Abstract

The increasingly massive development of digital technology brings both positive impacts and serious challenges to children's growth and development, one of which is the increased risk of exposure to pornographic content. Easy access, minimal digital literacy, and weak supervision are factors that increase children's vulnerability to content that is inappropriate for their psychological and cognitive developmental stages. This study aims to examine preventive efforts to protect children from exposure to pornography in the digital era through the synergy of parental roles and the use of educational visual media, particularly posters. The research method used is a qualitative approach through literature review by reviewing journal articles, research reports, and relevant documents discussing digital parenting, the dangers of pornography on children's brains, and educational visual media. The discussion focuses on two main aspects: the role of parental care in building children's control, communication, and digital literacy, and the effectiveness of educational visual media as a communicative and easily understood preventive tool for children and students. The results of the study indicate that the collaboration between adaptive parenting and the use of educational visual media can strengthen children's and their surrounding environment's awareness of the dangers of pornography. This research is expected to serve as a reference for parents, educators, and education practitioners in designing sustainable and contextual prevention strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technology and social media has significantly influenced how Generation Z engages with educational content. This study explores how Gen Z high school students adapt their learning styles to short educational videos available on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. Using a qualitative descriptive research design, data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, and questionnaires involving 30 students from urban senior high schools. The findings reveal that Gen Z learners prefer visual, fast-paced, and interactive content, with short videos serving as effective tools for reinforcing understanding and engaging attention. Students reported that these microlearning formats support their multitasking habits and align with their digital media consumption patterns. However, concerns emerged regarding content credibility and distraction when educational material is mixed with entertainment. The study highlights the potential of short-form video as a supplementary learning tool in hybrid and post-pandemic educational environments. It also identifies a gap in existing research concerning long-term impacts and learning outcomes, suggesting a need for further studies. The insights provided can inform educators, content developers, and policymakers in designing more effective digital learning strategies tailored to Gen Z preferences.

Abstract

The growing use of digital technology in higher education has opened new possibilities for reshaping traditional teaching methods. One innovative strategy gaining attention is gamified micro-learning, which blends brief, well-structured learning units with game-like features such as points, badges, and instant feedback. This study explores how gamified micro-learning influences undergraduate students’ attention span and academic performance. A structured questionnaire was distributed to 80 students, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results revealed that students reported a high average score for attention span (4.2) and a positive average score for academic performance (4.0). Attention levels showed consistent improvement throughout the learning sessions, rising from 3.5 to 4.3. Similarly, academic performance scores steadily increased from 3.8 to 4.1. These findings suggest that structured and interactive micro-learning experiences can strengthen focus and support academic growth. Overall, the study highlights the value of incorporating gamified approaches in higher education to boost engagement and encourage lasting learning outcomes.to academic improvement. The study supports the integration of gamified strategies in higher education to promote engagement and sustained learning outcomes.
