Jurnal Keteknikan Pertanian dengan No. ISSN 2338-8439, pada awalnya bernama Buletin Keteknikan Pertanian, merupakan publikasi resmi Perhimpunan Teknik Pertanian Indonesia (PERTETA) bekerjasama dengan Departemen Teknik Mesin dan Biosistem (TMB) IPB yang terbit pertama kali pada tahun 1984, berkiprah dalam pengembangan ilmu keteknikan untuk pertanian tropika dan lingkungan hayati. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun. Penulis makalah tidak dibatasi pada anggota PERTETA tetapi terbuka bagi masyarakat umum. Lingkup makalah, antara lain: teknik sumberdaya lahan dan air, alat dan mesin budidaya, lingkungan dan bangunan, energi alternatif dan elektrifikasi, ergonomika dan elektronika, teknik pengolahan pangan dan hasil pertanian, manajemen dan sistem informasi. Makalah dikelompokkan dalam invited paper yang menyajikan isu aktual nasional dan internasional, review perkembangan penelitian, atau penerpan ilmu dan teknologi, technical paper hasil penelitian, penerapan, atau diseminasi, serta research methodology berkaitan pengembangan modul, metode, prosedur, program aplikasi, dan lain sebagainya.

Abstract

Ihe research was done to design computer sojiware for land suitability identification offood crops, i.e.: wetland rice, upland rice, maize, soybean, phaseolus bean, sweet potato, cassava, white potato, and cocoyam/taro using Quick BASIC.After having user input the data of certain physical characteristics of the land, the system examined the program and then the system was capable to give the rank of the crops with certain score. The crop with the biggest score is the most suitable crop for that land.

Abstract

A database system has been developed to prodict land suitability and cultivation information of national valuable fruits. The database system covers commodity of fruits database, agro-ecological database, and salaccia and mango information database. "A computer program for determining the best of land suitability was designed based on fruits database and agroecological database.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to build the setup model of farmmachinery and equipment for zip land sugar cane indzlstry. From this model can be determined: (I) selection of farm machinery/equipment, (2)number farm machinery/equipment, and (3) optitnun? longevrty of ratoon.The result shows that the technolog?, consideration hus been the priniary consideration on farm tnachinery and eqztipnzent selection. The next is econonzy consideration. The attention for social and environment consideration is poor.

Abstract

AnĀ  optimization was conducted to a growth model for baby cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. Var. Marta). The model gives information of nutrient intake and micro climate conditions (temperature, humidity, and irrediation) to get response of the plant (ratio of canopy area and stem diameter) and the loss of nutrient solution. The model ws then coupled with genetic algoritm in order to get optimum result efficiently. Two fitness functions were used in the application og genetic algoritm. The result showed that the first fitness function could be used to optimize the plant response (ratio of canopy area and stem diameter) and the loss of nutrient solution efficiently as indicated by the maximum fitness value (Pc = 0.6 and Pm = 0.01).

Abstract

Pemilihan metode pembekuan merupakan salah satu aspek penting, khususnya dari sisi keteknikan. Pembandingan karakteristik pembekuan dan mutu produk yang dibekukan dengan berbagai metoda dapat digunakan untuk keperluan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan perbandingan karakteristik pembekuan antara metoda pembekuan vakum dan metoda pembekuan lempeng sentuh. Bahan yang dibekukan adalah pulp markisa. Parameter banding yang digunakan adalah profil dan sebaran suhu bahan, laju pembekuan, konsumsi energi dan parameter mutu seperti warna, kadar air, kandungan protein dan kandungan vitamin C.

Abstract

This paper describes an application of n~rmerical method of finilsdzflerence for predicting the distribution of volumetric water (8) and water potential (v by using diffusity and conductivity approach. The result of current study showed that the parameters, volumetric water and water potential, correlated reversely. The trend of application of numerical method was similar to that of exact method. The simulation of parameters was not signiJcant. The reliability of models is still needed to test emperically.

Abstract

Drying characteristic of a particular product is important in analyzing the appropriateness of the drying method for the product. This is especially important for freeze drying, which is known as the most expensive drying method, asideji-om its good drying quality. The objectives of this experiment are to develop a computer simulation program using a retreating drying-frontmodel for predicting freeze drying characteristics of mashed nteat, especially for the influence of sublimation temperature and thermal conductivity.

The objective of this research is to study the soil strength and density relationships of latosol and red yellowish podzolic soil. Abstract

Tank to model is one of hydrological models to analize characteristics of river flow. The model can give information of water availability and be used to predict flood occurences. As it is setting the embodied parameters. In from of Standard Tank Model, the number of parameters accounts to 12. Many optimation method available for general application. This paper introduces an optimation technique to determine the parameters with taking into account confornity to water balance in addition to best-fifting. Here, two data from Cidanau and Terauchi Watershed were used for clarification, which show that this optimation technique gained fast and accurate result. This technique has been made available to use in form of an application sofware and openly possible to accomodate the other forms of Tank Model.

Abstract

The study was conducted to assess the influence of durian 's position toward transmission properties of ultrasonic wave for determination of the fruit ripeness using non-destructiive technique. Three ripe and unripe durian were used to assess transmittance wave that was passed the durian. The measurement was conducted at 3 peak and valley positions and it was repeated 20 times. The result showed that position durian 's inJluenccad thetransmissions of ultrasonic wave. Mo mzJ a (attenuation) values can be used as indicator for durian ripeness. Ripe durian tends to have highera value than unripe durian.
