Abstract

The development of science and technology is increasingly rapid in the world, especially for the educational sector, the teachers should keep up with the times and adapt to the current technology. This can be utilized by teachers to start innovating by creating a learning media that students may access through their smartphones anytime and anywhere. One of the topics considered difficult to learn is protein synthesis, because it is not sensory and complex. This research aims to develop webtoon-based web-comic learning media to improve understanding of the 12th grade student in protein synthesis sub-topic. This research used ASSURE method (Analyze Learner, State Objective, Select Media and Materials, Utilize Media and Materials, Require Learner Participant, and Evaluate and Revise). Data collection methods through validation methods, response questionnaires, pre-test and post-test which were carried out 20 grade 12th students of SMA Negeri 14 Surabaya. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive-quantitative techniques. The results of this study is a learning media “Synprory!” webtoon-based web-comic with validity value 3,88 considered as a valid category and gain a positive responses from student with a practicality value of 95,5%. The results of the study were also effective in improving student understanding with an N-gain of 0,77 in the high category. Thus the development of “Synprory!” webtoon-based web-comic learning media to improve understanding of the 12th grade protein synthesis sub-topic is feasible in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills is a crucial competency for the 21st century and is essential for students. The scientific approach can be applied in the teaching and learning process to train students' critical thinking skills through electronic-based teaching materials. This research aims to create an e-worksheet on the diversity of ferns using a scientific approach to train critical thinking skills that are valid, practical, and effective. The research method is applying the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The e-worksheet product was tested on a limited basis with 20 students from class X-1 at MAN 2 Gresik. Research parameters in developing the E-worksheet include the validity based on expert assessments, the practicality based on its implementation, and the effectiveness based on the achievement of critical thinking skills and student responses. Research instruments include validation assessment instruments, implementation observation sheets, critical thinking assessments, and student response questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively. The analysis results indicate that the E-worksheet’s validity is 3.97 (very valid), its practicality is 97.29% (very good), and its effectiveness in terms of the achievement of critical thinking skills, indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and explanation respectively worth 85%, 85%, 100%, and 100% (very good), as well as positive responses from students worth 98.82% (very good). Thus, this E-worksheet is declared valid, practical, and effective, so it is suitable to be applied to train students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Abstract Education in society 5.0 makes learning activities, including practicum, more varied with technology. The challenges of 21st-century education require students to have critical thinking skills. In some schools, biology practicum activities have not been carried out due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure, for example membrane transport material need a practicum to understand the material better. This study aims to develop a blended learning Electronic Worksheet with collaborative practicum to improve students' critical thinking skills on membrane transport material that is valid, practical, and effective. This development research refers to the 4-D model without using the disseminated stage. The E-worksheet utilizes the Olabs virtual laboratory and has features including Fenomena Biologi, Wawasan Biologi, Berlatih Biologi, Memahami Biologi, Bicara Biologi. The E-worksheet trial was conducted on 30 students in Bojonegoro, East Java. Data analysis was done descriptively and quantitatively. The validity results reviewed from the assessment of three validators showed an overall percentage of aspects of 90.5%. The practicability of the E-worksheet is based on the students' response questionnaire which shows 94.33% and the questionnaire of students' activities which shows o97.77%. The effectiveness of E-worksheet is based on the increase in critical thinking skills with an n-gain score of 0.71. Thus, it is concluded that the E- E-worksheet based on blended learning with collaborative practicum on membrane transport material is valid, practical, and effective so that critical thinking skills can be higher. Abstrak Pendidikan di society 5.0 menjadikan kegiatan pembelajaran salah satunya praktikum lebih bervariasi berbantuan teknologi. Tantangan pendidikan abad 21 juga mengharuskan peserta didik memiliki keterampilan yakni critical thinking, collaborative, creativity, dan communication. Pada beberapa sekolah kegiatan praktikum biologi belum dilaksanakan karena minimnya sarana dan prasarana, salah satunya pada materi transpor membran yang membutuhkan praktikum untuk lebih memahami materinya. Perlu dilakukan pengembangan media ajar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Elektronik blended learning yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa materi transpor membran yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) tanpa tahap disseminate. E-LKPD yang dihasilkan memanfaatkan laboratorium virtual Olabs dan memiliki fitur Fenomena Biologi, Wawasan Biologi, Berlatih Biologi, Memahami Biologi, Bicara Biologi. Uji coba dilakukan pada 30 peserta didik salah satu SMA di Bojonegoro, Jawa Timur. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil validitas yang ditinjau dari penilaian tiga validator, menunjukkan hasil persentase keseluruhan aspek sebesar 90,5%. Kepraktisan E-LKPD ditinjau berdasarkan hasil angket respon peserta didik sebesar 94,33% dan hasil angket keterlaksanaan aktivitas peserta didik sebesar 97,77%. Keefektifan E-LKPD ditinjau berdasarkan hasil kenaikan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan skor n-gain sebesar 0,71. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis blended learning dengan praktikum kolaborasi pada materi transpor membran valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat lebih tinggi. Abstract

Abstrak Berpikir kritis merupakan kompetensi pendidikan berkualitas Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) yang perlu dikuasai. Keterampilan tersebut dapat dilatihkan kepada peserta didik melalui pendekatan saintifik. Oleh sebab itu, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan menciptakan bahan ajar yang layak berupa e-book berbasis pendekatan saintifik untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi transpor membran. E-book dikembangkan menurut model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Parameter penelitian berupa penilaian validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas. Validitas berdasarkan pada penilaian ahli; kepraktisan berdasarkan keterbacaan dan respons peserta didik; dan efektivitas berdasarkan tes. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi, uji keterbacaan, angket, dan tes. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan statistik sederhana berupa rata-rata dan persentase. Penilaian ahli menunjukkan validitas e-book sebesar 98% dengan kategori sangat valid. Uji keterbacaan berada pada level 10 dengan kategori praktis. Respons peserta didik sangat positif dengan persentase 96%. Ketercapaian indikator berpikir kritis sebesar 89% dengan kategori sangat baik dan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,77 dengan kategori tinggi. E-book transpor membran berbasis pendekatan saintifik dinyatakan layak sebagai bahan ajar Biologi kelas XI SMA ditinjau dari validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas. Kata Kunci : E-book, transpor membran, pendekatan saintifik, keterampilan berpikir kritis, SDGs Abstract Critical thinking is a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) quality educational competency that needs to be mastered. These skills can be trained to students through a scientific approach. Therefore, research was carried out to produce appropriate teaching materials in the form of e-books based on a scientific approach to train critical thinking skills on membrane transport material. The e-book was developed according to the ADDIE model which includes the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research parameters were in the form of an assessment of validity, practicality and effectiveness. Validity based on expert validation; practicality based on readability and student responses; and effectiveness based on tests. Research instruments include validation sheets, readability tests, questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively using simple statistics in the form of averages and percentages. Expert assessment showed that the validity of the e-book is 98% in the very valid category. The readability test was at level 10 with the practical category. Student responses were very positive with a percentage of 96%. The achievement of critical thinking indicators was 89% in the very good category and the n-gain value was 0.77 in the high category. The membrane transport e-book based on a scientific approach was is declared suitable as a Biology teaching material for class XI SMA in terms of validity, practicality and effectiveness. Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum merdeka diharapkan mampu melatihkan tuntutan kompetensi 4C pada abad 21 salah satunya kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat dilatihkan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik discovery learning. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-Book berbasis discovery learning, mendeskripsikan validitas serta kepraktisan E-Book. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE meliputi Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Parameter dilihat dari tingkat validitas berdasarkan telaah tiga validator serta kepraktisan yang ditinjau dari keterbacaan dan respon peserta didik. Penelitian ini diujicobakan pada 36 peserta didik kelas XI Fase F-3 SMAS Hang Tuah 1 Surabaya. Validitas E-Book berdasarkan komponen aspek kelayakan isi, kelayakan penyajian, kelayakan bahasa, dan aspek melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 3,84 berkategori sangat valid. Hasil uji keterbacaan E-Book yakni pada level 11 sesuai dengan sasaran pengguna peserta didik kelas XI SMA dengan persentase 91,6% kategori sangat baik. Respons peserta didik terhadap E-Book menunjukkan persentase positif sebesar 97,62% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa E-Book berbasis discovery learning pada materi sistem ekskresi yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis sebagai bahan ajar. Penggunaan E-Book dapat digunakan untuk melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI SMA karena E-Book dikembangkan untuk memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam berlatih kemampuan berpikir kritis. Abstract

The application of various curricula and the development of innovative learning models are also in the spotlight in this Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, especially in using learning media. Gamification, which involves game elements in learning, was introduced to increase student motivation and involvement. Working memory is a part of short-term memory that stores and manipulates information to help the learning process. This research aims to produce valid gamification media for cell division material to improve students' working memory. The type of research used in this research is development research using the ADDIE development model. Gamification media should meet specific criteria validated by material and education experts, including presentation, visuals, language, and content. The research showed that the gamification media for cell division material was declared high validity, with an average validation score of 0.94. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan e-book interaktif untuk mengurangi miskonsepsi pada materi transpor membran yang valid secara teoritis dan validitas empiris. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan research and development dengan menggunakan desain penelitian model 4D yaitu define, design, develop, disseminate. E-book interaktif untuk mengurangi miskonsepsi menggunakan langkah pembelajaran klinis 5e-learning cycle, yakni engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration dan evaluation dengan komponen buku berupa gambar, video, hyperlink, dan QR-code sehingga dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi transpor membran. Hasil penelitian berupa e-book yang memenuhi kriteria: 1) validitas teoritis berdasarkan syarat teknis dengan skor sebesar 96,5%, syarat konstruksi (97,9%) dan syarat didaktik dengan skor sebesar 100% sebagai e-book yang bersifat interaktif; serta 2) validitas empiris, yaitu dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi materi transpor membran dari tingkat miskonsepsi 54,20% menjadi 2,85%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book interaktif pada materi transpor membran valid secara teoritis dan empiris. Kata Kunci : E-book Interaktif, Miskonsepsi, 5-learning cycle, Transpor Membran.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu tuntutan keterampilan pembelajaran abad ke-21. Model pembelajaran PBL bisa meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis karena siswa dihadapkan dengan masalah kehidupan nyata dari lingkungan seperti permasalahan pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan E-LKPD berbasis PBL pada submateri upaya pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati yang valid, praktis juga efektif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Pengembangan E-LKPD dilakukan dengan model 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate) tanpa tahap disseminate. Uji coba terbatas dilaksanakan kepada 20 siswa kelas 10.9 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. Validitas E-LKPD diukur menurut penilaian validator yaitu ahli pendidikan dan ahli materi. Kepraktisan E-LKPD diukur menurut pengamatan kegiatan siswa selama pembelajaran serta respons siswa dan guru mengenai E-LKPD yang dikembangkan. Keefektifan E-LKPD diukur menurut ketercapaian indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas E-LKPD yaitu 97,25% dengan kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan E-LKPD menurut hasil observasi keterlaksanaan yaitu 95% dengan kategori sangat praktis, menurut hasil respons siswa yaitu 88,5% dengan kategori sangat baik dan respons guru 97% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan E-LKPD efektif dengan rata-rata nilai gain score 0,79 dengan kategori tinggi dan rata-rata ketercapaian indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis 88,13% dengan kategori sangat tuntas. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis PBL pada submateri upaya pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati yang dikembangkan valid, praktis dan efektif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMA.
