Abstract

This study examines the development, orientation and characteristics of the study of contemporary traditions in all online journals PTKI Indonesia on the portal Moraref. According to R. Michel Feener and Daniel Djuned, the study of hadith in Indonesia is growing dynamically and PTKI is at the center of its development. This is contradictory to Martin Van Bruinessen and Ahmad Rafiqi's assertion that the opposite is even less likely to develop. The methodology used by the author is descriptive-content analysis. Where the authors make all the journal articles containing the hadith studies in the Moraref Portal as the main data in the study, in addition to the literature relating to the study of hadith as secondary data. This research found Characteristics of study of Hadith in Indonesia if traced through e- journals that have been indexed Moraref categorized in six categories, namely thematic Hadith Studies with the number of articles 80 articles, Hadith scholarship as many as 74 articles, Studies of Hadits and hadith thinking with 49 articles, as many as 35 articles Hadith Studies orientalisme as many as 36 articles Studies of living hadith as many as 18 articles. So the most dominant in the study of hadith in Indonesia is a thematic research both in religious rituals and social issues.

Abstract

This article explains the naẓm (structure) position as one of the main aspects of miracles of al-Qur’ān. It explains that although al-Qur’ānis in Arabic, but it does not use the form and composition of models that have been used by the Arabs in their works. Al-Qur’ān performs in different way, not in the form of poetry, rhyme, letter or speech, but in kalām (theword). The article then explains that the way to make sense of this kalām was used as a pioneering theory by ‘Abd al-Qāhir al-Jurjānī. This theory is then used and applied by al-Alūsī in his commentary book, Rūḥ al-Ma‘ānī. This study shows the importance of the naẓm of al-Qur’ān, in which it becomes specific guidelines for researcher to understand the message of the Qur’ān.Keywords: Qur’ānic miracles, naẓm, al-Alūsī.DOI: 10.15408/ref.v13i6.996

Abstract

This article states that an approach of Western philosophy in understanding the Qur’ān contextually can be performed to grasp meaning which is much suitable with today condition and in a place we live (here). In this relation, hermeneutic is one of the approaches of Western philosophy used by several contemporary Muslim scholars such as Fazlur Rahman,Mohammad Arkoun, and Naṣr Ḥāmid Abū Zayd. This writing also wants to show a model of reading by Naṣr Ḥāmid Abū Zayd as an example that philosophical approach is used to interpret the Qur’ān.DOI: 10.15408/ref.v13i4.913

Abstract

Harshness on behalf of religion, through the idiom of Amar makruf nahi mungkar, is frequently vague (similar but different.) The spirit to blindly perform Amar makruf nahi mungkar (with haphazardly act) will fīnally result harshness. Instead of accomplishing religious teaching, it even would break its teachings themselves. Therefore, intact understanding towards the teaching of amr ma‘rūf and nahy munkaris strongly required, in support of avoiding harshness which uses religion. Ḥadīth, as a basic of religion, is so often understood without integral comprehension. Consequently, ‘harshness’ within amar makruf nahi mungkar is perceived as indication of a person’s strong faith, and the only way to perform amar makruf nahi mungkar. This writing tries to give proportional understanding of amar makruf nahi mungkar which is taught by the religion and is different from the religious harshness.DOI: 10.15408/ref.v13i3.903

Abstract

Abstract

Hadith scholars are individuals who play an important role in the spread of the Prophetic traditions. in the midst of his people, as an authoritative source after the Qur'an for the complete Islamic legal construct, which was previously discovered and compiled by the Imam of Hadith (mukharrijūn) in their canonical books, like Imam Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl al-Bukhārī (d. 256 H) in “Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī” and Muslim Imam ibn al-Ḥajjāj al-Naysābūrī (d. 261 H) in “Muslim Ṣaḥīḥ”, through long tracing from one country to another in order to obtain directly one history from the source. The position of the Hadith scholars in this regard, who are at the spearhead of the spread of the Hadiths after their collection by the Imam of the Hadith, as well as their existence and consistency in guarding the Hadith from various forms of deviation of understanding of the people, become an integral part of an integral circle named Hadith, as a saying of the Prophet, the Rabbis and the Imams.

Abstract

The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is very famous for the amar ma'ruf and nahi mungkar movement, and launched the national anti-immoral movement. However their movement always seems to use violence, so there is a presumption that FPI's religious pattern shows the influence of petro Islam that rigidly and textually-dominated with a harsh understanding to the practice of violation on religious values. With the semantic approach to the Habib Riziq’s book entitled Dialog FPI-Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar, this paper prove that the FPI's interpretation to the Qur'an and hadiths which is the reference of their every action, has used a contextual approach, but seems that their understanding is less comprehensive.
