Abstract

Scientific journal evaluation plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and credibility of scientific publications. However, research mapping journal evaluation as a basis for strengthening journal accreditation is currently limited. This study aims to identify global research patterns, trends, and dynamics related to scientific journal evaluation to support the development of journal accreditation policies in Indonesia. This study used a bibliometric approach to 336 Scopus-indexed publications. Data were collected through a Scopus database search using relevant keywords as research instruments. The data were analyzed using bibliometric analysis, including publication performance, keyword co-occurrence, co-citation, and collaboration networks. The results show that journal evaluation studies have evolved from traditional bibliometric indicators, such as impact factor and citation analysis, to a multidimensional approach that emphasizes transparency, publication ethics, and open access. Furthermore, Scientometrics and the Journal of Informetrics are core journals, while China and the United States dominate global collaboration networks. This study concludes that strengthening national journal accreditation needs to be based on transparent governance, international collaboration, and measurable evaluation indicators. These findings provide an empirical basis for developing a journal accreditation system that is more credible, adaptive, and aligned with global scientific publication standards.

Abstract

The low creative thinking ability of elementary school students remains a problem in science learning. In addition, the learning model used has not fully encouraged the integration of 21st-century skills such as creativity and problem-solving. This study aims to analyze the STEAM-based Project-Based Learning (STEAM-PjBL) learning model to improve students' creative thinking abilities. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development design. The research subjects consisted of 45 fifth-grade students. Data collection was carried out through validation sheets from material experts and model experts, teacher and student response questionnaires, and creative thinking ability tests through pretests and posttests. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential methods, including paired samples t-tests. The results of the study indicate that the developed STEAM-PjBL model is in the very valid category, received very positive responses from teachers and students, and has proven effective in improving students' creative thinking abilities. Thus, this learning model is suitable for use in science learning in elementary schools. The implication of this research is to provide an alternative, innovative learning model that teachers can apply to optimize the development of student creativity.

Abstract

Communication skills are one of the key competencies needed in the workplace, but educational institutions have not been able to optimally develop these skills in students. The use of conventional learning methods that are still dominant results in low student participation and interaction in the learning process. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model in improving students' communication skills. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review design. The research subjects consisted of 25 scientific articles relevant to the TGT model and communication skills, which were selected based on inclusion criteria. The data collection method used documentation techniques with instruments in the form of document analysis sheets compiled based on communication skills indicators. Instrument validity was carried out through content validity testing and source triangulation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the TGT model significantly improved students' communication skills, as indicated by increased participation, interaction, and students' ability to convey ideas. This study concludes that the TGT model is effective in improving students' communication skills. The implications of this study indicate that the application of innovative and interactive learning models needs to be optimized to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

In Indonesia’s multicultural society, frictions and conflicts among religious communities persist due to the emergence of extremist interpretations of religion. In this context, this study aims to comprehensively examine the dynamics of the Buddhist Religious Institution of the Indonesian Theravada Buddhist Council (MAGABUDHI). This research employs an interpretative qualitative approach, presented through descriptive and interpretative analysis. Primary data were obtained from key informants, consisting of the Chairperson of the Regional Board of MAGABUDHI, six religious leaders, and six members of MAGABUDHI. Secondary data were derived from relevant literature. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research instruments included interview guidelines, audio recording devices, and visual recording tools. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive techniques, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal three main aspects. First, the dynamics of MAGABUDHI Pandita are influenced by both internal and external factors. Second, the forms of these dynamics encompass the processes of recruitment, guidance, and activities of MAGABUDHI Pandita. Third, the dynamics of MAGABUDHI Pandita have significant implications for the social and religious life of Buddhist communities in Jakarta. Through the consistent efforts of MAGABUDHI Pandita in fostering moral values and strengthening integrity in guiding their communities, the balanced and just practice of religious teachings can be realized. This study concludes that MAGABUDHI Pandita actively promote religious moderation by encouraging their followers to embrace a religious orientation grounded in the Middle Way (Majjhima Paṭipadā), emphasizing moderation and a return to the essential purpose of religious teachings, namely, the humanization of humanity.
