Abstract

ABSTRACT Every individual always requires others and it will form a social interaction among those who influence one another. Children with autism have three problems in their development namely behavior, communication, and social interaction. This study aims to describe a social interaction among the students with autism in inclusive elementary shcool of YBPK Semampir Kediri. This study used a qualitative research approach. It used interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The result of this study indicated that the social interaction that existed among the students with autism including passive interaction was only being able to accept the approach of others and not being able to interact on a reciprocal basis. Judging from the factors that support the formation of social interaction (imitation, suggestion, identification, and sympathy) on the subject of the study, it suggested that social of research subject was still limited and not able to perform mutual communication. It can be said that social interaction among students with autism has been formed, but it was still in the passive or minimal category. Keywords : Social Interaction

Abstract

ABSTRACT The music recited from the instrument could influence the concentration even the children’s intellectual. Therefore, diatonic instrument could be applied to develop the concentration of mild mentally retardation children. In doing observation on 5th February, 2015 in SDLB-C AKW II Surabaya it indicated that the children’s concentrating ability did not fully develop well yet and the range of concentration was relatively short. As the learning ran the children seemed musing and did not care to their teacher. The mild mentally retardation children seemed to have disturbance in concentrating and very often they failed in learning. This research had purpose to analyze the influence of diatonic instrument to develop the concentration level of mild mentally retardation children in SDLB-C AKW II Surabaya. The kind of this research was experiment with Single Subject Research arrangement and A-B design. The subject of this research was mild mentally retardation children in SDLB-C AKW II Surabaya experiencing the concentration disturbance. Based on the analysis done it indicated that baseline phase (A) was done in 5 sessions for 5 minutes meeting. And intervention phase (B) was done in 10 sessions for 10 minutes meeting. Appropriate with the data analysis and the discussion it could be concluded that there was enhancement concentration which was done by the mild mentally retardation children after giving the activity of playing diatonic instrument.   Keywords: Diatonic instrument, concentration

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Speech and communication were one of the disorders experienced by autism children. One of the ways to help solving the problem was that the researcher used Picture Exchange Communication System approach toward speech and communication ability of special need program to autism students in SLB Autism Mutiara Hati Mojokerto. The purpose of this research was to prove whether there was influence of Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) approach toward speech and communication ability of special need program to autism students. This research was implemented by using quantitative approach, pre-experimental arrangement, and one group pretest-posttest design. The sample used numbered 6 autism students in SLB Autism Mutiara Hati Mojokerto. The data collection was done by test and documentation techniques. After the data had been collected, it was then processed by statistic non parametric and then the data was analyzed by sign test formula. The research result indicated that there was enhancement of pretest average value i.e. 48,7 and posttest 70,2 while the result of data analysis indicated that Zh value was 2,05 and Z table 5% was 1,96 so the interpretation was Zh > Zt. It could be concluded that Ha was accepted it meant that there was influence of Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) application toward speech and communication ability of special need program to autism students in SLB Mutiara Hati Mojokerto. Abstract

Abstract Mid mentally retardation children in SLBC Dharma Wanita Lebo Sidoarjo had obstacle in handling, holding, getting a pinch, tearing, and sticking, they required to be led in order that their fine motoric ability enhanced by doing sticking simple kolase activity. The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of sticking simple kolase activity toward fine motoric ability of mid mentally retardation in SLBC Dharma Wanita Lebo Sidoarjo. This research method used quantitative approach of pre experiment kind with “pre-experimental design (non design)” , “one group pretest – posttest design”, the data was collected by using test method (action test), observation, and documentation. Observation was used to obtain the data of fine motoric ability to mid mentally retardation children before and after giving treatment while the data of documentation was as the support or proof data that the research was really done. The research result indicated that to the initial observation / the average pretest obtained was 55,53 and after giving treatment, the final observation / the average observation obtained was 90,48. It indicated that there was significant enhancement. Zh value = 2,20 was greater than critic value 5% Zt = +1,96 which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. So it could be concluded that there was influence of sticiking simple kolase activity toward fine motoric ability of mid mentally retardation children in SLBC Dharma Wanita Lebo Sidoarjo.   Keywords: simple kolase, fine motoric

Abstract

Abstract : There are several difficulties faced by mild-mental-retarded students in a social learning on the aspect of economic activity places. The field trip method is applied as a learning strategy with 70% success indicator. The research is aimed to (1) describe the activities of children in learning the material social studies to know places of economic activity with a field method is used; (2) describe the learning outcome social studies on the material to know the places of economic activity with the  4 mild mental retarded children in elementary special school of Banyuwangi through the field trip method. The research method used was a class action research applying Kemmis model with include observation and test collection method. Based on of the research, the result on first cycle was less satisfied. The average value of child’s activities is 52,9% achieved, and the average value of 57,5% of children's learning outcomes. The second cycle result was the average value of chold’s activities is 68,8%, achieved, and the learning outcomes of children reached 76,25%. It showed the average result of the child's learning outcomes specified above the defined minimum completeness criteria, which was 70 and above, achieved. The conclusion stated is the application of a field trip method can improve learning outcomes social studies on to know material places the economic activities of mild mental retarded children in elementary special school of Banyuwangi. Abstract

ABSTRACT Humans as social beings are required to perform relationship or social interaction for survival to meet the demands of life in groups. This is also true for students with visual impairment who are studying in inclusive school. This environment is very different from the special school environment, which students with visual impairment are interact only with the like. While in inclusive school, students are required to interact in an environment which is actually different from itself. Based on this, the researchers took the study focused on how the social interaction of students with visual impairment in learning in SMAN 10 Surabaya. Thus, this study aims to obtain data and information about the social interaction of students with visual impairments in learning during in the school environment. Source of data in this study is students with visual impairment, students alert (regular students), teacher, shadow teacher, library staff, and principal. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collected through the interview process. Results of the study found that; (1) social interaction of students with visual impairments to alert students, teachers, library staff, and principals in learning in general can be expressed well. The level of student interaction with the visually impaired student and teacher alert occurs is higher than with principals and library staff; (2) The interaction of students with visual impairment with sighted students realized in the form of cooperation, positive competition, as well as the correspondence themselves; (3) Broadly speaking, students with visual impairment have the same academic achievement with sighted students in general, but has a non-academic achievements which tends to be better; (4) some problems in the social interaction with the teacher in the learning process, teaching materials which have not been modified, instructional media that do not support, facilities and infrastructure are lacking support, as well as the response of the majority of citizens who are less concerned school; (5) Efforts made them student with visual impairment, more active interaction in the form of question and answer with the teacher, through a peer tutor, trying to borrow a record company; and try to show the attitude of open interaction and behave well, thereby eliminating the negative stigma about private school community that is always dependent on other people.   Keywords:, social interaction,belajar

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Deaf children are the children who are lack or loss of ability to hear. The deaf children are still having trouble in writing, compiling basic sentence structure or SVO (SPO) due to the low of language possessed. The study aims to investigate the effect of direct learning model on the deaf children’s basic sentences writing skill grade 1 SDLB-B Karya Mulia II Surabaya. This research was a quantitative research, with pre-experimental and one group pretest-posttest design. The data was collected using a test to investigate the results of basic sentence writing skill before and after the treatment. The data was analyzed using test formula sign (sign test). The results showed an improvement on the score of basic sentence writing skill. The pretest score was 28.83. It changed to 45 after the posttest. Z table 5% while testing two sides was 1.96. ZH value was 2.05, so that the null hypothesis was rejected and the working hypothesis was accepted. To conclude, “There is a significant effect on the use of direct learning model on The Deaf Children’s Basic Sentence Writing Skill Grade 1 SDLB-B Karya Mulia II Surabaya”.   Keywords: direct learning model, writing a basic sentence

Abstract

ABSTRACT Each person, blind people also, have certain potential which able to developed as their life skill, one of it was singing skill.  For developing that skill we used appropriate method, it was vocal practicing. The purpose of this research was to know the implementation of vocal practicing method toward blind student’s singing skill at SMALB-A YPAB Surabaya. This research was use quantitative approach, pre eksperimental researche with one group pre test-post test design.  A number of students grades XI was involved in this research. Data was collect by test method and use sign test nonparametric statistic analysis. Based on pre test-post test  data analysis it obtained positive change. Mean score on pre test was 49.998, and rised 82.224, after given intervention  during 8 meeting. Research data showed n=5, with X= 4,5, = 5% (0,05),  and µ = 2,5 which analysed by sign test method. Then,  Z count was (Zh) = 1.79 and compared with two side sign test 1.64, so Zh > Z tabel, it was 1.79 > 1.64 which interpreted that, there was effect of vocal practicing method toward blind student’s singing skill  in SMALB-A YPAB Surabaya.    Key Word : singing skill, vocal practicing method.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   The development of cognitif ability is aimed to help children to comprehend the lesson. Learning of knowing colours can be done by using natural enviromen media. Natural enviroment media is all thing derived from nature. The enviromen media means planst that produce natural dyes. This research has  an aim to prove effect of natural enviroment media to cognitif ability of autistic children at educational foundation mutiara hati mojokerto. This methode or research used quantitatif approach. Data were collectid by using test and documentations. Test were administratered to autistic children before and after treatment while documentations as supporting data or prove that research was actually conducted. Result of the research was actually conducted. Result of the research indicated that on the pre tests the everage value was 24, 96 and after treatment or post test was 70,91. This indicates that there are significant changes. Score zh=2,20>zt = 1,96 it could be concluded that ho is rejected and ha is accepted so there is effect of natural enviroment media to cognitif ability of autism children at mutiara hati educational mojokerto.   Keyword : cognitif, natural enviroment media
