Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to produce valid development of 4C’s indicators which are in accordance to the curriculum of 2013 for tenth grade of Senior High School/MA on trigonometry subject. The type of research used is a modified Plomp’s development model consisting of 4 phases: preliminary investigation, design phase, realization/construction phase, and test, evaluation and revision phase. The development in this research is 4C's indicators which are in accordance to the curriculum of 2013 for tenth grade of Senior High School/MA on trigonometry subject consisting of 12 basic competencies. Instrument which was used is validation sheet of 4c’s indicators that are in accordance to the curriculum of 2013. The results of this development are validated by 5 validators. The results of the recapitulation showed that the total number of 4C's indicators developed amounted to 97. The largest percentage lies in critical thinking ability indicators which is equal to 41.23%. Furthermore, the percentage of creative ability indicators is equal to 16,49%, percentage of collaboration ability indicators is equal to 16,49%, and percentage of communication ability indicators is equal to 25,77%. The results of the development of 4C's indicators have a coefficient of 3.93 which is categorized as good. So, the development of 4C's indicators that are in accordance to the curriculum of 2013 for tenth grade of Senior High School/MA on trigonometry subject has met the criteria of validity. Abstract

Abstract. Based on interview results, some students said that gradient was the most difficulted topic. It caused by learning model that teacher used is monotonous and too bored, that’s why we need Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) with games media to solve the problem. Through the games media, students are expected to be easily in understanding mathematical concepts especially to solve problems that related to the topic of gradient. This study aims to knowing the effectiveness of MMP’s learning model with games media on Equation of Straight Line’s topic for student’s mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a pure experimental research with Posttest-only control design design. The population are all of students in second class of SMP Negeri 1 Banyuglugur. Sampling is choosed by cluster random sampling technique. The sample consisted of 2 kinds of class. Hypothesis testing method that used in this research is T test (One Sample Test). This research show that H0 was rejected with tcount = 3,416 > ttable = 2,060 and p-value = 0,002 ˂ 0,025. It means that the learning model of MMP with games media on Equation of Straight Line’s topic is effective for student’s mathematics learning outcomes. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to produce a product to attract students’ interest in learning mathematics tha tested the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of using e-Comic based technology as a learning supplement to the application of quadratic functions. The development of technology is very rapid resulted in many students’ more interested in in using gadgets such as computer, laptops, handphone, and tablets rather than reading the textbook activities. This research was processed through the stages of 4D that is define, design, development, and disseminate. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 7 Jember which involved 32 students’ of class 9B. The result of the research show that the development media is valid according to the material expert and the media expert with the percentage of the archieved value 95,3% from validator I, 89% from validator II, and validator III gives 96% value. Effective media with learning test reasult followed 32 students’ in this research show 81,25% complete. Quetionnaire showed a percentage of a 94% from student for practicality. Abstract

Ethnomatematics is the application of mathematics in cultural life. The purpose of this study was to describe the ethnomatematic activity of the Jejer Jaran Dawuk Banyuwangi dance in Sanggar Jingga Putih Banyuwangi. The product produced in this study is in the form of geometric teaching materials, namely the test problem Package with the topic of Ethnomatematics. This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection methods used are observation and interviews. The research subjects were 3 peoples Banyuwangi Culture, dance teacher, and dancer Jejer Jaran Dawuk Banyuwangi. Ethnomatematics is seen when dancers dance a dance to measure, calculate, and design activities. At the time of the process of determining the time to start the dance and the time of change of movement appeared the concept of counting. When determining the distance between dancers, the concept of measuring distance using nonstandard size appears. When performing dance moves and floor patterns, the concept of designing lines, angles, and waking up appears flat. The results of the study are geometry teaching materials in the form of test packages. The test package is intended for junior high school students of class IX. Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of problem solving students based on the Polya stages in terms of cognitive style. The problem solving profile is a general description or description of the activities of solving mathematical problems carried out by students using previously acquired knowledge. The description is related to the psychological cognitive style possessed by students. Psychological cognitive style is divided into 2, namely the independent and field dependent cognitive style fields. Analysis of students' answers in the problem of the Two Variable Linear Equation System based on the 4 stages of the Polya consists of understanding the problem, making a plan of completion, implementing the completion plan and checking again. The instruments used were GEFT test, problem solving test, Two Variable Linear Equation System, and interview. The subjects of the study were 6 VIIIE class students at Genteng 2 Public Middle School. In general, field independent students are better at solving problems than field dependent students. Keywords: Cognitive Style, Problem Solving, Polya Stage, Profile.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students who experience deficiencies in reading writing, and counting (calistung). Mathematical communication ability consists of mathematical communication skills in verbal and in writing. The subjects of this study were 4 students in the calistung class. The method of data collection is through tests, interviews, and observations. Based on the results of the analysis, the mathematical communication skills of the calistung participants (reading, writing and counting) were in the range of the lowest three levels. Student 1 (S1) is at level 2 which is good enough. Student 2 (S2) mathematical communication skills are at level 2 which is quite good. Student 3 (S3) mathematical communication skills are at level 2 which is quite good. The mathematical communication ability of Student 4 (S4) is at level 1 which can be said to be of poor ability because it only fulfills 9 indicators out of all 32 indicators. Abstract

Abstract. This research purpose to analyze students error problem solving math story on the subject SPLDV in class X APH 2 SMKN 5 Jember, using Newman’s Error Analysis (NEA). The analyze will be related to the kinesthetic learning style. The research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was done by tests, questionnaires and interviews. Based on the result of this research, kinesthetic students tend to make error on comprehension, transformation, process skill and encoding. Each students has their own unique way in solving the problem at every stage Newman. However, in general, students with kinesthetic learning style tend to solve problems with trial and error strategies and often misconceive because they do not understand what they mean when imagined. Abstract.The research aims toknow process and result of developing of mathematics learning intruments based on investigation approach and assistede-learning with LMS Moodle fortrigonometry topic at tenthgrade ofseniorhigh school. The research development modle refers to4D Thiagarajan models. The subject of research is students of X2 class SMAN Rambipuji in even semester academic year 2012-2013. The data of research are obtained by validation sheet, observation sheet of teacher and students activities, questionnaire, and evaluation test.Theproduct of thisresearch are lesson plan, student handbook, worksheet, evaluation test, and e-learning site.The result shows that the learning instrumentsqualifies validity, practical, and effective criteria. Abstract

This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this research were 38 students of Class X KL SMK Negeri 1 Situbondo, Situbondo Regency. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of learning mathematics using the STAD method on the subject of Relations and Functions. Data collection tools and methods used in this research were tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results of this study 80% of students are happy about cooperative skills, and 75.5% argue that the device used is new. In addition, students' responses about process skills 82.6% were happy and 72.2% thought that the process skills used were relatively new. From these data shows that students like to be involved in learning using cooperative skills and process skills, especially in the process of observing skills where the opinions of students feel happy in doing observations by 95.7%.
