Abstract

Marriage is a bond between the outer and inner man as a husband who has not aged 25 years and women 21 years old wife is not with the purpose of achieving happiness. Marriage and family counseling is a profession that will be developed in Indonesia. Counseling emphasizes on changes contained in the family system. Stages counseling, theory and dynamics as well as the use of counseling skills in marriage and family counseling has similarities with individual counseling and group counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of prospective teachers of biology at Pasundan University in the course of educational psychology. Implementation of Problem Based Learning learning model aims to measure students' critical thinking skills. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with Randomized Control Group Posttest, data obtained based on the analysis, the data is described to obtain information or a description of the results of this research. The population in this study were 104 students, the sample in this study were 39 students for the experimental group-1 and 39 students for the experimental group-2. Data collected test data obtained from the test results of students who are given a score based on the indicators. results of research show that the critical thinking skills of prospective teachers of biology in educational psychology courses including category sufficient for the experimental group-1 and category well for the experimental group-2. The average score of the experimental group-1 amounted to 2.73, and the average score of the experimental group-2 by 3.05. Indicators of critical thinking skills at the highest indicator 3 (I-3) with an average of 3.38 for the experimental group-1 and 3.41 for the experimental group-2. Indicators of critical thinking skills are the lowest in two indicators (I-2) that is equal to 2.23 for the experimental group-1 and 2.74 for the experimental group-2. The average percentage of absorption problems in the experimental group-1 amounted to 51.25%, while the experimental group-2 amounted to 57.21%. The results of significance test p-value (0.008). Based on the significance of the test results can be concluded that the experimental group-2 has the critical thinking skills is better than the experimental group-1.

Abstract

The goal of counseling, among other thing,   is to develop an internal locus of control of a clients. Research, especially in western cultures, has shown that those with an internal locus of control were correlated to their characters, they are:  hard work, problem solving skilss, optimistic, engaging in social activities and high in achievement motivation. However, for clients who are not from western cultures a tendency to foster an internal locus of control in the counseling process should be considered properly. This paper describes how to  enhance client’s internal locus of control for those who do not embrace western cultures

Abstract

The learning process that implements the lecturers as the only source of knowledge, it turns out that in fact gives rise to a variety of polemics in the education field, including  not motivation  students to study more enterprising and find other resources relevant to the field of  science. Natural Products Chemistry course is the course that are associated with the natural surroundings, so it takes a model of learning which increase the curiosity of the students will be the condition of the environment. The application of the model of Student Centered Learning (SCL) is one model that could be applied in learning so that an increase in the motivation to learn.

Abstract

Mathematics learning for grade II of elementary students used to separate between learning and real life. This research is aimed to improve learning output of students by implementing realistic mathematics approach in mathematics learning. This is a class action research that consists of two cycles including four steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subject of this research are 25 elementary students grade II SDN 11 Sungai Sirah Kecamatan Pariaman Timur Kota Pariaman. Data of research were obtained through observation, interview, and test. Obtained data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Learning output of students is improved in each cycle. In cycle I, average score of students’ learning output is 77.2. Meanwhile in cycle II, average score of students’ learning output is 88.2. Hence, it can be concluded that mathematics learning implementing realistic mathematics approach can improve the learning output of elementary students grade II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitas guru dalam membantu siswa memahami huruf untuk membaca.  Apalagi kepada siswa yang belum pernah mengikuti pendidikan di TK. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut guru menggunakan kartu huruf berwarna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran membaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SD kelas I pada SDN 08 Nan Sabaris. Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan alat bantu berupa kartu huruf dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam membaca dan juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mereka. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis data, diperoleh keberhasilan belajar pada prasiklus perolehan hasil evaluasi hanya 50,10 dan pada siklus I; 62,00%, dan pada siklus II; sebesar 82,60%. Hal ini menunjukkan ada peningkatan pembelajaran siswa dari siklus I sampai siklus II.

Abstract

Perkawinan bertujuan membangun keluarga yang harmonis, namun kenyataannya tidak demikian, sehingga mengakibatkan terjadinya perceraian. oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap kondisi kehidupan rumah tangga pasangan sebelum berceerai dan faktor-faktor penyebab perceraiannya.Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) 65,71% kondisi usia pasangan baik, (2) 45,71% kondisi fisiologis pasangan cukup baik, (3) 71,43% kondisi psikologis pasangan kurang baik, (4) kondisi spiritual pasangan kurang baik, (5)65,71% kondisi komunikasi kurang baik, dan (6) 89% kondisi kehidupan seksual pasangan kurang baik. Adapun faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya perceraian adalah: (1) 94,28% pasangan bersifat egois, (2) 85,71% pasangan tidak menghargai, (3) 82,85% pasangan tidak berada dekat saat pasangan membutuhkan, (4) sebanyak 80% pasangan tidak bisa diajak untuk saling berbagi, (5) 71,42 pasangan suka mengatur, dan tidak meluangkan waktu, dan 54,28% s/d 68,57% perceraian disebabkan oleh faktor lainnya.

Abstract

Konselor multikultural menggunakan microskills yang bertujuan untuk memodifikasi interaksi konselor dalam membuat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kehidupan konseli dengan: (1) mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor dari respon nonverbal untuk diri konselor sendiri dan konseli, (2) memahami dasar intervieu microskills dalam proses menerima (attending), mendengarkan (listening), dan mempengaruhi (influencing), serta dampak potensial pada konseli untuk berubah, (3) mencatat fokus microskills, dan perhatian secara selektif yang merupakan dasar untuk masalah keluarga dan konseling multikultural, (4) mengetahui bagaimana dan kapan menggunakan konfrontasi microskill, dan (5) mengetahui keterampilan intervieu sebagai acuan frame multikultural. Sedangkan domain kompetensi konseling multikultural untuk pendidikan dan praktek, antara lain: (1) Counselor Awareness of Own Cultural Values and Biases), (2) Counselor Awareness of Client’ Worldview), dan (3) Culturally Appropriate Intervention Strategies.

Abstract

Model of learning is a syntax or learning steps depicted from the beginning to the end presented in full or typical in the learning process. This study aims to determine the ability of biology pre-service teacher in developing biology learning model integrated ethno pedagogy. This research is a quantitative descriptive research, data obtained based on the results of data analysis is described to obtain information or description of the results of this study. Population in this study as many as 164 students are divided into 38 groups. Technique of data collecting with non-test, data obtained from document of assignment of student report given score based on its indicator which divided into some aspect of assessment and student response questionnaire. The results showed that the ability of biology pre-service teacher in developing the learning model oriented ethno pedagogy including sufficient category with an average score of 75. Students’ response to development of learning model oriented ethno pedagogy is good, 70.04% of students expected. Thus it can be concluded that the ability of students in developing biology learning model integrated ethno pedagogy still needs to be developed especially for several aspects. The results of this study can be used as a reference for the lecture program in the future.

Abstract

Bagong is Punakawan figure. Bagong is one of the local wisdom that comes from Indonesia. Bagong have various characteristics sublime. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of Bagong. Characteristics of Bagong can be referred to a counselor to develop the characteristics of an effective counselor. The identification results show the characteristics of an effective counselor based Bagong figure are (1) genuine; (2) has a sense of humor; (3) the wise in responding to the phenomenon; (4) simple and patient in serving the counselee; (5) honesty; (6) have the view that every individual has a deficiency; (7) has the ability to see a difference value; and (8) gives the freedom to counselee for decision making.
