that the current clothing apparel is not just a mere basic needs but also a lifestyle, through the clothes they wore one can show his true identity and appear more confident. One trend clothing that is currently happening a lot is clothes which sold in distro or distribution outlet where a lot of brands are popping up with a fresh concept and its market share on average are youngster.            The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image, product quality, product design, and the perception of prices on consumer buying interest. The population in this study are all the people who buy the products of Vicious Colony in Werehouse Store, Banjarmasin. The sample in this study was 100 people who buy the products of Vicious Colony in Werehouse Store, Banjarmasin taken by purposive sampling. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire.            t test results prove that all independent variables (brand image, product quality, product design, and price perception) have a positive effect on the dependent variable consumer buying interest of Vicious Colony product in Werehouse Store, Banjarmasin. According to the consumer, the four variables considered important when buying a product of Vicious Colony in Werehouse Store, Banjarmasin. And of the coefficient of determination (adjusted ) obtained at 0,788. This means that 78.8% of buying interest from Vicious Colony product in Werehouse Store, Banjarmasin can be explained by the variable of brand image, product quality, product design, and price perception, while the remaining 21.2% of buying interest are influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the effect of Firm’s Value that valued by Price to Book Value (Price to Book Value) from Profitability (Return On Equity), Liquidity (Current Ratio), Size of Firms (Size), and Institutional Ownership (K_INST), and with Capital Structure (DER) as the mediatior variable.We use Property and Real Estate firms that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) through period 2011-2015 and 2012-2016 with signalling theory as a sample of research and based on purposive sampling, we selected 41 firms as the sample of this research. We are using path analysis to examine the effect, and using analytical methods, classical assumptions test that consist of normality test, multicollinearity test, model fit, and residual covariance test.The result shows that simultantly using path analysis, ROE and Size have affected DER, and contrast with Institutional Ownership and CR which doesnt. With value of c.r of -3,882 from ROE proven that ROE have negative effect toward PBV. In the other hand, PBV affected with positive effect from Size with 6,098 points of c.r value. Significant relation occured from DER with 0,018 p value and -2,357, also CR with 0,020 and -2,329 c.r. Non-significant relation occured with ROE, Size, and Institutional Ownership with p value of 0,262, 0,966, and 0,709. Also, DER can mediate the relation between ROE through PBV with p sobel’s value of 0,0439. This research also found that with adjusted r- square, DER have 14,2% described with the variables, followed by PBV that have described by ROE, CR, Size, Institutional Ownership, and DER by 10,8%.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of variable market share  and the level of concentration (concentration rate) as a proxy of market structure and bank financial ratios such as Net Interest Margin (NIM), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR ), and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) on the profitability of commercial banks.This study uses data obtained from the annual financial statements published by the bank in the Condensed Financial Statements Financial Services Authority. The population in this study are120 commercial banks listed on the FSA between 2009 and 2013. The samples used with judgment sampling as many as 20 commercial banks with the largest amount of assets. Data analysis methods used in this research is panel data regression with Fixed Effect Method (FEM). Hypothesis test using t-test to test the effect of individual variables, as well as the F-test to test the effect of variables simultaneously with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the structure of the banking industry in Indonesia in 2009-2013 led to the traditional hypothesis, which profitability affected by market concentration. Market share has positive effect and not significant on profitability. NIM and CAR have positive effect and significant positive effect on profitability, while LDR and BOPO have negative effect and significant on profitability.

Abstract

The research aims to examine and analyze the influence of transformational leadership style and compensation toward performance of employee in CV. Nida Food. Data collected through distribution of questionnaires and it is implemented to CV. Nida Food’s 50 employee. Analysis of data in this research using the help of SPSS version 17. A sampling technique uses a Slovin method and data test technique is used within the research includes validity test by factor analysis, reliability test with cronbach. Classic assumption test and double linear regression analysis, to verify and to prove the research hypothesisThe result of this research shows that there is no significant influence between transformational leadership style and compensation for employees performance in Nida Food. Meanwhile Nida Food employees performance influenced by leaderhip and compensation takes around 1,30% and the rest 98,7% are determined by other factors and variables which are not the main concern of this research

Abstract

This study aims to give some answer for the problems experienced by Mentari prepaid GSM simcard  with the decreased ranks in top of mind awareness in the public by examining the influence of outdoor media, the popularity of endorser, and creativity of advertising on the effectiveness of advertising in order to foster top of mind this product. Samples in this study are 100 people taken from the college student that use the services of mobile operators with various brands. The case study research conducted in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University. By using 2-stage regression with SPSS software for windows, obtained a result which indicates that the appeal of outdoor media, the popularity of endorser, and creativity of advertising have a positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of advertising in order to foster top of mind and also showed that the appeal of outdoor media have the greatest influence. Therefore, the implications suggested in this study are Indosat have to further improve the outdoor media advertising in advance so will be got great appeal in the consumer’s attention and then followed by making the creative advertising and choose a popular brand endorser on that time, so a high effective advertising will appeared and top of mind will grow.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of demographic factors, namely, gender, age, and education level on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) by using gender, age, and level of education as the independent variables and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The study was conducted to follow up the difference in the results of the earlier study.  The research is important because OCB creates prosocial and constructive behavior that beneficial for the organization. OCB could be measured using Organizational Citizenship Behavior Checklist (OCB-C) that designed to measure the OCB scores of employee.
