Abstract

ABSTRACT   Reading was one of the aspects of speech skill which should be mastered by either general students or special need children, included difficulty learning children. Difficulty learning students were those who had disorder in learning process influenced by either internal or external factors. For learning difficulty children, mastering reading ability was not easy thing because they had disorder in understanding process or integrating the components of alphabets, words, and sentences. It required a method which could stimulate the learning modality. The Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile (VAKT) method was used by interactive video media and counterfeit alphabets. This research had purpose to analyze whether there was influence of VAKT method toward reading ability to learning difficulty children in SDN Masangan Kulon Sukodono Sidoarjo. The research kind used was pre-experiment. The design used: one group pre test and post test. The method used to collect the data was test and documentation. For data analysis, the research used analysis technique of statistic non parametric with wilcoxon match pair test. The result after using VAKT method indicated that Zh = 2,20 > Zt = 1,96 it indicated that “there was significant influence of VAKT method toward reading ability to learning difficulty children”.   Keywords: Reading ability, VAKT method

Abstract

ABSTRACT            Career guidance is a service process for child have the need of special in order to child gets the picture he/she, recognize education types, and recognize [job/activity] world until from information – information that obtained/got expected can take choice and take a decision in accordance with it-self situation. In this research career guidance execution for independence is career guidance service that has been executed or executed in accordance with systematic guidance of career guidance execution cover supervisor approach, technique of individual understanding, technique and approach way, and technique of evaluation to student independence of deaf so that can create independence in conducted job either when career guidance execution or independence that have been formed after career guidance execution. Systematic and optimal career guidance Execution is expected will have an in with student independence of deaf in taking choice after graduate from SMALB in accordance with enthusiasm and talent. In career guidance execution existed constraint factor that can pursue process of career guidance execution. In consequence,, the party of school must give solution to overcome constraint factor that can pursue process of career guidance execution and shall always improve effectiveness implementation career guidance in order to student of deaf more self-supporting in takes correct decision to select its career. Research Target this is the for describe execution, constraint factor, and solution in overcoming career guidance constraint for student independence of deaf in SMALB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya. This Research uses method descriptive with approach qualitative. Base analysis of research data is obtained/got research result that career guidance execution have been executed properly, that thing proven by available its guidance of career guidance execution that systematics in SMALB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya. Brief Guidance career guidance execution is referred [as] cover supervisor approach, technique of individual understanding, technique and approach way, and technique of evaluation. In every constraint factor that pursue career guidance execution, the party of school can give best solution to overcome constraint factor is referred [as]. Abstract

ABSTRACT Blindness had impact to children’s ability in developing self potential in socializing therefore they required self developing by giving learning life skill before socializing (pre vocational). It was done in order that the blind could live autonomously after socializing and having proper job and could support their life. The job done was not only a massage or a music player but also other jobs. In this case, the children were given learning program of life skill education of making etawa cycle ice cream to enhance their pre vocational ability. The research purpose was to enhance pre vocational of the blind students in SMPLB Bhakti Wanita Lumajang. This research used research arrangement of one group pre test – post test design, with 6 blind students they were 1 total and 5 low vision characteristics. The data analysis of this research used statistic non parametric with sign test kind. From the result of data analysis it could be concluded that the counting number of ZH = 2,05, the number was then compared with critic value 5% ZH = +1,96. The result indicated ZH > 1,96 which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so it could be stated that “there was influence of using life skill education toward pre vocational skill of making etawa cycle ice cream to the blind students in SMPLB Bhakti Wanita Lumajang.   Keywords: Life skill education, pre vocational

Abstract

Abstract : Learning disabilities students are students who have neurological disorders that are manifested in the inability written and oral expression, one result of students learning disabilities is arranging sentences. The aim of this study is to improve the learning outcomes arranging sentences skills through cooperative learning Type Think Pair Share with Word Sticks Media in first grade students Wedi Inclusion Elementary School. The approach of this study is qualitative descriptive with a class action methods. The class action methods draft (Kemmis & Taggart, 2008) is used and implemented in the second cycle of the procedure: (a) planning; (b) carry out the action; c) observations; d) evaluation and reflection. The data were collected with a non-participant observation technique. The analysis of data using flow techniques. The findings of the student activities in arranging declatarive sentence, introgative sentece and imperative sentence outcomes construct a sentence in cycle 1 students with average grade is 60, increase in cycle 2 with average grade of 80 so it can be concluded that the cooperative learning type Think Pair Share with Words Stick media can be used as a learning strategy for student with learning dissabilities in the first graders because it proved successful in improving building outcomes a sentence.   Keywords: Arranging Sentence, Think Pair Share

Abstract

ABSTRACT   One of the causes of low Indonesian learning result to mild mentally retardation children was the low of beginning readingability which appeared in reading syllables, words, and simple sentences. To solve this problem, this research used match to match model. The purpose was to enhance beginning reading ability through learning model of match to match to mild mentally retardation in SDN inclusion Wedoro Waru Sidoarjo. This research applied qualitative approach and class treatment which was implemented in 2 cycles. The data collection was done by observation and test techniques. The data analysis used flow technique including data reduction, data display, and verification. The result of beginning reading research indicated significant enhancement. The score of assessment result was showed base on the cycles. The enhancement of reading activity process by matching picture to picture, picture to writing, writing to writing increased averagely to cycle I: 30%, cycle 2: 40%. The enhancement of reading ability of mentally retardation appeared in pronouncing reading, fluent, articulateness of reading syllables, words and sentences enhanced averagely to cycle I: 32% cycle 2: 40%. The words and sentences comprehension enhanced, cycle I: 10% cycle 2: 20%. Based on the research result it could be recommended that learning model of match to match could be used as one of the strategies to enhance beginning reading of mild mentally retardation children. Abstract

AbstractMid mentally retardation children in SLB Merdeka Sidoarjo had difficulty in learning mathematics they needed the exact learning strategy to enhance the result of learning mathematics. The learning strategy which would be use was the strategy of expository learning with video media. The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of expository learning strategy with video media toward the result of learning mathematics to mid mentally retardation children in SLB Merdeka Sidoarjo.The method of this research used the quantitative approach of pre experiment kind with “pre experimental design (non design)”, “one group pre test – post test design”, the data collected by using test method (writing test and oral test), observation and documentation, observation was used to gain the data of the ability of learning mathematics result to mid mentally retardation children before giving treatment and after giving treatment while the data of documentation was as the supporting data or proof that the research was really done.The research result indicated that the initial observation / pre test obtained was averagely 203,2 and after giving treatment the last observation / pos test obtained was averagely 316,2. It indicated that there was significant enhancement. Zh value = 2,20 was greater than critic value 5% Zt = +1,96 which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. So it could be concluded that there was influence of learning expository strategy with video media toward the result of learning mathematics to mid mentally retardation children in SLB Merdeka Sidoarjo.Keywords: expository strategi, the result of leraning mathematics

Abstract

ABSTRACT Scrutinizing skill was one of the aspects in speech. Scrutinizing skill with attention and comprehension was so important for the children’s development of speech skill because most of teaching-learning process in the school used oral language. Scrutinizing skill was experienced by the autism children with disturbance in receptive language skill and tended to stand out in using language for communicating to others. If the disturbance of scrutinizing to the autism children was not handled they would have experienced disturbance during learning Indonesian lesson. The purpose of this research was to observe the scrutinizing skill of autism children before and after giving intervention using Brain Gym method. This research used Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B-A design. The time used was 32 times meeting i.e. 9 times meeting to baseline phase (A), 18 times meeting to baseline phase (B), 5 times meeting to baseline phase (A2). The techniques of data collection used were observation and documentation. The technique of data analysis used was visual analysis inside condition and among condition. The scrutinizing skill of autism children in SLB Al Falah Sembayat Manyar Gresik before giving intervention only 5 times emerged the ability in scrutinizing which included listening ability, understanding ability, and responding ability. However, after giving intervention in the form of giving Brain Gym method in learning, the trend experienced enhancement in steps i.e. 16-19 times emerged the scrutinizing ability of autism children which included listening, understanding, and responding to each meeting. The research result indicated that to baseline phase (A1) the average frequency appearance of tending behavior showed 6. Intervention phase (B) indicated 17. And to baseline repetition phase (A2) tended 12. The subject percentage to overlap data of intervention phase (B) to baseline (A) was 0% while the percentage to overlap data of intervention phase (B) to baseline repetition phase (A2) indicated 0%. It could be stated that the application of Brain Gym method could enhance scrutinizing ability to autism children in SLB Al Fatah Sembayat Manyar Gresik.   Keywords: Scrutinizing ability, Brain Gym

Abstract

ABSTRACT Deaf students are unable to hear. They use their sense of vision sight to obtain information. To do this, they rely on a visual learning. The cutting ability of deaf students can be optimally developed as they have potential in doing visual tasks. Direct instruction model is a teaching approach which is able to help deaf students study the basic skills and obtain information based on the structured procedure. This research aims to determine the effect of direct instruction model on the ability of deaf students to cutting in class VI SLB B Karya Mulya Surabaya. The results of data analysis by Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test are Zobserved (Zh) = 2.20 with  Ztables 5%= 1.96, as Zh> Ztable is 2.20 larger than 1.96. It means that there is a significant influence of the direct instruction model on the ability of deaf students to cut in class VI SLB B Karya Mulya Surabaya. Abstract

ABSTRACT The ability to make soybean milk is an individual’s ability in doing soybean processing products. It is not only able for consumption but also for prospective business. It is not easy to train students with visual impairment to be independent. Being, independent, it is expected that students with visual impairment develop their knowledge and skills in social life. Student with visual impairment is an individual whose eyesight is not normally functioning receiver in daily activities as on normal people do. In giving assignment to make soybean milk, teacher must apply a learning model that suits the needs and conditions of these students. In this case, an interesting, varied and concrete learning strategy is needed to facility students’ learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the ability of students with visual impairment to make soybean milk before and after the get intervemtions using Project Based Learning. The pre-experimental approach was applied in this research. The researchs spent eight meetings with six times interventions. The research design was one group pretest posttest design, seven students were selected as the research sample. The data collection techniques were test, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques was non-parametric statistics using sign test. The analysis showed that there was improvement in the scores of students with visual impairment from the pretest score 52,86, to the post test score 85,00. The result of the study which were analyzed by using sign test formula obtained Zobserved (Zh) = 2.27, while the Ztable with 5% significance for two-sided test is 1.96. Therefore, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted proven by (1.96 <2.27> 1.96). Based on these data, it can be concluded tha the Project Based Learning Model (Project Based Learning) affected the students with visual impairment ability to make soybean milk in SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya.   Keywords: Project Based Learning, the ability to make soybean milk

Abstract

ABSTRACT Pre-vocational skills are associated with skill that can bring rewards or income. Since the blind students have barriers in pre-vocational skills that these barriers have an impact on the results of vocational unfavorable skills. Blind students, whose vision (both eyes) do not function as a channel receiver of information in daily activities like normal people. Referring to the students’un optimal pre-vocational skills, so the stimulus is needed to make pre-vocational skills become properly and optimally. The purpose of this research is to improve blind students’ pre-vocational skills in SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya. The research used pre-experimental Design, using One-Group Pre-Test and Post-Test design. The subjects of this research were 6 students. There were 6 meetings with 4 intervention in this research. The data were collected by using test and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by non-parametric statistical analysis using sign test. The result showed that there was increasing score of blind students’ vocational skills that was 57,91 in pre-test, and 82,50 in post-test for average. From result was analyzed by using sign test, it was found that Zobserved (ZH) was 2.251, while Ztable at 5% significant level for both sides was (Zt=1.96). Therefore, Ho is refused and Ha is accepted (1.96<2.251>1.96). Based on the research result, it can be concluded that there was the influence of salty eggs training on blind students’ pre-vocational skill of eighth grade in SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya   Keywords: Pre-Vocational Skills, Making Salty Eggs
