Abstract

Soil moisture is the main aspect that needs to be considered so that plants are maintained and grow well. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical devices connected to the internet, enabling them to collect and share data. This research produces a system that will maintain soil moisture for chili plant seeds at the ideal range and can be controlled remotely via a device connected to the Internet (IoT), using a soil moisture sensor to detect the level of soil dryness. If the soil is detected as dry, the pump will activate and spray until the humidity in the soil increases. Once the humidity in the soil increases to the upper limit, the pump will automatically stop. However, on the other hand, if the soil is initially detected as wet, the pump will remain inactive and the pump will be active when the moisture in the soil is dry. The chili plant watering monitoring system can be carried out at close range using an LCD and remotely using the Internet of Things via the Blynk application. This system can maintain the soil moisture percentage value at 65% with the time needed to increase soil moisture from dry conditions is 2 minutes 11 seconds

Abstract

Environmental concerns have influenced a number of researchers to develop nature-based composite materials. These composite materials are composed of fibers and matrix, which are partially or completely derived from nature. Natural fibers are widely applied to reduce the utilization of synthetic fibers. However, natural fibers have hydrophilic properties that make it difficult to interact with the matrix, which tends to be hydrophobic. This condition results in the weak mechanical strength of natural fiber-reinforced composite materials. It is necessary to modify the surface of natural fibers, so that the interaction between natural fibers and the matrix can be improved, so that the resulting mechanical strength also increases. A number of analyses on natural fiber surface modification are discussed in this article to discuss the effect of each natural fiber surface modification method, as well as its characteristics when applied as reinforcement in composite materials. The analysis in this article includes several modification methods such as: alkalization, silane, and acetylation, as well as composite mechanical characteristics such as: tensile strength and elastic modulus. The analysis process is carried out by collecting several reference sources from books, and scientific articles accredited by national or international journals. Among the three methods analyzed, alkalization is the most widely applied method for natural fiber surface modification.

Abstract

This study proposes an integration between science, specifically modern astronomy, and Qur'anic exegesis, aiming to bridge scientific understanding with spiritual values, particularly in the context of celestial phenomena. While stars in the Qur'an are often interpreted as symbols of God's power, scientific approaches to stellar phenomena frequently overlook this spiritual dimension. The research identifies a gap between modern astronomical knowledge and existing Qur'anic interpretations, and proposes an integrative approach that connects these two disciplines. Using a descriptive qualitative method and thematic exegesis analysis, the study demonstrates that Qur'anic verses about stars can be more deeply understood when enriched with modern scientific findings. The results reveal that this integrative approach not only enhances scientific comprehension but also deepens spiritual insight, fostering harmony between science and religion, and contributing to an educational paradigm that values both domains

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the possible causes of student error in explaining various physical phenomena, mainly due to lack of ability in understanding the physics concept. Unlike the misconception theory, resource theorists believe that studenterrors are more due to their incomplete understanding less frequently observed by researchers, especially in Indonesia. An in-depth study of the causes of student error is very important to be used as a reference as a design of quality learning. In this article will examine students difficulties in understanding the force conceptaccording to the perspective of resource theory, as well as learning alternatives to reduce errors.
