Jurnal Keteknikan Pertanian dengan No. ISSN 2338-8439, pada awalnya bernama Buletin Keteknikan Pertanian, merupakan publikasi resmi Perhimpunan Teknik Pertanian Indonesia (PERTETA) bekerjasama dengan Departemen Teknik Mesin dan Biosistem (TMB) IPB yang terbit pertama kali pada tahun 1984, berkiprah dalam pengembangan ilmu keteknikan untuk pertanian tropika dan lingkungan hayati. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun. Penulis makalah tidak dibatasi pada anggota PERTETA tetapi terbuka bagi masyarakat umum. Lingkup makalah, antara lain: teknik sumberdaya lahan dan air, alat dan mesin budidaya, lingkungan dan bangunan, energi alternatif dan elektrifikasi, ergonomika dan elektronika, teknik pengolahan pangan dan hasil pertanian, manajemen dan sistem informasi. Makalah dikelompokkan dalam invited paper yang menyajikan isu aktual nasional dan internasional, review perkembangan penelitian, atau penerpan ilmu dan teknologi, technical paper hasil penelitian, penerapan, atau diseminasi, serta research methodology berkaitan pengembangan modul, metode, prosedur, program aplikasi, dan lain sebagainya.

Abstract

This paper describes the design of baby fish counter with parallelsensors to enhance the speed of counting process. This design is developed from the previous baby Jish counter with a single sensor. The counter with 0 single sensor has only one outlet channel through which baby fishes are being $own and counted. The new baby fish counter is designed to have multiple outlet channels, each of which is equipped with a sensor to enable uparullel counting process, and thus increasing the counting speed.

Abstract

The final step of this research was uploading the system in virtual FTP (File Transfer Protocol directory address /www/smipipb, and Uniform Resource Locator (URL) to access this site washttp://www.websamba.com/smipipb. The eveluation using the same browser engines indicutes that the system work as weN as in the local intranet. The knowledge base contains rules concerning the knowledge domain transformed and stored in the Microsoft Access data basejle. The main constribution of this research is to provide a multiuser software tool for hand tractor trouble shooting in the internet environment.

Abstract

This research tries to find a suitable material for porous lateral pipe, its mean outflow, its coefficient of uniformity and distribution of outflow along the pipe. The material that is used in this research is Parachute and Fatnatex cloth with 20 cm long.The research shows that the Famatex cloth with 8 cm circumference, gives a better performance and can be used for the further research . Besides. the bigger head is used, the faster water flow and the bigger mean outflow from the material to the ground surface.

Abstract

Drip/trikle irrigation is an irrigation method, which gives high efficiency, high effectivity and assuraes high productivity/yield. This method, is often used for hortivulture and vegetable. The objectives of this research is to study the effect of drip irrigation by continuous water application using 1 and 2 emitters on water distribution and crop growth.The result show that irrigation water by using 2 emitter was spread horizontally more, gave taller crops and more leaves that that using 1 emitter. In general, the effect of continuous water application was beter than intermittent water application.

Abstract

Sejak jaman kolonial hingga saat ini, keberadaan petani masihdianggap sebagai factor produksi (produsen), yang terus menjadi sapi perahan (ekosloitasi) bagi pelaku bisnis pertanian yang bergerak pada pengadaan saprodi (sarana produksi), pasca panen dan pemasaran hasil, sehingga petani tak berdaya untuk bergerak dari pola usaha tani tradisional yang bersifat subsisten menuju usaha tani moderen yang bersifat komersial. Petani berada dalam posisi "pasrah" menerima dan mengikuti perilaku dan mekanisme pasar yang belum memihak kepada petani, yang menyebabkan tingkat kehidupan petani relatif statis berada pada lapisan bawah sehingga semakin sulit untuk mampu keluar darikondisi kerniskinan dan keterbelakangan.

Abstract

Palawija is still used as secondary food in Indonesia. Some of palawija crops were source of the carbohydrate, and the others like a peanut and soybean are source of protein. The common palawija crops grown on upland area are soybean, peanut, green pea, and corn. The major constrains on development of upland area for agriculture purpose was water scarcity and availability data of crops water requirement. The objective of the research was to develop the crop growth and water use modeling, determining the transpiration coefficient and crop water requirement of upland crops.

Abstract

One of important factor in post harvest handling is cropping at correct maturity level. Fruit maturity relates to age pluck vegetable or fruit to be harvested have old enough or not yet. Grading represent dissociation of product becomes some group quality of pursuant to maturity level, size measure, color, form, heavy, texture, aroma and freedom from foreign object or dirt.The objective of this research is to predict the maturity of fresh mangosteen by means of an image processing algorithm. In this study, four stages maturity (120, 126, 132 and 138 days after flowering) were used as objects with 33,37,40,40 samples for each stages of maturity. The image processing program to analyze the relationship between the maturity and the color, size, and shape of fruits.

Abstract

This paper describes the prediction of deep-bed clove drying. This model also considers mass and heat profile that was affected by fermentation process. This model used the equation of two-dimensional finite difference approximation. The dynamic of two-dimensional equation were solved numerically by alternating direction Crank-Nicolson method and then applied to simulate the changes of moisture content and temperature of cloves during drying process. The capabilities of these models were compared with experimental data obtained from the research under variable conditions such as temperature and relative humidity on fermentation and non-fermentation treatment of cloves. The result of simulation showed that the equilibrium of moisture content (EMC) wasconsiderably decreased whereas the rate of drying was dramatically increased with the increase of the temperature of drying. The profile of moisture content on deep-bed cloves drying was unique. The fermented and non-fermented treatments of the cloves did not give significant differences on the drying time in order to achieve the equilibrium of moisture content.

Abstract

Mekanisasi pertanian adalah introduksi dan penggunaan alat mekanis untuk melaksakan opersi pertanian. Alat mekanis yang digunakan mencakup semua peralatan yang digerakan oleh tenaga manusia, hewan/ternak, motor bakar, motor listrik, angin dan sumber tenaga lainnya seperti nuklir. Mekanisasi juga dapat diartikan sebagai aplikasi ilmu teknik (engineering science) untuk mengembangkan, mengorganisasi dan mengatur semua operasi dalam "usaha pertanian".

Abstract

This paper discusses the development of a software prototype for cucumbers selection and grading by applying Standard Backpropagation Neural Network (SBPNN) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The prototypes has been tested to recognize cucumbers based on their shapes (i.e. straight or non-straight cucumbers). Cucumbers images data were expressed in eight position of rotational exes:0˚,45˚,90˚,135˚,180˚,225˚,270˚,315˚. The implemented system can recognized 100% of all tested straight cucumbers and 75%of all tested non-straight cucumbers. The performance implemented SBPNN was also compared to another system called Probabilistic Nural Network (PNN). The result shows that SBPNN in generalization or recognition accuracy.
