Agribusiness Journal is a biannual and peer review journal published since June 1, 2007 by Study Program of Agribusiness, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Previously it has the name of Jurnal Agribisnis. Since 2017, it has been published with the name of Agribusiness Journal according to the registration name from LIPI (ISSN 1979-0058). The journal is in Bahasa publishing 2 issues per year on June and December. The journal covers all aspects of agribusiness and rural development, including agricultural economics and natural resource, business and entrepreneurship, agricultural management, agricultural marketing, consumer behavior, farmer’s community empowerment, agricultural communication, agricultural institution and human resource, economics of halal food, agricultural finance, agricultural policy, international trade, agro-technology, and food security.

Abstract

The test results obtained a value of adjusted Rsquare of 90.76%. These results indicate that the formation of rice prices in Indonesia can be explained by the independent variables used in the model is the production of rice, rice consumption, the price of imported rice, and the exchange rate of rupiah against the US dollar by 90.76%. While the remaining 9.24% is explained by other variables outside this research model. The joined test results indicate variables of domestic rice production, domestic rice consumption, the price of imported rice, and the exchange rate against the US dollar affect the formation of prices of rice in Indonesia with a value of F (42.77) is greater than F table (3.18 ) or probability value is 0.000000 <0.05. Partial test results found that the variable domestic rice production, domestic rice consumption, and the rupiah against the US dollar respectively significantly affect the domestic rice price variables at α = 0.05, whereas the variable import prices did not significantly affect variable domestic rice prices.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out the characteristics of consumers who consume pasteurized milk, (2) determine the factors that affect the level of demand for pasteurized milk and analyze the influence of these factors on the demand for pasteurized milk, and (3) analyze the elasticity of demand for pasteurized milk. The research was conducted at the Dairy Cooperative Production (KPS, North Bogor). A total of 100 respondents were interviewed by using purposive sampling techniques. Multiple regression analysis and analysis of demand elasticity through programs of Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and SPSS 21 were employed to analyze the data. The results showed that incomes, number of family members, ages, educations, and tastes jointly significantly affect demand for pasteurized milk at KPS Bogor with confidence level of 75 %. The result from short-term elasticities showed that those five variables were inelastics.

Abstract

Tea is an Indonesian excellent product that has been recognized worldwide. Indonesia is the seventh best tea producer which have international market potential.Therefore Tea Indonesia is expected to take advantage on existing opportunities from downstream industry of tea. The one of stated-owned plantation company who have downstream industry of tea is PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII. Walini’s tea is a one famous brand product for this company. The development downstream industry of tea PTPN VIII is faced with yet achieved the expected sales. Amount of cost operational marketing and sales are indicated of operational risk. The objective of this study is strategy handling of marketing operational risk Walini Green tea bag product in downstream industry of tea PTPN VIII. Identification risk is first step to know the problem of marketing operational in downstream industry of tea PTPN VIII. By using Z-Score and Value at Risk (VAR) metode, it be showed the result of probability and impact of marketing operational risk. Preventif and mitigation strategy can be handling this company to growth up the expected sales.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the factors that affect Vannamei shrimp in intensive pond, and (2) analyze the responses of Vannamei shrimp production to the factors of production. This research was conducted in the District Punduh Pedada Pesawaran, Lampung regency. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires and direct observations. Multiple linear regression was employed to analyze the data. The results showed that the factors that influence the production of Vannamei shrimp are shrimp fries, feeds, water mills, and spacious pools. Production elasticity of Vannamei shrimp in the district Punduh are inelastics.

Abstract

Identification of internal and external factors was conducted to determine the factors that influence the business development of PT. Sumber Pangan Jaya by using analytical tools IFE matrix (Internal Factor Evaluation Matrix) and EFE matrix (External Factor Evaluation Matrix). Processing data using IFE matrix produced the factors that become a major strength in the business development of PT. Sumber Pangan Jaya, the variety of products offered with a total score of 0.350, and the factor that becomes weakness is the consumers not entirely from upper class society with a total score of 0.093. EFE matrix processing produce factors that are major opportunities in business development PT. Sumber Pangan Jaya, namely the continuity of raw materials from supplier with a total score of 0.300, and a factor that is the main threat, the rise in raw material prices with a total score of 0.106. IE matrix processing results illustrate the position PT. Sumber Pangan Jaya are in the division IV, which means a strategy aimed at Growth and Build. The result of the SWOT matrix obtained 9 alternative strategies developed by the company's position on the matrix IE, in this case the strategy might be implemented is intensive strategy (market penetration, market development, and product development) and integration strategy (forward integration, horizontal integration and backward integration). Based on the results of data processing with the matrix QSPM, there are nine strategic priorities that can be executed by PT. Sumber Pangan Jaya.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the group dynamic conditions, the productivity of farmers, and the relationship between group dynamics and productivities of breeders KTN assisted in Al-Awwaliyah Community, Garut, West Java. The Spearman Rank was employed to analyze the data. Rank Spearman statistical test results showed that the purpose of the group, the group structure, the function of the task group, the development and the maintenance of the group, the group atmosphere, and the peer pressure associated with the productivity of breeders. Of the six indicators of group dynamics, group environment indicators occupy the highest ratings in the amount of 95.6 %. Besides, of the three indicators of the productivity of breeders, high confidence indicators occupy the highest ratings in the amount of 84.4 %.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the business development strategies of dragon fruit cake in C.V. Aroma Dragon Fruit, Batam. The IFE matrix, EFE, SWOT and AHP were employed to formulate strategic priorities for the business. Results of processing matrices AHP showed that priority strategies are an improvement strategy of the management system and the quality of customer service (0,157), a market penetration strategy (0,157), an improvement vision and mission of the company (0.123), and a development of new products in accordance with the development of consumer preferences (0.117 ).

Abstract

Objective of this research; 1) determine the perception of ranchers against the properties and behavior of the leadership of the companion in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah 2) analyze the relationship between productivity breeder with productivity of livestock in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah 3) identify the relationship perceptions of ranchers against the leadership companion with productivity of livestock in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah , The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires which stem from ranchers while secondary data sourced from literature in the form of books and articles. Data processing was performed using Chi-square analysis using SPSS software version 21. One of the factors relating to the productivity of ranchers is the perception of ranchers against the leadership of their companion. Leadership companion views of the nature and behavior of which is owned by a companion. Productivity ranchers indirectly related to the productivity of the cattle business. Characteristics breeder visits of age, years of education, experience ranchers, and businesses in addition to ranchers. The results of data analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between business other than ranchers with ranchers productivity. The relationship between the perception of the nature of the companion breeder with productivity ranchers produce Pearson Chi-Square value is 9.751 and Asymp. Sig. (2-sided) of 0.002. This is due to interest ranchers against leadership qualities possessed by a companion who produce prolific ranchers. Ranchers consider that a companion of his leadership qualities are ideal as a companion.
