Abstract

Perlakuan panas (heat treatment) merupakan kombinasi antara pemanasan dan pendinginan yang terkontrolterhadap logam/baja atau paduan dalam keadaan padat dengan durasi waktu untuk memperoleh sifat-sifat tertentu.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan Quenching dengan variasi pendingin konsentrasi airgaram dan untuk mengetahui variasi pendinginan konsentrasi air garam mana yang mampu menghasilkan kekerasandan kekuatan tarik yang paling baik pada plat baja ST 37.Metode penelitian dimulai degan pembuatan spesimendengan standart ASTM A370, lalu dilanjutkan dengan proses pemanasan spesimen dalam dapur pemanas hinggamencapai suhu 830oC dan setelah itu proses pendinginan dengan variasi larutan garam 18%, 23% dan 28%. Hasiluji kekerasan menunjukan kekerasan maksimal diperoleh pada spesimen dengan variasi 72% air + 28% garam yaitusebesar 93,3 HRB. Untuk hasil dari pengujian tarik didapatkan kekuatan tarik maksimal pada spesimen denganvariasi 82% air + 18% garam yaitu sebesar 133,14 MPa

Abstract

Penyaluran minyak umumnya menggunakan material pipa baja karbon. Permasahan dalam penggunaan material tersebut terkait dengan korosi dan biasanya terjadi kebocoran akibat pengaruh konsentrasi ion klorida. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui laju korosi yang diperoleh menggunakan pengujian metode pengukuran metal loss dengan ultrasonic thickness meter. Penelitian dilakukan dengan variasi konsentrasi klorida 1%, 2% dan 3% dalam larutan air.. Metode pengujian menggunakan peralatan ultrasonic thickness meter yang dilakukan di lapangan secara random dan berdasarkan general metal loss diperoleh nilai rata-rata laju korosi 0.174 mm/year. Laju korosi internal pipa baja karbon API 5L Grade B cenderung meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi klorida dalam media larutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pipa baja karbon API 5L Grade B memiliki ketahanan korosi yang cukup pada fluida dengan konsentrasi klorida 1%, 2% dan 3.5% .

Abstract

Welding Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) is welding process using electrodes as a producer of flame arcs and noble gases as protectors. In the TIG welding parameters that must be considered are the welding speed, current and electrode diameter. The selection of the right welding parameters can produce optimum physical and mechanical properties. This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Mechanical Engenering Mechanical Engenering Study Program AKPRIND Yogyakarta Institut & Technology.Science The aim of this study is entitled the effect of welding speed of Tungsten Inert Gas on physical micro structure and Mechanical properties of tensile strenght the greatest impact welding medium carbon steel. The welding speeds chosen are 1,5 dan 9 mm/sec. The result of the research produced welding speeds of 1,5 and 9 mm/sec were for tensile strenght of 44.06, 42,16 and 40,16 kg/mm2 , the impact price were a70,21, 127,28 and 101,99 Joule, and the amount the pearlite item are 269,260 and 250 grain.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to illustrate whether training strategy in the research can increase students writing motivation and (2) to find out the advantages and disadvantages of training strategy in the research for students of Mechanical Engineering STTR Cepu. This School Action Research was carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle 1 includes 2 meetings, while cycle 2 is 1 meeting. The data used in this study is qualitative data. Qualitative data is taken from observations, questions and answers, questionnaires, and product results. The data has been analyzed using the Constant Comparative Method. The findings of the study using a training strategy are: (1) increasing students writing motivation, including: a) curiosity, b) students’ effort, c) students’ perseverance, and d) students’ experience. The increase can also be shown by the average number of participants from each meeting increasing and the product results of students also increasing. There are 12 research titles and there are 2 research proposals made by participants. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the training in the preparation of research can increase students’ motivation to write.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIndonesia has 17 diverse cultures that have been recognized by UNESCO, one of which is batik.There is recognition from UNESCO that Indonesian cultural heritage of batik may not berecognized by other countries. Batik as a cultural heritage has its own uniqueness, to maintain theuniqueness of batik, it is necessary to document batik motifs. Batik motifs can be documented bychanging batik motifs into images or images. One way to change batik motifs into images is by using optical devices such as cameras,scanners, and so on. The authenticity of batik motifs from the documentation needs to be done bydetecting the edge of the batik so that the batik motif can be maintained properly. One methodused is to use the canny method in Matlab 2013, but edge detection with canny has weaknesses inimages that have uneven gray values, so to level up the grayishness of batik it is necessary toimprove the image using the histogram equalization method. Detection of batik edges with image improvement using histogram equalization methodand canny method can improve the detection results with the number of test data 13 with a totalof batik images that can be repaired 10 batik images and 3 batik images have not been able to berepaired. The best MSE value is 0.229538 and PSNR is 54.5563. Poor value with MSE 0.676356and PSNR 49,863.

Abstract

As an institution engaged in calibration services at the Center for Oil and Gas Human Resource Development Cepu, the Oil and Gas CalibrationLaboratory needs to continually make breakthroughs or steps so as to improve service to customers. A faster service time and an accountableand credible system are some prerequisites for improving service. In the improvement of calibration services at the Oil and Gas CalibrationLaboratory with the emphasis on information systems, a relatively fast, precise and accurate system is needed. To avoid inefficiency,inefficiency and to improve performance in serving the applicants, it is necessary to design the information system of Oil and Gas CalibrationLab. By using the approach through several stages to analyze and design the system, the process is developed through the use of a cycle ofactivity analyzer and user in a specific (structured), the method SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) with waterfall model. In this systemfor making program online using PHP and MySQL programming language by using CodeIgniter. This information system consists ofcomponents applying for calibration, data input process until calibration certificate information. So that this information system can assist inthe process of calibration service and make agenda report receipt of goods quickly, accurately and easily.

Abstract

A study of concept understanding was carried out on Electrical Engineering students about the concept of electricity. This research was conducted to obtain an overview of the level of understanding of the basic concepts of electrical material in Electrical Engineering students at STTR Cepu. To identify the level of understanding of student concepts or student misconceptions on electrical material, multiple choice instruments using the CRI (Certain of Response Index) method are used. The CRI method can also be used to identify students who experience misconceptions, students who understand concepts, and students who do not understand concepts. Based on the research data there are five questions from the basic concept of electricity that students have low conceptual understanding or misconceptions. The results showed that students with a low understanding of the concept of as much as 70% in the concept of electric current, voltage in the circuit, variable resistance, kirchoff law and electric power.

Abstract

Abstrak Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecepatan pemisahan (creaming velocity) antara dua fluida yang berfasa sama namun memiliki perbedaan densitas. Kajian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan mengamati dan mengukur waktu pisah (settling time) pada tabung kaca dengan variasi diameter.Pengukuran waktu pisah dilakukan lima kali untuk setiap diameter tabung. Waktu pisah yang di peroleh digunakan sebagai dasar untuk menghitung diameter tetesan/droplet, konsentrasi tetesan, kecepatan pemisahan/creaming velocity dan Vstokes. Hasil perhitungan yang di peroleh diploting untuk membandingkan nilai konsentrasi tetesan (droplet consentration/Φ) terhadap kecepatan pemisahan (creaming velocity) pada campuran biodiesel/gliserin dan untuk mencari nilai Φc (fraksi volume fase biodiesel yang terdispersi rapat dalam gliserin/konsentrasi tetesan) dan k (konstanta pemisahan). Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi nilai konsentrasi tetesan (Φ) maka kecepatan pemisahannya (V cream) akan semakin berkurang dan dari persamaan Hunter bahwa V = Vstokes(1- )k.Φc , maka didapatkan nilai k dan Φc masing – masing adalah (5,1 ; 0,6 ; 1,2) dan (0,461 ; 0,9 ; 0,69) pada percobaan I, II, III dengan diameter tabung (1,3 ; 2,8 ; 3,9) cm.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai paparan fume pengelasan pada pengelas di Divisi Kendaraan Khusus PT. X telah dilakukan. Penggunaan mesin Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) semakin luas di kawasan industri sehingga dampak kesehatan yang ditimbulkan fume pengelasan harus menjadi perhatian. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai paparan yang diterima pengelas. Kelompok non-pengelas merupakan pekerja di bagian administrasi digunakan sebagai pembanding. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan personal sampling pump terkalibrasi yang telah dipasang filter Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE). Metode Gravimetri digunakan untuk menghitung konsentrasi partikulat terespirasi dan Indeks Bahaya (HI) digunakan untuk mengetahui bahaya dari proses pengelasan. Rata-rata konsentrasi partikulat terespirasi pada pengelas sebesar 7.913,94 μg/m3, sedangkan pada non-pengelas 219,91 μg/m3. Indeks Bahaya (HI) kelompok pengelas sebesar 9,45 sedangkan pada kelompok non-pengelas 0,51. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan tindakan pencegahan untuk mengurangi bahaya fume pengelasan. Abstract

Industrial waste pollution from the upstream of the Bengawan Solo river, makes the river's quality unfit for various purposes. Water filtering needs to be done first to improve its quality. One of them is the absorption process. One of the adsorbents that have good prospects is rice husk waste because of its ability to bind the adsorbate components. Study related to the effectiveness of rice husk charcoal as a water filter material need to be carried out before it can be used as a water filter material. Making appropriate filter technology needs to be done to apply it. The results of the analysis show that the filter can improve the physical parameters of water, namely reducing the residue by 25% on average. Meanwhile, from inorganic chemical parameters, only DO (Dissolved Oxygen) elements have decreased in quality standards. The organic chemical parameters, namely the phenol content are relatively constant, this indicates that rice husk charcoal is not effective in binding phenols. Based on Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001, the filtered water is classified as Class I. However, in its use, other parameters that have not been studied should be studied, namely microbiology, other organic chemistry, radioactivity, etc.The technological capacity needs to be increased by the use of a larger body and or a reduction in the thickness of the filter layer. Meanwhile, the manufacture of rice husk charcoal should use controlled combustion mechanisms and or husk charcoal activation with the chemical Na OH to strengthen the properties of the husk charcoal adsorbent against harmful chemical compounds.
