Journal of Technology, Religious Studies, Social and Humanities Science (JTRS): JTRS is a multidisciplinary journal published by PT. Flajk Informasi Global The journal is published twice annually (August and February) and consists of articles with aims and broad scope, that connects Scriptural and religious studies with technology, social sciences, and the humanities thereby fostering a holistic understanding of these fields. . Focus and Scope Journal of Technology, Religious Studies, Social and Humanities Science (JTRS) aims to promote interdisciplinary research that connects Scriptural and religious studies with technology, social sciences, and the humanities. The journal addresses contemporary global religious issues through both classical and modern research approaches, offering an inclusive academic platform for innovative scholarship that advances dialogue across religious studies, technology, social–humanities sciences, business, and cultural studies, thereby fostering a holistic understanding of these fields. In line with this aim, JTRS welcomes submissions in Scriptural and religious studies as well as related interdisciplinary domains, including technology, social sciences, humanities, business, and cultural studies. The journal accepts various types of manuscripts within its designated thematic areas: Technology, religous studies, Biblical studies and interpretation, socio-cultural, law, politics, education, economics, business and management, using multidisciplinary perspective that connects Scriptural and religious studies with thereby fostering a holistic understanding of these fields.

<![CDATA[Abstract - The ongoing crisis of democracy in contemporary Indonesia is marked by the weakening of the rule of law, the prevalence of political oligarchy, and the declining public trust in state institutions. The nationwide demonstrations of 2025, protests against parliamentary allowances, and the growing social polarization fueled by digital disinformation illustrate the fragility of democratic foundations. In this context, the church is confronted with a prophetic calling not merely as a religious institution, but also as a moral and social agent that proclaims truth, upholds justice, and defends the marginalized. This article seeks to reassess the prophetic voice of the church amid the democratic crisis through a qualitative approach based on literature review and critical discourse analysis. The findings reveal that the prophetic voice of the church must go beyond pulpit rhetoric and be embodied in concrete practices: pastoral accompaniment for congregations, social solidarity with civil society, advocacy in public policy, and the strategic use of digital media to counter hoaxes and misinformation. Furthermore, the church is called to foster interfaith dialogue, strengthen the political literacy of its members, and prioritize the ethics of justice in public engagement. The study concludes that the church’s prophetic voice remains relevant only when it bridges faith and socio-political praxis, thereby enabling the church to make a tangible contribution to the restoration of democracy in Indonesia. Thus, the church is present not only as the guardian of faith but also as a prophetic voice bringing hope and transformation to the nation.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to apply the discussion method as a learning strategy to help interpret and reflect on the principles of a God-blessed family as presented in Genesis 20:1–18. This study focuses primarily on the learning objective of helping individuals comprehend and determine the values of God’s blessings to be applied in Christian family life in accordance with biblical teachings, while also fostering Christ-like character as part of character and spiritual formation. By using an interactive discussion approach, participants are guided and invited to know the meaning of God’s blessings within the family in a meaningful and contextual manner, and to apply Christian values that foster harmonious and joyful families, as well as individuals with strong faith and character. This learning initiative is undertaken as part of the church’s or institution’s responsibility to nurture spiritual growth and character development. This is a descriptive qualitative study using explorative description approach, then this research uses natural object approach method study, where the researcher acts as the key instruction. The outcomes show that discussion method effective in the whole and deep understanding, also in building the faith growth and strengthen the Christ-like character to the prisoners.]]>

<![CDATA[This study examines the influence of the school environment on children's character development among fifth-grade students at SD Pelita Harapan, West Pontianak, with 22 students as subjects. The school environment encompassing physical, social, and cultural dimensions—functions as an ecological context that gradually shapes children's moral dispositions and behavior. The study employs a mixed methods approach with an embedded design, integrating Likert scale surveys, participatory observation, and in-depth interviews. Results indicate that the quality of teacher-student interaction, classroom climate, and consistent enforcement of school rules correlate positively with children's character indicators, particularly responsibility, honesty, and respect. These findings confirm that schools are not merely institutions for knowledge transmission, but structured and sustained ecosystems for character formation.]]>

<![CDATA[The post-truth era presents a crisis of truth in which emotions, identity preferences, and viral narratives influence public perception more than verified facts. This situation poses a serious challenge for the Evangelical church to uphold biblical authority while simultaneously presenting a witness of faith that is relevant, authentic, and transformative. This study aims to analyze the urgency of Evangelical orthopraxis. The research findings indicate that Romans 12:1–2 positions true worship as the offering of one’s life to God, the renewal of the mind as a continuous process of transformation, and the ability to discern God’s will as the foundation for ethical decision-making. These findings affirm that orthopraxis is not merely a complement to orthodoxy, but a concrete manifestation of faith—renewed by God’s grace—that is embodied in both personal life and public witness. The study concludes that Romans 12:1–2 provides a solid biblical and theological foundation for developing Evangelical orthopraxis in the post-truth era. Christian faith is understood as an integral unity of orthodoxy (right belief), orthopathy (right heart attitude), and orthopraxis (right action). Orthopraxis offers an Evangelical theological paradigm that is relevant for the church in building a life rooted in the Word of God.]]>

<![CDATA[Spiritual mentoring is a crucial tool in the formation of church leaders because it involves the transmission of faith, character, skills, and ministry responsibility. Its effectiveness is not solely determined by the mentor's experience. The mentor's relational orientation influences how authority is used, information is shared, differences are addressed, and dialogue is fostered. This article analyzes insecure leadership as a latent condition that can encourage self-oriented behavior, erode trust, reduce psychological safety, and hinder the mentee's independence. The study was conducted through a conceptual-theological synthesis of nine Indonesian and six international journal articles available through open access. The results reveal three detrimental manifestations: exclusive communication, proximity-based favoritism, and knowledge withholding. The article offers a six-stage model from insecurity to stagnation and proposes regeneration-based evaluation, identity security formation, two-way feedback, and release-oriented mentoring.]]>

<![CDATA[This article examines the role of pastoral theology in the New Awareness Era shaped by digital disruption. Social media, online worship, virtual counseling, and digital communities have changed how believers relate to God, others, and the church. Using library research and a systematic-critical approach, the study reviews digital pastoral ministry, technology ethics, and spiritual formation. The findings show that churches must preserve spiritual depth and authenticity while developing contextual and ethical ministries. Practical models include online counseling, hybrid worship, virtual prayer groups, digital literacy, and renewed spiritual disciplines. Pastoral theology therefore remains relevant as an inclusive and gospel-rooted force for spiritual transformation in contemporary digital culture.]]>

<![CDATA[The interrelationship between religious values and work ethics has garnered considerable attention worldwide, driven by the notion that religious values can profoundly shape an individual's behaviour and attitude towards work. This study examined the relationship between religious values and employee work ethics in the civil service of Ogun State, Nigeria. A sample of 372 employees was randomly selected from the population using a stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire which measured demographic data, religious values and employee work ethics. Descriptive statistics, simple linear regression analysis and Pearson’s correlation were used to analyze the demographic data and hypotheses formulated at the .05 level of significance. Results revealed significant influence of religious values on employee work ethics (β = .227, t = 10.438, p < .0005) and significant positive relationship between religious values and employee work ethics (r = .227, p < .05). It was subsequently recommended, among other things, that Organizations in the civil service of Ogun State, Nigeria, should consider incorporating religious values into employee development programmes to promote strong work ethics.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to reconstruct Christian homiletics to make it relevant for the empowerment of Christian entrepreneurs in the marketplace. The research highlights the gap between abstract, spiritually focused preaching and the practical needs of Christian businesspeople. Employing a qualitative-theological approach, the study proposes a homiletic framework grounded in Kingdom of God values specifically integrity, stewardship, and social transformation. The findings indicate that this new homiletic approach can (1) enhance intrinsic motivation rooted in divine calling (vocation), (2) integrate business ethics into preaching practices, and (3) encourage the church to serve as an incubator for value-based businesses. The study concludes that: 1. Homiletics must shift from abstract spirituality toward a theology of calling (vocation) that validates entrepreneurial work as an act of worship. 2. Kingdom of God values (integrity, justice, stewardship) must form the core of the sermon's structure and content to shape the congregation's business ethics. 3. Preaching must be practical and empowering, offering guidance for entrepreneurs to navigate market challenges through faith.]]>

<![CDATA[Drug rehabilitation efforts often rely on medical or psychological approaches, which may overlook the spiritual dimension of recovery emphasized by faith-based institutions. This study aims to determine the influence of Christian Therapeutic Mentoring on Residents' Behavioral Change based on 2 Corinthians 5:17 at Yayasan Breakthrough Missions Indonesia (YBMI), a Christian drug rehabilitation center in Sentul, Bogor. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational method. The population consisted of all active residents of YBMI, and a saturated sampling technique was used, involving all 21 residents as respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire consisting of 15 items for each variable and analyzed using validity, reliability, classical assumption, and simple linear regression tests. The results showed that 14 of 15 items on the independent variable and all items on the dependent variable were valid, with both variables demonstrating very high reliability. The regression analysis produced the equation Ŷ = 16.271 + 0.774X with a coefficient of determination of 0.745, and the t-test showed a significant influence (t = 7.441 > t-table 2.093; p = 0.000). These findings conclude that Christian Therapeutic Mentoring contributed 74.5% to residents' behavioral change, and that mentoring integrated with Bible-based spiritual formation plays an important role in supporting residents' renewal toward becoming a new creation in Christ]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the importance of shaping student character through the implementation of teaching strategies that focus not only on academic aspects but also on instilling Christian values. The title of this study is "Christian Value-Based Teaching Strategies and Their Impact on the Character of Grade V Students at SD Pelita Harapan, West Pontianak, Pontianak City." The study aims to examine the implementation of Christian value-based teaching strategies and their influence on the character of Grade V students at SD Pelita Harapan, West Pontianak, Pontianak City. The study population consisted of all 24 Grade V students at SD Pelita Harapan, West Pontianak, Pontianak City. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire comprising 15 statements: 10 items regarding the Christian Value-Based Teaching Strategy variable (X) and 5 items regarding the Student Character variable (Y). The results indicate that Christian value-based teaching strategies have been implemented excellently. This is evidenced by the high percentage of positive responses across all indicators, ranging from 87.50% to 100%. Teachers have demonstrated exemplary conduct in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ and have encouraged students to pray and apply Christian values in their daily lives. Furthermore, the students' character was also rated in the "excellent" category; the majority of students demonstrated honesty and respect for teachers and parents. Consequently, the research hypothesis stating that Christian value-based teaching strategies influence student character is accepted.]]>
