Abstract

Hadroh Syubbanul Khoir is an Islamic art group located in Mutiara Vantavin 1 Residential Area, Tegal, which regularly performs shalawat and rebana music at religious and social community events. Previously, information about the group's profile, performance schedule, and activity documentation was only shared verbally and through private chat groups and Instagram, making it poorly documented and difficult to access. This Community Service Program aimed to build a profile website using React JS and MySQL for Hadroh Syubbanul Khoir. The method used was technology-based assistance, including observation, interviews, database design, system development, testing, and training for two group administrators appointed to manage the website. Evaluation was carried out through direct observation during training and post-activity interviews. The results show that the website successfully improved public access to the group's information, strengthened digital documentation, and opened wider opportunities for Hadroh Syubbanul Khoir to gain recognition and receive performance invitations.

Abstract

Communication ability is a key competency in the professional and business worlds. However, many individuals still face challenges such as low self-confidence and limited knowledge of communication techniques. This Community Service (PKM) initiative aimed to enhance hotel staff communication competencies in Malaysia through public speaking training using a Participatory Learning and Education approach. Participants were actively engaged through material delivery, interactive discussions, presentation simulations, and communication practice. A qualitative evaluation was conducted through in-depth interviews to assess changes in participants' knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The results indicated improvements in professional communication competencies, including understanding of public speaking principles, effective application of verbal and non-verbal techniques, systematic presentation structuring, and increased self-confidence. Participants also applied more persuasive presentation techniques in the workplace, receiving positive feedback from audiences and colleagues. These findings demonstrate that practice-based community service programs serve as an effective strategy for community empowerment.

Abstract

Manufacturing environments require productivity, standard compliance, collaboration, and employee well-being simultaneously. This community service program aimed to strengthen a positive work culture and employees' capacity to craft their jobs safely and in alignment with organizational goals. The participatory training combined concept briefings, case studies, group discussion, reflection, action planning through the Achievers Culture Journey Passport, and behavioral commitments on a Commitment Tree. Participants were cross-functional employees of PT XX Manufacturing Indonesia. Process evaluation indicated that participants could explore job crafting such as increasing structural job resources, increasing social job resources, increasing challenging job demands, decreasing hindering job demands and formulate realistic workplace actions. All groups completed the exercises, and each participant produced an individual behavioral commitment. The program generated three applied outputs: a facilitator module, a Journey Passport, and a Commitment Tree. These findings suggest that the training provides a practical starting point for strengthening entrepreneurship, accountability, collaboration, and employee well-being in support of SDG 8.
