Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has accelerated digital transformation in the retail business sector, particularly in managing sales transactions, inventory, and multiple outlet operations. Conventional business management often results in data inconsistencies, delays in report generation, and difficulties synchronizing information across multiple outlets, thereby reducing overall operational efficiency significantly. This study aims to develop a Progressive Web Application based Multiple Outlet Point of Sale System to support integrated sales, inventory, and business operational management. The system was developed using the RGB Product Management Framework, applying the Agile approach during analysis and design stages, and Scrum during the implementation stage. The application was built using the Laravel framework and Progressive Web App technology, enabling users to access the system through various devices using a web browser without requiring conventional software installation. System evaluation was conducted using Black Box Testing to verify functional compliance and End User Testing. The results indicate that the developed system successfully integrates sales transactions, inventory management, outlet administration, and operational reporting into a single platform while ensuring that all primary functionalities operate according to user requirements. Furthermore, the system facilitates centralized data management across multiple outlets for consistent stock monitoring. Overall, the proposed system provides an integrated solution for retail business operations, simplifies transaction and inventory management, supports operational reporting, enhances information accessibility, and remains adaptable for future business development and technological improvements in accordance with evolving organizational needs and changing business requirements over time to ensure long term success and growth for the entire company.

Abstract

Village administrative services are still predominantly conducted manually, requiring residents to visit the village office to process various administrative documents. This conventional approach increases both processing time and transportation costs for citizens while imposing repetitive administrative workloads on village officials. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Village Information System (SIMDES) to facilitate the digital submission, verification, and issuance of administrative certificates. The system was developed using the Agile methodology with the Extreme Programming (XP) approach and implemented using PHP 8.0.30, Laravel 9.x, MySQL 8.0, Bootstrap 5, and the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. SIMDES supports four user roles—citizens, village staff, village heads, and administrators—each with distinct access privileges. The system provides online services for four types of administrative certificates, namely widow/widower certificates, single status certificates, domicile certificates, and police clearance recommendation letters (SKCK). It also incorporates multi-level verification and approval workflows, real-time application status tracking, automatic PDF document generation, and user management features. System evaluation was conducted using Black Box Testing across ten functional test scenarios, achieving a 100% success rate, which indicates that all system functionalities operated according to the specified requirements. The results demonstrate that SIMDES significantly improves the efficiency of village administrative services, enables citizens to access public services remotely without visiting the village office, and reduces the administrative burden on village officials. Future work includes integrating automated email/SMS notifications, implementing sensitive data encryption for national identification numbers, enabling two-factor authentication, and developing a digital archive feature to further enhance system security and service quality.

Abstract

Conventional door security systems have limitations regarding ease of access, security, and the modern user experience. Physical keys are prone to loss and duplication and do not support real-time access monitoring. The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Augmented Reality (AR) in door security systems remains largely unexplored; consequently, the potential of these technologies has not been fully utilized in either daily life or office environments. This research designs and implements an IoT-based Smart Door Lock integrated with an Augmented Reality application. The technologies employed include a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller, a 5V DC motor for door actuation, a solenoid lock mechanism, a relay module, an L298N motor driver, an LDR sensor paired with a 5V laser for indoor presence detection, a 16x2 LCD for system status display, and Firebase Realtime Database for communication between the AR application and the hardware. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method as defined by Sugiyono, comprising nine stages: identifying potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, product revision, usage testing, and production. Black Box Testing was conducted on all hardware components. Test results indicate that the system successfully connected to the internet in under 6 seconds using three different providers: Telkomsel, Axis, and Indihome. Data retrieval latency from Firebase was recorded at less than 3 seconds, the door opening/closing mechanism delay was under 5 seconds, and the LDR sensor response time was 1.68 seconds. All nine hardware test scenarios were validated. The system is capable of opening the door fully, partially, or automatically from the inside. It is concluded that the IoT and AR-based Smart Door Lock has been successfully developed and holds the potential to replace conventional door systems in office environments.

Abstract

GLX Cam camera rental business in Kota XYZ  Regency still records rental transactions manually, resulting in inefficient data management, information retrieval, report generation, and customer service, while increasing the risk of errors. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Camera Rental and Photography Service Information System to improve rental management and facilitate online booking for customers. The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The technologies employed include PHP, the CodeIgniter framework, MySQL database, Apache Web Server, and Google Chrome for application testing. The system involves two main actors: administrators and customers. Administrators can manage rental items, categories, brands, photography packages, bookings, payment confirmations, and income reports. Customers can register, browse product catalogues, select rental equipment or photography packages, place bookings, choose payment methods, and upload payment confirmations. In addition, the system provides an availability scheduling feature to prevent booking conflicts. The implementation results demonstrate that the system effectively integrates camera rental business processes, accelerates data processing, simplifies report generation, and improves customer service through an online booking platform. The system also supports transaction history management, fast data retrieval, and accurate information presentation for administrators. Functional testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method on 30 test scenarios representing all system requirements. The results showed that all 30 scenarios were successfully executed, achieving a 100% success rate. Therefore, the developed information system improves the effectiveness and efficiency of rental data management, enhances service quality, and provides customers with a convenient and reliable online rental experience

Abstract

The main problem in managing membership-based businesses is the lack of optimization in customer data management, manual member registration processes, and difficulties in accurately monitoring membership status and expiration periods. These conditions can cause delays in service delivery, data recording errors, and ineffective customer relationship management strategies. This research aims to develop a web-based Membership Information System by implementing the Agile method using the Scrum framework as a system development approach. The technologies used in this research include PHP programming language with the Laravel framework for application development, MySQL as a database management system, and responsive web technology that allows the system to be accessed through various devices. The Agile method was selected because it supports a flexible development process that can adapt to changing user requirements through continuous iteration or sprint stages. The development process was carried out through four main sprints, including requirements analysis, system design, feature implementation, and system testing. The research results indicate that the developed Membership Information System is able to execute all main features according to user requirements. Based on testing using the Black-box Testing method with 15 testing scenarios, the system achieved a functional success rate of 100%. Furthermore, the evaluation results show that the system improves the efficiency of new member registration processing time by 75% compared to conventional methods and reduces the risk of data recording errors to 0%. Based on these results, the implementation of the Agile method in developing the Membership Information System is proven to produce an effective, adaptive, and integrated system that supports faster, more accurate, and efficient customer data management processes.
