Abstract

This research is motivated by the high poverty rate in Padang Pariaman Regency, which reached 26.93 thousand people in 2023. Zakat, as a sharia financial instrument, has significant potential in empowering the mustahik (zakat recipient) economy. One of the initiatives run by BAZNAS Padang Pariaman Regency is the Z-Mart program, which aims to improve the welfare of mustahik through micro business development. However, the implementation of this program still experiences various challenges, such as less intensive assistance, limited mustahik financial management skills, and unstrategic business locations. Based on this, this study examines two main issues, namely the role of Z-Mart in improving the welfare of mustahiks and the application of empowerment principles in managing the program. The purpose of this study is to analyze the contribution of Z-Mart in improving the welfare of mustahik in Padang Pariaman Regency and evaluate the implementation of empowerment principles in this program. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews with mustahik and program assistants, field observations, and documentation studies from BAZNAS Padang Pariaman Regency. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Z-Mart plays a positive role in improving the welfare of mustahiks, among others through increased income, improved family health conditions, and the ability to save. However, the program still faces obstacles such as the lack of sustainable mentoring, the low managerial capacity of mustahiks, and less profitable business locations. Although empowerment principles such as equality, participation, independence, and sustainability have been implemented, further strengthening is needed so that the program can run optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several problems that will be found in Sanjai Tuah Sakator such as unstable expenses & less variety of flavors compared to competing sanjai sellers, & insignificant profit percentage. The type of research that will be used in this study is field research using qualitative descriptive research methods. The techniques that will be used in data collection research are observation, interviews, documentation, & questionnaire collection. Furthermore, the research instrument is made based on Schumpeter's innovation theory to see product & packaging innovations that will be carried out by Sanjai Tuah Sakato. Innovation will be implemented by the Sanjai Tuah Sakato Store including changes to the packaging & introduction of new flavors. For new packaging, innovation will be carried out by providing attractive labels in the form of addresses, telephone numbers, brand names, & compositions on the packaging. This is an innovation on packaging that was previously only plain clear plastic. Furthermore, for flavor innovation, namely adding new flavors such as green chili, sweet and spicy, & roasted corn. This flavor variation adds to the existing flavor variants such as original, sweet, and spicy. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that product innovation at the Sanjai Tuah Sakato Store has had a significant positive impact on sales volume. The majority of respondents expressed a very high level of satisfaction with the new product, including its quality, packaging, taste, and service. They felt the new product met their expectations and planned to repurchase and recommend it to others. Furthermore, sales data before and after the innovation showed a substantial increase, with the Sanjai 12,000 product experiencing the largest increase of 17.10%.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy has changed the consumption landscape of Indonesian society, especially among Generation Z, who are very familiar with technology and social media culture. Interest in halal products, Islamic financial services, and spiritual lifestyles shows a positive trend. However, at the same time, digital convenience presents new challenges in the form of impulsive consumption, hedonistic behavior, and increased use of paylater facilities that potentially contain elements of usury. This study analyzes the consumption behavior of Generation Z through the perspective of Islamic economics, utilizing the theory of halal-thayyib consumption, the principle of moderation, maqaṣid al-syari‘ah, and fiqh rules in assessing the economic behavior of the younger generation. Through a qualitative approach based on literature review, this study found that Generation Z has two tendencies: first, awareness of halal products, sustainability, and consumption ethics; second, vulnerability to consumerism due to digital culture. The study concludes that Islamic financial literacy strategies, strengthening the Islamic fintech ecosystem, and public policies based on justice and maslahah are needed so that Generation Z's consumption behavior is in line with Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Total Asset Turnover (TATO) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on Return on Assets (ROA) at PT Astra International Tbk for the period 2014–2023. The research method employed is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The analytical techniques used include descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, simple and multiple linear regression tests, and hypothesis, correlation analysis, and the coefficient of determination (R²) test. The results show that Total Asset Turnover (TATO) has a significant partial effect on Return on Assets (ROA), as indicated by a significance value smaller than 0.05 (0,006 < 0,05) and a tvalue greater than the ttable (3,906 > 2,36462). In contrast, Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) does not have a significant partial effect on Return on Assets (ROA), as the significance value is greater than 0,05 (0,064 > 0,05) and the tvalue is smaller than the ttable (-2,195 < 2,36462). Meanwhile, the F-test results indicate that Total Asset Turnover (TATO) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) simultaneously affect Return on Assets (ROA), with a significance value of 0,017 < 0,05 and an Fvalue of 7,630, which is greater than the Ftable (7,630 > 4,74). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) test shows an R-square value of 0,686, indicating that TATO and DER jointly influence ROA by 59,6%, while the remaining 40,4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

The issue of turnover among Generation Z has become a particular concern in the world of work, especially in relation to the grand goal of the Golden Generation 2045. This study aims to examine the role of job satisfaction and presenteeism in the relationship between work stress and turnover intention among Generation Z in Karanganyar Regency. Using a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques based on SmartPLS, involving 87 Generation Z respondents working in several sectors. The results show that work stress has a significant effect on turnover intention through presenteeism and does not directly affect turnover intention. Meanwhile, job satisfaction can act as a retention factor to reduce turnover intention. These findings support Herzberg's two-factor theory and enrich the literature on Generation Z's work behavior, providing practical implications for human resource management in designing strategies to retain young employees. This study also highlights the importance of creating a work environment that supports mental health and work-life balance to reduce the risk of presenteeism and turnover.

Abstract

The development of the manufacturing industry in the digital era requires organizations to adapt through digital transformation supported by employee digital skills and organizational innovation culture in order to improve employee performance. This study aims to understand the meaning of digital transformation, digital skills, and organizational innovation culture in shaping employee performance in the manufacturing industry. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review of scientific books, national and international journal articles, and relevant institutional reports on the research theme. The results and discussion show that digital transformation is interpreted as a change in work systems and technology-based human resource management patterns, digital skills play a role as the main capacity of employees in operating and utilizing technology effectively, and organizational innovation culture functions as a social environment that encourages adaptation, collaboration, and continuous learning. These three aspects interact with each other and together shape employee performance that is more adaptive, productive, and competitive. The conclusion of this study confirms that improving employee performance in the manufacturing industry requires alignment between digital transformation strategies, strengthening employee digital skills, and internalizing an organizational culture of innovation in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This journal's exegetical-theological study will explain the antithesis between authentic spiritual passion and shallow emotionalism using a systematic analysis of Revelation 3:14–22. The characterization of the Laodicean church as "lukewarm" serves as a theological metaphor for faith corrupted by self-sufficiency and materialism, which rest on spiritual inadequacy and divine disapproval. Using a grammatical-historical hermeneutic system, this study explains the socio-economic landscape of Laodicea during the first century and interprets Christ's observation (v. 18) alongside the eschatological call to covenant fellowship in v. 20. The study also establishes empirical relevance with the context of contemporary Indonesian churches, where rapid urbanization, entrenched consumerism, and postmodern relativism often replace substantive commitment with transient affective experiences. Therefore, this study proposes increased pastoral rigor, exegetically grounded homiletics, and authentic evangelism strategies to foster genuine spiritual vitality in modern congregational governance. It is expected that this analysis will contribute significantly to the church’s mission of spiritual renewal amidst contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of recruitment and training on employee work productivity at PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Moutong. The research background is based on the role of productivity as an indicator of company efficiency and sustainability, as well as the phenomenon of increasing productivity achievements in that unit over the past three years, which requires an understanding of the driving factors. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational design, involving 47 employees selected purposively as a sample. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results prove that recruitment and training have a positive and significant effect on work productivity, both partially and simultaneously. Training was shown to have a more dominant influence. Overall, these two variables were able to explain 56.3% of the variation in productivity. The implication of these findings confirms the importance for the company to optimize selective recruitment processes and implement targeted training programs as a strategy to improve organizational performance sustainably.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of experiential marketing, service quality, and discounts on purchasing decisions, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable, at PT. Pegadaian Pemalang. Data was collected through questionnaires from 100 respondents using purposive and accidental sampling techniques, and then analyzed using regression tests and path analysis. The results show that all instruments were valid and reliable. Regression analysis indicates that all variables have a positive influence: experiential marketing (b1=0.206), service quality (b2=0.077), discount (b3=0.831), and satisfaction (b4=0.661) on purchasing decisions. Hypothesis testing (t-test) confirms that all these influences are significant. Furthermore, the Sobel test proves that customer satisfaction significantly mediates the effect of the three independent variables on purchasing decisions. Thus, customer satisfaction plays a crucial role in strengthening the relationship between marketing, service, and price factors with the final purchasing decision.
