Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of solution-focused group counseling to improve students planned happenstance skills. The experimental research method way repeated measures with pretest design and multiple posttest design, involving 5 students as participants which from 24 upperclassman of the guidance and counseling FKIP ULM which have low planned happenstance skills. The result of the research by using one-way ANOVA for repeated measures test showed that solution-focused group counseling was effective in improving the planned happenstance skills (F (2,8) = 325,895; p<0,001).

Abstract

Aggressive behavior is an act of violence that harm, hurt, injure because it will harm the victim that was done on purpose in the form of active or passive, physically or verbally either in person or not. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of aggressive behavior class XI SMA Laboratorium UM Malang. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results showed that (1) the level of aggressive behavior in class XI SMA Laboratorium UM Malang high, (2) the level of aggressive behavior of male students are higher than female students, (3) the form of aggressive behavior of male students more patterns of behavior physically aggressive, active and direct, (4) the form of aggressive behavior more female students in the form of verbal aggressive behavior, passive and indirect.

Abstract

Honesty is a the important character in the student. The creation of this character takes quite a long time and  cannot be conducted in an instant. Honest character can be developed using the behavioristik theory by conditioning with stimulus-response technique-reinforcement. The role of teacher, counselors, other school personnel, parents and the community are very important in the development of the student’s characters through conditioning.

Abstract

The research is conducted by means of descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this research all of the YAB orphans those are 25 children altogether. The research instruments are AUM-U 1,2 and 5, questionnaire as well as a documentation study. The data obtained are analyzed and described. The research findings show that (1) the problems that the orphans mainly face relate to their personal matters, career and jobs; (2) there are 9 types of counseling service that can be provided at YAB. However, those already provided service are information service and individual counseling service; (3) counseling services play significant roles in building the orphans’ self confidence, minimizing their psychological burden and solving their problems. Therefore, the writer recommends that the Foundation (YAB) utilize counseling services as one of the prioritized activities for handling orphans problems at YAB.

Abstract

The condition of sexual disorientation behavior is a condition that develops from various and interrelated factors. This behavior is not the result of a single major factor, its formation occurs throughout the individual life span instead. The sexual behavior disorientation is a phenomenon that is always happening almost in all communities in various countries, which in the modern world popular with the term LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer). Another condition related to this community is that in recent years human rights related to this matter have been straightforwardly defended in some countries. This condition brings many problems and polemics in various dimensions of life. This study focuses on the trend of student attitudes toward LGBTQ phenomena that in the society. Data were collected through a student's attitude scale on the LGBTQ phenomenon adapted from "Worthen's (2012) Attitudes toward LGBT People Survey" and involving 213 respondents. Students in West Sumatera generally have an unfavorable attitude towards the LGBTQ phenomenon. But in one aspect, students have a moderate attitude towards the transgender phenomenon. This has become an important concern for counselors as social workers who deal directly with this issue. Counseling and psychotherapist services are one of the important points in problem solving. Related conditions that need attention are the paradigm and attitude of the students themselves against the LGBTQ phenomenon.

Abstract

Indonesian society progress and communication technology very rapidly. Therefore, it needs qualified human resources. Forming qualified human resources that can be done through formal education. In fact a lot of students who are less able to get a satisfactory learning outcomes. Therefore in inidicobakan research using methods Problem Solving in mathematics in grade IV SDN 12 Nan ​​Sabaris. The formulation of this research is how the result of learning mathematics in grade IV SDN 12 Nan ​​Sabaris Padang Pariaman using methods of problem solving? This study uses a classroom action research with two cycles. The survey results revealed that students' mathematics learning outcomes increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. This proves that the method of problem solving can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Community service activities are one of the activities most recently announced by all communities, government and private institutions as well as higher education centers. This activity has a positive impact on all societies, individuals and students involved in their success. Among the significant impacts of the students involved in this activity is to enhance the generic skills development of the team in terms of teamwork and problem solving skills in any field. In this study, the data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to 217 Electrical Engineering students from two to four semester at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Polytechnic (PSMZA) to obtain information about the impact of teamwork and problem solving skills. The raw data obtained was processed using the SPSS version 23 software and used the Likert scale 4 for each question chosen. Data analysis showed that the mean value of the impact of community service activities on teamwork skills was 3.26 and problem solving skills (3.68) where it was stand in high level for two to four semester electrical engineering students. The results of the t-test experiments found that there was no significant difference between male and female students on the impact of community activities on the components of teamwork skills where p> 0.05 and there is little difference between male and female students for problem solving skills where p <0.05. It is thus envisaged that this community service activity is crucial to be applied to all polytechnic students as a condition of awarding diploma and in line with the requirement of the National Education Philosophy to produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically balanced.

Abstract

Planning a career in high school students can be developed with the implementation of services appropriate to their talents, interests and personal circumstances. This study aims to describe the contribution of information about career services and career placement services to the distribution of students' career planning is. This study includes a descriptive study, with a quantitative approach. Population were students of SMA Negeri 16 Padang class XI Academic Year 2012/2013 (243), with a total sample of 151 people, selected by simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire enclosed with the model using a Likert scale. The findings of the study is information about career services and placement services distribution contribute to the achievement levels of students are planning careers in the high category, it can be seen from the attitude toward career planning, career exploration attitudes, career decision making and understanding of information about the world of work.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh persoalan-persoalan disiplin siswa SMPN 7  Kubung dalam belajar, seperti: siswa datang terlambat, tidak mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah (PR), persiapan belajar kurang baik, kurang memperhatikan materi pelajaran, dan menggunakan asesoris yang tidak diperbolehkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tiga hal, pola asuh orang tua, disiplin belajar siswa, dan hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap disiplin belajar siswa SMPN 7 Kubung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 24 orang. Selanjutnya, instrumen dalam pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data untuk penelitian ini menggunakan rumus korelasi produk moment. Simpulan penelitian ini ada tiga, yaitu (1) pola asuh orang tua siswa memiliki nilai rata-rata baik, (2) disiplin belajar siswa SMPN 7 Kubung dikategorikan cukup baik, dan (3) tidak ada hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap disiplin belajar siswa SMPN 7 Kubung.

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam ( PAI)  di SD Negeri 45 Pulau Karam Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusanmasih rendah. Hal tersebut disebabkan  metode  pembelajaran yang selama ini diterapkan kurang efektif  untuk meningkatkan hasil  belajar siswa.Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran PAI adalah umpan balik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang penerapan metode umpan balik  pada pembelajaran PAI di kelas III SD Negeri 45 Pulau Karam Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang ditempuh dalam dua siklus.Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SD Negeri 45 Pulau Karam Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusanyang terdiri dari 22 siswa.Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa melalui Metodeumpan balik, kemampuan siswa dalam menyampaikan materi di depan kelas dan belajar mandiri di rumah dapat ditingkatkan. Selain itu siswa menjadi lebih berani mengemukakan pendapat dan dapat menerapkan Pendidikan Agama Islam ( PAI )dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.
