Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the role of social and educational institutions in Bajulmati in the process of community empowerment. This research uses a qualitative approach. The informants in this study consisted of government institutions, empowerment activists from social and educational institutions, and the surrounding community. The results of the study show the role of social and educational institutions in empowering Bajulmati people. Communities are empowered through the utilization of natural and human resources, to always be optimistic and independent, and empowered through school education institutions aimed at increasing competitiveness, education outside the school system to maintain the culture and noble values of Bajulmati people.Key Words: community empowerment, education, economy, social Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggali peran lembaga sosial dan pendidikan di Bajulmati dalam proses pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari institusi pemerintahan, pegiat pemberdayaan dari lembaga sosial dan pendidikan, serta masyarakat sekitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran lembaga sosial dan pendidikan dalam memberdayakan masyarakat Bajulmati. Masyarakat diberdayakan melalui pemanfaatan potensi alam maupun sumber daya manusia, untuk selalu bersikap optimis dan mandiri, serta diberdayakan melalui institusi pendidikan pendidikan persekolahan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing, pendidikan di luar sistem persekolahan untuk menjaga budaya dan nilai-nilai luhur masyarakat Bajulmati.Kata kunci: pemberdayaan masyarakat, pendidikan, ekonomi, sosial

Abstract

Abstract: Students’ demotivation is an area which is not widely reached from studies. It is essential to revover the students’ demotivation factors in learning English. 240 ninth grade of junior high schools students were taken part. There were four factors of demotivation, they were seen from teacher, classmates, text books and activities, and students’ characteristics aspects.Key Words: students’ demotivation, learning English, perceptionsAbstrak: Demotivasi siswa merupakan topik yang belum begitu tersentuh oleh penelitian. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk menguak penyebab demotivasi siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Ada 240 siswa yang bersedia menjadi sampel penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menemukan empat faktor demotivasi siswa, yaitu aspek giri, teman sekelas, buku pelajaran dan kegiatan, dan karakteristik siswa.Kata kunci: demotivasi siswa, belajar bahasa Inggris, persepsi

Abstract

Abstract: Learning materials is one of the important components of learning. Learning materials based on Augmented reality is capable of accommodating the needs of learners. Augmented reality intends to insert virtual objects into the real environment. In recent activity, learning materials are still using conventional media such as presentation slides and the internet. Consequently, students do not obtain appropriate material for certain learning. Learning materials assisted by augmented reality can be a solution for students in understanding moving pictures. The development model used was the Lee & Owens model. It produces valid and effective learning material products with augmented reality.Key Words: learning materials, augmented reality, motion picture, multimedia, vocational high schoolAbstrak: Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam pembelajaran. Bahan ajar yang baik ialah bahan ajar yang mampu mengakomodir kebutuhan pebelajar. Pada sekolah yang diteliti, bahan ajar yang ada masih menggunakan media slide presentasi dan bahan ajar diambil dari internet, sehingga pebelajar mengalami kesulitan jika sudah berada di luar kelas. Selain itu, pebelajar mengalami kesulitan belajar materi yang sesuai dengan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan. Bahan ajar berbantuan augmented reality dapat menjadi solusi bagi pebelajar dalam memahami pengambilan gambar bergerak. Model pengembangan yang digunakan ialah model Lee & Owens. Penelitian menghasilkan produk bahan ajar berbantuan augmented reality yang valid dan efektif.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, augmented reality, gambar bergerak, multimedia, sekolah menengah kejuruan

Abstract

Abstract: Local wisdom based education is a part of the implementation of character building principles in education which enable students to prepare themselves for future. The local wisdom plays significant role since the implementation of real life context in teaching learning activities is the best approach to initiate the lesson. Not only as a basis in teaching learning activity, the implementation of local wisdom will assist student to comprehend every concept in learning material, therefore students will be able to implement their cognitive ability in daily life. One of means of integrating local wisdom is by transferring it to the textbook. Research and development study need to be done in developing local wisdom based textbook. The aim of research and development study is to create a valid, interesting, practical and effective textbook. Thiagarajan’s 4D model was implemented in this research and development study. The data analysis shows that this book is valid, interesting, practical and effective to use in teaching learning process.Key Words: textbook development, local wisdomAbstrak: Pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal adalah pendidikan yang menerapkan prinsip-prinsip pembentukan karakter. Kearifan lokal sangat penting karena terkait dengan penyiapan kualitas generasi yang akan datang. Proses pembelajaran haruslah dimulai dari lingkungan terdekat atau yang sering dijumpai siswa. Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep nilai-nilai positif dalam materi buku teks. Kearifan lokal dijadikan basis dalam pengembangan buku teks tematik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku teks tematik berbasis kearifan lokal yang valid, menarik, praktis, dan efektif. Model penelitian dan pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model 4D dari Thiagarajan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa buku teks yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kemenarikan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research prove of difference between the limited critical thinking ability and the general critical thinking ability of learners using the methods of debate and discussion with learners who have different learning styles. Using a quasi-experimental design with testing and rating scales, the results showed: (1) there is no difference between the limited critical thinking ability of learners between students who use the method of debate and discussion. There is a difference between the general critical thinking ability of learners between students using the method of debate and those who are using discussion method (2) there is a difference in limited critical thinking ability and the general critical thinking ability between converging learning styles and divergent learning styles; (3) there is an interaction between instructional methods and learning styles on the limited critical thinking ability. The effect of learning methods to the general critical thinking ability is not influenced by the style of learning.Key Words: debate methods, discussion methods, learning styles, critical thinkingAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis umum peserta didik menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi dengan gaya belajar yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan skala pengujian dan penilaian. Hasil menunjukkan: (1) tidak ada perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas peserta didik di antara siswa yang menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi. Ada perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis umum peserta didik di antara siswa yang menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi; (2) ada perbedaan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis umum antara siswa dengan gaya belajar konvergen dan divergen; (3) ada interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya belajar pada kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas. Pengaruh metode pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis umum tidak dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar.Kata kunci: metode debat, metode diskusi, gaya belajar, berpikir kritis
