Abstract

This study aims to develop STEM-based teaching modules for primary 4 students that are integrated with the Pancasila Student Profile. This research was conducted according to developmental research (R&D) procedures. The modules were developed based on the needs of teachers and students obtained through observation, interviews, and a diagnostic test to students. The validation from experts on the modules showed very good categories for each material, layout and graphics aspect. Moreover, the modules developed are considered very practical to teachers in class, while students’ responses for the learning using the modules are very positive. Hence, the students' learning achievements are very satisfactory.

Abstract

This research explores the influence of using open-ended worksheets in interactive demonstration learning on students' understanding of harmonic motion and scientific reasoning. It is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. Data were obtained from conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning tests and analyzed using parametric and non-parametric tests. The results show that open-ended worksheets enhance students' concept comprehension and scientific reasoning. There was a significant difference in conceptual understanding between the two classes. However, there was no difference in scientific reasoning. These findings hold valuable implications for improving learning with open-ended worksheets and interactive demonstration models.

Abstract

Work readiness is one of the main factors that must be possessed by vocational graduates to enter the world of work. Based on BPS data, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2022 has the highest number of SMK graduates among other levels of education, namely 10.38%. This indicates a lack of work readiness of SMK students. the purpose of this study was to examine the role of industrial work practices in moderating the effect of ICT skill, vocational competence and soft skill on work readiness. This research approach is quantitative. The population in this study were 268 class XII students of SMKs throughout Sragen Regency, the Accounting and Financial Institutions expertise program for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling and the number of samples is 160 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Methods of data analysis performed by descriptive statistical analysis, multiple regression analysis and moderated Regression analysis with analysis tools software SPSS Statistic 23. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant variable effect of ICT skill and soft skill on work readiness. Vocational competence has a negative and significant effect on work readiness. This study also shows that industrial work practices can moderate the effect of vocational competence on work readiness. On the other hand, this research cannot find any role of industrial work practices in moderating the effect of ICT skill and soft skill on work readiness.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify learner errors in problem-solving within the mathematics course, particularly in the subtopic of integration, based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA). The subjects of this research were 14 first-year learners from the Physics Education Department at Musamus University, Merauke. The research method employed in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The instruments used in this research were tests and interviews. The test questions were used to measure the errors made by learners according to Newman's framework. Furthermore, four subjects were selected as participants for interviews to analyze the difficulties encountered while solving problems that led to learner errors. The results of this study revealed the presence of comprehension errors, transformation errors, process errors, and encoding errors when learners solved problems related to the subtopic of integration

Abstract

RETRACTED: The editorial board of JPtpp has officially retracted the article "School Partnership Management with The Students’ Parents During the Online Distance Learning Period" (Vol 9, No 8: AUGUST 2024, pp.341-350), due to a violation of publication ethics.Following a thorough review, the editor confirmed that this paper represents a duplicate publication. It contains redundant material previously published in JPtpp, Vol 8, No 5: MAY 2023,328—337, URL: https://citeus.um.ac.id/jptpp/vol8/iss5/4/, under the title "School Partnership Management with The Students’ Parents During the Online Distance Learning Period".In accordance with institutional policies, the digital version of this document has been removed from previously published, and all citations or references to this paper should be discontinued. This research aims to explain the stages of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the school partnership program with parents during distance learning. This research used qualitative and descriptive approaches. The subjects are the school principal, five subject teachers, one deputy principal, two representatives of students' parents, one head of administration, and two school committee members. The data are collected using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The data are analyzed through three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The findings indicate that during the planning stage, the partnership team has prepared some actions such as 1) first-day school activities; 2) parental activities; 3) inspirational activities; 4) parents’ involvement in self-development activities and 5) social activities. At the implementation stage, the school partnership team, along with the students’ parents, carries out some activities which involve the parents' association and school committee members based on the action plan that has been set previously. The monitoring process shows that the partnership program involves the parents' associations, the school committee members, and the teachers. The evaluation step shows that the action plan has been implemented effectively despite some issues.
