Abstract

The analysis of Stevia feasibility study at PT. Mitra Kerinci as the alternative product of sugar business aims to analyze and study the level of Stevias feasibility as alternative product of sugar business as well as what marketing strategies will be used to develop Stevia as sugar business alternative. The analysis of this feasibility study was assessed using feasibility study aspects as follows; market and marketing aspect, production and technology aspect, management and human resource aspect, legal aspect, social and environment aspect, and also financial and economic aspect. From the calculation of the five methods it can be shown that the plan to develop Stevia as sugar business alternative at PT. Mitra Kerinci is acceptable and feasible to run. The strategy that can be applied is by supporting the policies of aggressive growth. The marketing pattern that can be developed must be a vigorous promotion and must be able to influence consumers to replace sugar into Stevia sugar

Abstract

PT Andromedia is a private company engaged in IT Development located at Jalan Gayung Kebonsari Perum Graha Indah F21-22 Surabaya. This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and work culture on person-job fit and employee performance at PT Andromedia. The population in this study amounted to 68 employees and the sampling technique used was saturated sampling meaning that the entire population would be sampled. The tool for analyzing data in this study uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis method that is run with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The test results have 5 hypotheses, among others, first, competence has no significant effect on a person-job fit. Second, work culture has a significant influence on a person-job fit. Third, competence has a non-significant effect on employee performance. Fourth, work culture has a significant effect on employee performance. Fifth, the person-job fit has a significant influence on employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of tourism products and destination image of tourists visiting decision. The method in this study uses a type of probability sampling, including simple random sampling with a sample of 200 respondents. The analysis technique used is multiple linier regression analysis, coefficient of determination, simultaneous model testing (F test), and partial hypothesis testing (T test). T test result shower that tourism products had a positive and significant effect on visiting decisions, destination image had a positive and significant effect on visiting decisions.The F test results the probability value sig. 0,000 < 0,05 which means that the F test can be accepted and shows the influence simultaneously. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination test obtained a value of 0,596 can be interpreted that the influence of tourism products and destination image on the decision of visiting that is equal to 59,6%, the remaining 40,4 % is influenced by other factors not explained this study.

Abstract

Banking health is very important to be maintained because banks play an important role in society, especially as increasing the country's economic growth. This study aims to examine the effect of risk-based bank rating on financial distress. The risk-based bank rating ratio consists of risk profiles proxied by NPL and LDR, good corporate governance proxied by the size of the board directors and independent commissioners, earnings proxied by ROA, ROE, BOPO, and NIM, and capital proxied by CAR. The yardstick used in this research is the bankometer model. The research year is 6 years from 2013-2018. The population was all non-foreign exchange banks, amounting to 30. The sample was determined using purposive sampling, find 20 non-foreign exchange with data analysis techniques using logistic regression. Research data using SPSS 25. The results of the study found the influence of LDR, size of the board directors, NIM, and CAR. LDR ratio has a significant negative effect, board size has a significant positive effect, NIM has a significant negative effect, and CAR has a significant negative effect on financial distress. This because the fourth variable had an important thing on liquidity, independent oversight, interest income, and capital adequacy. Whereas NPL, independent commissioners, ROA, ROE, and BOPO do not affect financial distress. This because the value of each variable already appropriate with Bank Indonesia determination and it summed up that Non-Foreign Exchange Bank already apply it well. This shows that risk-based bank ratings can be a parameter of bank health.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to study the relationships among city branding, e-WOM (electronic word of mouth), and tourists intention for visiting. The study focused on the tourists who would visit Batu City as the sample by using a nonprobability sampling technique. Questionnaires were distributed to 200 participants by google forms. Data analysis techniques were Multiple Linear Regression with validity and reliability test, classic assumption, and hypothesis test (t-test). The results indicated that city branding is positively influenced by the tourists intention for visiting, but e-WOM is negatively influenced by the tourists intention for visiting. The implications in this study can be used as input for the Batu City Government in developing the city branding œShining Batu to increase tourists intention for visiting.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze differences in the financial performance of acquisitor companies before and after mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in 2015. Financial performance measurement tools are Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Equity (ROE), Total Assets Turnover (TATO), and Market Value Added (MVA). The observation period is for 3 years before and after mergers & acquisitions. The sampling technique that is purposive sampling was obtained by 4 companies of acquisitor. Data analysis techniques used Wilcoxon signed-rank t-test and paired sample t-test. The results of this study are that there is no difference in CR and DER but there are differences in ROE, TATO, MVA in the acquisition company 3 years before and after M&A. The overall results are concluded that the financial performance of the acquisition companies after M&A decreased so that the synergy expected by the company was not achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and explain the effects of employee empowerment, teamwork and training on job satisfaction at Human Resource Management and Marketing & Customer Services of PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya with a sample size of 60 respondents to employees at Human Resource Management and Marketing & Customer Services of PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya. The statistical analysis used in this study was SPSS. The results of this study indicate that employee empowerment does not affect job satisfaction, teamwork does not affect job satisfaction and training has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction.

Abstract

College students are the generation that lives side by side with current communication technology. To conduct activities such as shopping, many college students also use the online marketplace for reasons that are more practical and do not take up time and effort. This is the reason why college students are the target for consumers who are often targeted for marketing products to sell well. How to get loyal customers is often done by giving price discounts for their product. The purpose of this study is to conduct an analysis of customer loyalty in the online marketplace who affected by price discounts in their product. This research is quantitative research. The sample used consisted of 60 people who decisions in 2018 and 2019 psychology students in Surabaya State University. This sample is taken by purposive sampling method. Data are collected by using a questionnaire with a Likert scale as a measurement and will be analyzed with a simple linear regression technique that helps by the SPSS program. The results of this study are, there is a significant positive influence on price discounts and consumer loyalty in online marketplace users.

Abstract

This financial technology innovation continues to develop along with changes in people's lifestyles. Financial services that provide online loan facilities are currently trending as a means of payment for several large e-commerce in Indonesia. Shopee is e-commerce that has a PayLater facility as an alternative method of shopping transactions that provides loan funds under the name Shopee PayLater. The use of Shopee PayLater makes it easy for consumers to shop online through the Shopee marketplace even though they don't have enough funds to shop. This research is a quantitative study with a conclusive research design to determine the effect of trust and ease on purchasing decisions using online loans. Sampling technique on this research used judgmental sampling and snowball sampling with a sample size of 110 respondents that Shopee users. Which are Shopee users have once made transactions using ShopeePayLater. The results of this study indicate there is a significant positive influence between trust and ease of purchasing decisions using online loans. Based on the result, it is recommended that Shopee PayLater make pay attention and make sure that this application has guaranteed security, so it can build a good image to increase the trust and have an impact to purchase decisions towards online loans Shopee PayLater.
