Abstract

ABSTRACT                    Based on observations in SLB Pandaan stated that, VIII grade deaf students do not know how to make a simple batik. The purpose of this research is to apply the method of demonstration to improve the skills of batik making it simple for deaf students of class VIII SLBN Pandaan Pasuruan. This research is a classroom action research using action research model of Kemmis and Taggart. Techniques of data collection is done by using observation and tests, while the data were analyzed using descriptive data analysis. This research was conducted in three cycles. This is because the first cycle, there are still many shortcomings then resumed in cycle 2 and cycle 3. Implementation of the demonstration method possible for deaf students in the eighth grade SLB Pandaan has a basic concept to learn how to make a simple batik. With the results of a study conducted by researchers showed an increase after the action was held in cycle 1, cycle 2 and cycle 3. The improvement can be seen from the students who can not make this into a simple batik can make this simple batik correctly. It can be concluded that the use motode demonstration can be applied to the material of batik making it simple for deaf students Keywords: Batik simpler, method demonstrations, Deaf

Abstract

ABSTRACT Blind people have barriers to the sense of vision. The barriers of the function of the sense of vision affect the teaching and learning activities. Especially of the blind children of TKLB. These children have problem in recognizing numbers. Blind children need creative and appropriate learning, Such as contextual learning in which the teachers link the learning materials with the children’s environment. The objective of this study is to determine whether or not there is an effect of the implementation of contextual learning on the ability to recognize braille numbers of the blind children. This study used quantitative methods, namely pre-Experimental Design and One using Group Pre-test Post-Test Design. The data were collected using test. The data were analyzed using non-parametric statistics, sign test with n=6 and α=5%. The results show that the average score of pre-test is 30 and post-test is 88. The results of data analysis show that Z observed (2,05)> Z table 5% (1,96). It is concluded that Ha is accepted dan Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant effect of the implementation of contextual learning on the ability to recognize Braille numbers of the blind children of TKLB of SLB-A YPAB Surabaya.   Keywords: Contextual Learning, Braille Numbers.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Autism children had motoric hindrance in the form of the appearance of stereotype behavior (such as clapping and moving body), impulsivity, and hyperactive or adversely hypoactive. In addition there was motoric coordination retarded, tiptoe walking, clumsiness, could play with the peers, lack of attitude exactness and body movement, twisting, very hyperactive, jumping and flapping hands, etc. so the basic movement of locomotor was limited compared with the peers. The basic movement of locomotor was the movement which was done by human in general such as walking, running, jumping, leaping, etc. Every human always did this movement in every activity. To develop the basic movement of locomotor ability the autism children needed games modified exactly to enhance the basic movement of locomotor ability. This research had used obstacle-block game as the exact game to enhance the basic movement of locomotor ability for autism children. This research used quantitative approach with pre experiment kind, and used “One group pretest – posttest design”, with 6 autism students in SDN 7 Sidokumpul Gresik as the subject, each of them had initial: MI, MR, HH, AN, IA, and RD. This research used the design through a test before giving treatment (O1) once and after giving treatment (O2) twice, so there was comparison between O1 and O2 to know the treatment effectiveness X, the treatment was given 8 times. The data obtained was analyzed by statistic non parametric with sign test. From the result of statistic test in the research of the influence of obstacle-block game toward the basic movement of locomotor ability to autism children in SDN 7 Sidokumpul Gresik, it indicated that Zh value obtained was 2,05 greater than crisis value 5% i.e. 1,96 so Ho (null hypothesis) was refused and Ha (work hypothesis) was accepted. The work hypothesis above was proven that “The obstacle-block game influenced toward the basic movement of locomotor ability to autism children in SDN 7 Sidokumpul Gresik”.   Keywords: Basic movement of locomotor, obstacle-block game

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research had purpose to observe whether there was influence of multisensory articulation method toward the ability of beginning reading-writing Al-Quran letters with At-Tartil model to hearing impairment students in SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. The approach of this research was quantitative descriptive. The research kind was experiment with Single Subject Research (SSR) arrangement of A-B-A design. The research subject was six hearing impairment children in the third class of SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo who had difficulty in reading-writing Al-Quran letters at beginning. The time implication research was 14 times meeting with 3 times baseline (A1), 8 times intervention (B), and 3 times repeating baseline (A2). The technique of data collection in this research used technique test and observation. The research result indicated the average score accumulation of baseline phase (A1), it was continued to intervention phase (B), and it was done repeating baseline (A2) to the ability of beginning reading-writing Al-Quran with VY result which had the average baseline score (A1) i.e. 17,3; to intervention phase (B) i.e. 24,25; and to repeating baseline phase (A2) i.e. 30. NB had the average baseline score (A1) i.e. 19,3; to intervention phase (B) i.e. 29,87; and to repeating baseline phase (A2) i.e 32,67. DN had the average score of baseline (A1) i.e. 20,3; to intervention phase (B) i.e. 24; and to repeating baseline phase (A2) i.e. 30,3. DV had the average score of baseline (A1) i.e. 16,67; to intervention phase (B) i.e. 24,87; and to repeating baseline phase (A2) i.e. 30. FN had the average score baseline (A1) i.e. 18; to intervention phase (B) i.e. 25,12; and repeating baseline phase (A2 i.e. 30. RZ has the average score of baseline (A1) i.e. 20; to intervention phase (B) i.e. 27,62; and repeating baseline phase (A2) i.e. 31,3 so they could be interpreted that the initial ability to baseline phase (A1) could be enhanced through intervention (B) with showing the test result of repeating baseline (A2) which had enhancement. Based on the data it could be concluded that there was influence of multisensory articulation method toward beginning reading-writing Al-Quran letters with At-Tartil chapter 1 to hearing impairment students in SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.   Keywords: Multisensory articulation, reading-writing Al-Quran, At-Tartil model

Abstract

ABSTRACT Communication was a dynamic process which used language as the main equipment at the moment an individual was doing social relationship with the other individuals which involved feeling expression, conveying idea, willing, needs, and purpose inside. Autism itself had obstacle such as behavior, communication, and social. In the communication there was non-verbal communication. Based on the problem, the autism children required PECS (Picture Exchange communication System) method. The method of PECS (Picture Exchange communication System) was an approach to train communication using verbal symbols. The purpose of this research was to know whether there was influence of PECS (Picture Exchange communication System) method toward non-verbal communication to autism children in YP PG/TK Puri Mutiara Bunda Sidoarjo or not. The method of this research used was quantitative pre experiment kind. The design used one group pre-test post-test with 6 subjects of autism children. The technique of data collection used was treatment test. The test was done to obtain the quantitative data about non-verbal ability using PECS (Picture Exchange communication System) method. The research result was proven that non-verbal communication ability using PECS (Picture Exchange communication System) method was obtained ZH value = 2,05. Because ZH value was 2,05 (above / greater than 1,96) so it could be concluded that Ho (Null hypothesis) was refused and Ha (Work hypothesis) was accepted. If Ha was accepted it meant there was influence of using PECS (Picture Exchange communication System) method toward non-verbal communication ability to autism children in YP PG/TK Puri Mutiara Bunda Sidoarjo.     Keywords: PECS (Picture Exchange communication System) method, non-verbal communication

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research was formed background by the importance to recognize direction to mild mentally retardation children so they were not wrong in interpreting the command. Mild mentally retardation children had so low intellectual ability that it made them find difficulty in thinking an abstract concept including the direction concept. As the children generally, the mild mentally retardation children were also interested in games. Therefore, to develop recognizing direction ability the mild mentally retardation children were used rhythm movement game. This research was limited in recognizing right and left, and front and back directions through game with involving the part of body such as right and left hands. This research had purpose to prove the influence of rhythm movement game toward recognizing direction ability to mild mentally retardation children in SLB Al-Chusnaini Sidoarjo. The kind of the research used was pre-experiment. The research design used one group pretest and post test. The subjects in this research were the first class of mild mentally retardation children in SLB Al-Chusnaini Sidoarjo. The technique used for collecting data was observation and action test. The data analysis used statistic non parametric with sign test. The research result indicated that there was value enhancement of recognizing direction ability between pre-test and post-test. The result of data analysis indicated that ZH = 2,04 > + 1,96 this meant that there was influence of rhythm movement game toward recognizing direction ability to mild mentally retardation children in SLB Al-Chusnaini Sidoarjo.     Keywords: rhythm movement game, direction

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research about recitation method with dressing frame set media toward self-guide ability to autism children in SLB Harmoni was formed background by the ability of autism children in self-guide using latching school uniform which needed to be developed so the researcher gave interesting and fun activity through recitation method with dressing frame set media. The recitation method with dressing frame set media was not applied yet before in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo. The purpose of this research was to prove whether there was influence in learning self-guide wearing and latching school uniform using recitation method with dressing frame set in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo. The method of this research used quantitative approach and the data was collected by using initial observation, final observation, and documentation. The initial and final observations were used to obtain the data of wearing and latching school uniform ability to autism children before and after giving treatment while the documentation was used as the support data or a proof that the research was really done. The research result indicated that before research the average obtained was 47,2 and after research the average obtained was 70,6. In addition, the value of Tcounting = 0 was smaller than Ttable = 2 with significant level 5%. If Tcounting < Ttable it could be concluded that there was influence of recitation method with dressing frame set media toward self-guide ability to autism children in SLB Harmoni Sidoarjo.     Keywords: Recitation, dressing frame set, self-guide

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was formed background by the importance of developing cognitive ability to understand the measurement concept to early age autism children. The ability of understanding measurement concept, one of them was big-small measurement belonged to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo still needed to be developed. It appeared to the ability of differentiating things based on big-small measurement, classifying things based on big-small measurement and sequencing things from big to small measurement. Through learning model of beam central modification, autism children were actively stimulated to do studying while playing activity and it gave freedom to the children to play freely on beam central modification. This purpose had purpose to prove the influence of learning model of beam central modification toward cognitive ability to understand the measurement concept to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo. This research used quantitative approach, with pre-experimental kind, and one group pretest – posttest design. The samples of this research were all autism children of group A in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo numbering 7 children whose ability in understanding the measurement concept still needed to be developed. The technique of data collection was collected using observation and documentation. The technique of data analysis applied statistic non parametric with Wilcoxon match pairs test. The research result indicated that there was enhancement value of cognitive ability to understand the measurement concept in initial observation or pretest was 49,73 becoming 74,07 in final observation or posttest. In addition, the research result also indicated Tcounted = 0 was smaller than Ttable = 2 with significant level 5%. If Tcounted < Ttable (0 < 2) it indicated that there was influence of learning model of beam central modification toward cognitive ability to understand the measurement concept to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo.     Keywords: Beam central modification, measurement concept

Abstract

                                                                       ABSTRACT            Based  on  observation   in  SLB ( extraordinary  school ) Darul Ulum  Jombang ,states  that  4 th graders who have  got average  mentally disablet got difficulties in mathematics  lesson  in the part  of adding numbers. The purpose of this study was to determine theincrease of ability in summation of integers from one to ten through the puzzle  media on average mental disability children in fourth grade in SLB Darul Ulum  Jombang. This research aims to implement  puzzle  media to  the  increasing  ability of  adding  integer numbers from 1 to 10 for average level mentally disabled of 4 th graders.          This   research   is  a   classroom   action    research   by   using   Kemmis   and  Taggart model Data collection technique is done by using observation and experiment. The  research was conducted  by using 2 cycles.Each  sycle  consists of  3 meetings. In 2 nd cycle 3 rd meeting ,it gets the result about increasing ability of adding integer numbers. Mathematics  teaching   and   learning   process  by using  puzzle  media  not  only  benefits to train or exercise the stability of counting but also become a applying media for mentally disablet of 4 th graders the ability of counting,but also becomes a playing media for mentally disabled of 4 th graders.          Therefore,it can be concluded that the counting ability in adding numbers increases if the  puzzle media is used. Abstract

Abstract This research had purpose to expose the implementation of transition program to autism children implemented by SMPN 4 Sidoarjo with the principle of Direktorat PKLK Dikdas. Based on the introduction study on December 5th, 2015 there was indication that the transition program to autism students in the school involved into school extra-curricular program. This research used the descriptive method of qualitative approach and the technique of data collection used observation, interview, and documentation while the data analysis of descriptive qualitative used the phase of data reduction, data display, and verification / concluding. This research result indicated that in implementing transition program for autism students, integrating transition program was done by establishing structured extra-curricular and the program of self developing in the form of handicraft and clothing science i.e. twice in a week for 2 hours per week and when the students got leisure time while food science involved in sub-subject matter of vocational implemented once in a week suitable with the plan of learning implementation which was arranged by the teacher. To support the transition program, the school had tried to cooperate with industry and trade world (DUDI) i.e. shoes trade but it did not get any response yet from the DUDI. The evaluation of transition program for autism students was orally done by special education teacher (GPK) and the partners. The evaluation established by GPK was uncertain depending on the development of the autism students during the transition program given.   Keywords: Transition program,  inclusive school
