Abstract

Pengembangan Pendidikan Sejarah dalam mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk kehidupan pada Abad ke 21 menghendaki adanya berbagai perubahan dalam berbagai komponen Pendidikan Sejarah. Perubahan tersebut terutama dalam bentuk pengayaan yaitu pengembangan kompetensi yang dinamakan Kompetensi Pendidikan Sejarah yang terdiri atas tiga kelompok kompetensi, yaitu Kompetensi mengenal dan memahami perubahan,  kompetensi mengadaptasi perubahan, dan  kompetensi menentukan perubahan untuk kehidupan masa depan. Penguasaan ketiga KPS tersebut didasarkan pada pengetahuan sejarah, berpikir sejarah, dan sikap kesejarahan. Pengayaan lain yang diperlukan terkait dengan proses pembelajaran, sumber materi Pendidikan Sejarah, dan penilaian hasil belajar sejarah. Pengayaan tersebut perlu dilakukan secara menyeluruh dan tidak terkait hanya pada suatu komponen tertentu mengingat Pendidikan Sejarah adalah suatu totalitas sistem pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain a form of the 21st Century History EducationModel based on the four converging forces, namely knowledge work, thinking tools,digital lifestyles, and learning research through local history as the substance in the ICT in History Learning course. It is done to anticipate the need of skill development that demanded in the 21st century, especially for Department of History Education which will produce the history teachers. The results of this research can be used and developed by the Department of History Education as the education model in every course which discusses about the historical thinking development. The results of the21st Century History Education Model show that (a) in knowledge work aspect, 90,3% of students opined that this course gave them much knowledge about the developmentin information and argued technology world; (b) in thinking tools, this course got good enough’ mark to help the students in learning, working, and recreating through browsers, email, blogs, UPI SPOT (Sistem Pembelajaran Online Terpadu / Integrated Online Instructional System, accessed on spot.upi.edu), and Wi-Fi facility in the faculty; (c) in digital lifestyles aspect, ICT in History Learning course could bring the changing of students’ lifestyle and habit. The students started to habitually do their task by them selves or by groups without being bordered by time or space. The last aspect, (d) learning research aspect of the students are good enough in understanding in searching and developing the information of local history substance via internet, but in developing their skill of updating the knowledge into a meaningful learning, and skill of confirming the information of local history substance that been got from the internet and the local region through observation and interview, 60% of students did feel difficult. Developing students skills in researching, searching, and finding their region potencies through the tasks which related to their locality also could grow their pride with their locality itself, and their appreciation between the other regions’ diversity. Kind of those thoughts are the requirement of the people in the 21st century: always think like a researcher search and find something new.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji munculnya degradasi ekologis dan kapitalisme dalam materi Revolusi Hijau dalam buku teks sejarah sekolah. Pewacanaan Revolusi Hijau cenderung membuat pembaca menganggapnya sebagai sebuah pencapaian yang telah dilakukan pemerintahan Orde Baru. Menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis yang mencoba memahami kontruksi sosial yang dibangun oleh materi tersebut melalui pembahasaan yang ditulis dalam buku teks sejarah untuk kelas XII program ilmu alam yang ditulis oleh I Wayan Badrika. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa wacana yang dibangun dalam materi  ini telah menempatkan Revolusi Hijau di Indonesia sebagai sebuah program yang berhasil, namun tidak secara kritis menampilkan dampak kerusakan lingkungan dan kultural yang ditimbulkan. Ini merefleksikan bahwa pembuat wacana mencoba menghegemoni pembaca dengan visi ideologi Orde Baru mengenai Revolusi Hijau adalah baik, bermanfaat, dan tidak berdampak negatif.

Abstract

This paper is constructed in the purpose to identify the Javanese local wisdom in order to develop a dignified Indonesian nation. Discussion on this paper will cover several issues as follows: identification of the Javanese local wisdom of the previous era, the broken down of society order due to Western culture penetration, and cultural strategy for the purpose of developing a dignified Indonesia.Success in identifying the Javanese local wisdom and causal factors of the Javanese society disorder, as well as the way out of kalabendu era, can be used as references to form cultural strategies in order to develop the dignified Indonesia. The cultural strategies mentioned are as follows: national repentance (National Reconciliation), law enforcement, the clean, honest, impartial and prestigious government’s implementation, cultural movement of corruption eradication, inistilling the sense to value the domestic products and proud to be Indonesian, instilling the culture of being ashamed of doing something improper, science and technology development based on well-mannered, law, and humanity norms, and build social ethos based on religion.

Abstract

Mosque, is a living culture, because it is an architectural product which is always created, extensively used by Muslim society, utilized continuously from generation to generation. As a religious building, mosque represents Muslim community who constructs and makes it prosperous in terms of extensive use of it for religious and social activities. As a product of prevailing culture, mosque often grows and dynamically develops along with the growth and development of the society itself. The following study is to show the dynamic of development and change in mosque architectural design in Indonesia, by bringing to light the traditional and modern form of transformation and architectural space as its dominant character.

Abstract

The present study analyses history education as it is in curriculum document of senior secondary school. The curriculum document is a part of content standard document which is officially announced by Minister of National Education Regulation number 22 year 2005. This official document contains amongst others curriculum structure, competency standards and basic competency. Two major questions this study asks are (1) what is the concept of history education stipulated in curriculum document?, and (2) how far the existing curriculum provides possibilities for the development of historical thinking and skills?  The questions are answered by analysing the document. Considering the characteristic of curriculum document which is an official document and all ideas are planned strictly and clearly written, the analysis uses logical analysis approach where the two research questions serve as analysis framework. The result shows that the exisiting curriculum conceived history education as a scientific discipline education. Also, the curriculum provides an ample opportunity to develop historical thinking and skills. Design used by the curriculum is concecutive design for the development of thinking and learning skills.  It concluded that the concept of history education as a scientific discipline education is appropriate considering the objective of senior secondary education to prepare the students for university education. The study also suggests teachers of history to implement integrated design for the development of historical thinking and skills as an alternative to consecutive design.

Abstract

History education, including the teaching and learning of history, is a form of teaching and learning that is establishing national character values as to develop critical and chronological thinking as well as to acquire knowledge about the past in order to understand and explain the development and the changes in society as well as socio cultural diversity in order to find national identity among world society. The goals of the teaching and learning will be achieved if the student are well managed. As to manage teaching and learning in a proper way, educational management is required. Teaching and classroom management are a certain activities or process in managing cooperative group efforts in educational organization as to reach the goals effectively and efficiently. The functions of management includes: planning, organizing, actuating, controlling and evaluating. History education requires the functions in order to manage teaching and learning to be productive. Productivity is reflected from the effectivity and efficiency of learning.

Abstract

Pengaruh media grafis gambar situs prasejarah Tanjung Sirih terhadap hasil belajar IPS terpadu (sejarah)  kelas VII di SMP N 48 Palembang. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Adakah pengaruh media grafis gambar terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu (Sejarah) dengan materi pembelajaran situs Tanjung Sirih Kelas VII di SMP Negeri 48 Palembang. Sedangkan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh media grafis gambar Situs Tanjung Sirih terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu (Sejarah) di Kelas VII SMP Negeri 48 Palembang. Metode yang dipakai yaitu metode deskriftif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, tes soal, dokumentasi. Hasil peneltian media grafis gambar situs prasejarah Tanjung Sirih merupakan cara teknik mengajar pelajaran IPS Terpadu (Sejarah) yang mampu merangsang siswa untuk aktif dan memahami pelajaran sehingga membuat pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa.
