Abstract

Abstract. Mosaic is a creation that arrangs a piece of geometric in a space. This mosaic design which has geometric line character enrichs the-varieties of mosaic designs more attractive and various. The result of research is to develop the mosaic design in rectangle interior for geometric line the character and it needs some steps follows: (1) constructing pieces of rectangle in which the size is arranged in geometric line form through spot among each side, (2) fill each piece with the previous result step (1) fill curve permanently or exchang by using the rotation or dilatation, (3) combains some rectangles with the previous result (2) and colors the background or the filling curve.   Key Words: geometric line, mosaic design.

Abstract

Abstract. Quantum Teaching is a concept that describes the new ways to facilitate the learning process. This concept has been widely used in a class to improve the student achievement. Type of this research is a developmental research by using 4-D model, it consists 4 steps namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subject of a research is an equation of straight line for grade VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Maesan. The data collection methods used in this research are validation, observation, questionnaire, and test. The result of the research are Sillaby, Teaching Plan, Teacher Book, Student Book, Work Sheet, and achievement test. All the learning materials obtained from this research satisfy the effectiveness criteria and the student achievement is 85.18% of student get score bigger than 60. Key Words : Developmental Research, Characters, Quantum Teaching, 4-D model.

Abstract

Abstrak. Banyak permasalahan di lingkungan kehidupan kita yang dapat dibentuk ke dalam model matematika sehingga dapat dianalisis secara matematik. Salah satu permasalahan itu adalah kejadian endemi, seperti transmisi penyakit malaria. Model matematika transmisi penyakit malaria berbentuk system Persamaan Diferensial Biasa (PDB) non linier orde satu. Dalam tulisan ini akan dibahas efektivitas dan efisiensi metode Runge-Kutta orde delapan yang dibandingkan dengan metode Adams Bashforth-Moulton orde sembilan. Selain itu juga akan dicari sifat-sifat, formula, konvergenitas, dan format pemrograman MATLAB dari metode itu. Efektivitas suatu metode bergantung pada error. Sedangkan efisiensi bergantung pada waktu tempuh suatu metode untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi dan eksperimen. Hasil dari tulisan ini yaitu sifat dan formula metode Runge-Kutta orde delapan, pembuktian konvergensi metode tersebut secara teoritis, dan format pemrograman yang hasilnya digunakan untuk menentukan metode yang paling efektif dan efisien untuk menyelesaikan model transmisi penyakit malaria. Kata kunci : Efektivitas, Efisiensi, Metode Runge-Kutta, Transmisi malaria.

Abstract

Abstract.Mass spring system is a system composed of objects that have mass and are connected by a spring. The series of spring can be composed of several pieces of spring are mounted in series or parallel as required. The springs are mounted in series will reduce the value of the spring constant, while the installation of spring in parallel to increase the value of the spring constant. This studyaimed toexamine thebehavior ofthe spring system, both without and with thefrictioncreatedfrictionwith the variationof mass,spring constantand theformationof differentspring system. Formationspring systemis theformation ofa simplespring systemarranged in seriesorparallel. The stage of research was conducted on the determination of the mathematical equations for the motion of the mass determined from the equilibrium position of the spring system formation include a mass spring system connected to two springs arranged series, a mass spring system connected to two springs arranged parallel and two mass spring system connected by two springs arranged series, then made a spring system simulation program. Abstract

Abstract. The goals of this research were: (1) to describe the application of cooperative learning model by co-op co-op type with experiment method to increasethe activity and the result of student learning at 8th Junior High School 2 Rambipuji; (2) to describe the improvement of students learning activitiesat 8th Junior High School 2 Rambipuji; (3) to describe improvement of achievement at 8th Junior High School 2Rambipuji. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research. The research methodology of this study used Hopkins scheme model which is spiral shaped. Data collection method of this research used observation, documentation, interview, and test. The data analysis used: (1) the percentage of students learning activities; (2) the percentage of achievement. This research was done through two cycles and there was two meeting in every cycle. The percentage classically of achievement in first cycle was 84,09%. The percentage of students learning activities at first cycle was 72,21% and it involved in active category. In the second cycle, percentage classically of achievement was coming high become 86,36% and the percentage of students learning activities at second cycle was 75,81% and it involved in active category. Abstract

Abstract. One of the factors that caused students less comprehension to subject material is students were not guided to find the concepts of taught material. During this time, most of the teachers more used Classical Learning by using Tutorial Method and Cooperative Learning Model that only applied Discussion and Question Answer Method without guided the students to find the concepts of the taught material. Experiential Learning model is one of the learning model that can be used to overcome the problem. This learning model consists of four steps. The steps are Concrete Experience (CE), Reflection Observation (RO), Abstract Conceptualization (AC), and Active Experimentation (AE). This research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR) used two cycles. Every cycle consists of twice learning and once test in the last. The research that had been done in SMP Salafiyah Miftahul Huda Jenggawah Jember showed that the students learning achievement on Circle Elements theme used the implementation of Experiential Learning Model got increased. Abstract

Abstract. Development of the character-based approach to Contextual Teaching and Learning. Contextual Teaching and Learning is one of learning method that make students learn mathematics by connecting the material to the real life. The material is drawn is a linier equation of one variable in class VII junior hight school of SMPN 3 Bangsalsari. In this development using the development model camps. The charakters are developed responsibility, respect and discipline. The device being developed include the lesson plan, student worksheet, and student book. The data collection method used in this research with question responses, student observation, teacher observation and student achievement test. The result of the validation study validity coefficient lesson plans, student books, student worksheet, respectively 0,818; 0,791; 0,812. Observation of the average activity of teachers in managing the learning of 88.00% and analysis average student activity by 88.89% with Average achievement test mastery of 75.97. From analisis it was found that devices made have valid, practical and effective. Key Words : Lesson plan, student worksheet, student book.

Abstract

Abstract.Web based learning is attractive and innovative learning that can be used in class. The goal of the research is to know about process and result of developing of mathematics learning instrument based on web cooperative model type STAD with moodle application for triangle topic grade VII junior high shool. The research used developmental model Plomp. The subject of the research is student of VIIA in MTs Al Qodiri I Jember for even semester 2012/2013 academic year. The datas is validation sheets, activities of student and teacher’s observation sheets, questionner,and evaluation test. The products of the research are lesson plan, student worksheet, student book, evaluation test, and learning media.The result of this research is the learning instrument that developed is valid, pragmatic, and effective. Abstract. The research aims to know the process and result of development of mathematics learning instrumentswith Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model for cube and cuboid topic at eight grade of Junior High School.The purposes of CIRC learning model are improvingstudents ability to understanding mathematic problem solving. Learning instrumentsdevelopment model refers to 4D Thiagarajanmodels which has 4 steps namely define, design, develop, and disseminate.The data of research are obtained by validation sheet, observation sheet of teacher and students activities, questionnaire, and evaluation test.The product of this research are lesson plan, worksheet, student handbook, and evaluation test.The result shows that the learning instruments qualifies validity, practical, and effective criteria. Abstract

Abstract. The Using of unsuitable learning model will result unoptimal learning. To avoid this, the teacher should be careful enough in selecting and using learning models, especially involve students actively. The result of information obtained from interviews with mathematic teacher, the assessment carried out based on one test only. This research was conducted to improve the grade VIII D student’s learning achievement and their active participation through the implication of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) method of cooperative learning type with authentic assessment on the surface area and volume of the pyramid at MTsN 1 Arjasa in the 2012/2013 academic year. The research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR), and the data collecting methods were observation, test, interview, and documentation. From the actions implemented in each cycle, it was proved that the students’ score improved from 66,65 in Cycle 1, to 78,94 in Cycle II. Thus, the average percentage of the second cycle was 83,33% and it fulfilled the research criteria, it showed that the implication of STAD can improve the students’ learning achievment and their active participation.
