Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora (JISH) is a journal that uses a double-blind peer review model that can be accessed online. The purpose of JISH is to publish a journal containing quality articles that will be able to contribute thoughts from a theoretical and empirical perspective in society and humanities at a regional, national, and global scale. The writings at JISH will significantly contribute to critical thinking in the area of society and humanities. The scope of the fields contained in JISH covers the following areas: social work, social welfare, social change, and social policy; humanism and human rights; corporate governance, and community studies; crosscultural and multiculturalism studies; population, and development studies; ethics, and intergroup relations; war, conflict, and international relations; linguistics, literature, and media studies; performing arts (music, theatre, and dance); studies of inequality (class, race and gender studies); and other related areas. Articles published on research results and literature review with acceptable research methodologies, qualitative studies, quantitative studies, or a combination of both, statistical analysis, case studies, field research, and historical studies. JISH received manuscripts from various related circles, such as relevant researchers, professors, students, policy-makers, scientists, and others.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis eksistensi kesenian Besutan di Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa pengamatan, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan divalidasi menggunakan triangulasi. Data yang telah berhasil dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan konsep analisis data model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kesenian besutan merupakan kesenian tradisional yang muncul pada tahun 1907.  Besutan pertama kali dibawakan oleh Pak Santik dengan cara amen atau berkeliling dari rumah ke rumah dengan menghias dirinya dengan cara mencoret-coret wajahnya. Namun sekarang kesenian Besutan menjadi kesenian yang jarang ditemui, oleh karena itu pemerintah dan pelaku seni melakukan berbagai upaya agar kesenian Besutan menjadi kesenian yang tetap ada dan dinikmati oleh semua masyarakat terutama masyarakat Kabupaten Jombang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of social assistance at the Bina Siwi Orphanage, which focuses on developing human resources. The data analysis used qualitative research methods from the results of the library study and the effects of interviews, and then the data was processed with the help of NVivo 12 Plus software with the Crosstab Query, World Cloud feature so that from the data obtained a score that can be assessed for its effectiveness in the utilization of human resource development. This research focuses on the Bina Siwi Orphanage in utilizing social assistance. The study results can be concluded that social service has been carried out well and has been effective. The development of human resources at the orphanage can meet the needs of daily life, such as three meals a day, school education, skills development, and health insurance. Furthermore, the study results positively impact other institutions in the management of social assistance for the advancement of human resources.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dinamika akses masyarakat terhadap sumberdaya air tawar di Kawasan Taman Nasional Komodo, serta bertujuan untuk pembuktian teori Homer-Dixon dan Gleick mengenai konflik berbasis sumberdaya alam. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua tempat yaitu Pulau Komodo dan Pulau Rinca yang berada dalam Kawasan Taman Nasional Komodo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Informan yang diwawancara adalah tokoh masyarakat, kepala desa, komunitas adat, dan komunitas nelayan. Proses analisis data dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertama, kelangkaan sumberdaya air tawar di Kawasan Taman Nasional Komodo tidak menimbulkan terjadinya konflik dalam masyarakat, dan kedua tidak terjadi migrasi penduduk secara besar-besaran dari wilayah langka air ke wilayah lain. Faktor pen dukung kondisi ini adalah nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat yang menjunjung tinggi sikap gotong royong dan saling percaya yang menciptakan harmoni sosial. Temuan ini menjadi penemuan baru dari pengembangan teori Homer-Dixon dan Gleick yang menyatakan kelangkaan sumberdaya alam menciptakan konflik, namun tidak terjadi dalam konteks masyarakat di Pulau Komodo dan Pulau Rinca.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi terus meningkat termasuk promosi online dan pasar digital. Keduanya memudahkan berbelanja menuju perilaku konsumtif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Pertukaran Sosial karya Peter Blau untuk membahas komunitas Joli Jolan, yang menawarkan transaksi barang, barter, untuk memperkuat peran sosial dalam mencegah perilaku konsumtif. Tujuan penelitian ini membahas komunitas Joli Jolan sebagai pasar alternatif agar masyarakat tidak berperilaku konsumtif di era digital. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus ini melibatkan dua belas informan, termasuk satu pelopor Joli Jolan, empat anggota tetap, dan tujuh pengunjung. Wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi telah digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data primer dan sekunder, lalu dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penyimpulan. Temuan menegaskan bahwa masyarakat hidup berperilaku konsumtif karena faktor eksternal: pemasaran online, promosi, dan kampanye. Sebagai antitesa baru, komunitas Joli Jolan telah membangkitkan pemasaran konvensional: barter, Food Not Boom, workshop, dan pembagian susu gratis. Pengunjung dan anggota Joli Jolan menikmati suasana kehidupan sosial menyenangkan ini. Mereka menikmati pertukaran barang untuk menghemat uang. Mereka menikmati pembicaraan informal, kesenangan dan makanan gratis dari komunitas Joli Jolan. Mereka juga mengikuti lokakarya untuk memahami perilaku konsumtif dan tata kelola kas keluarga. Anggota Joli Jolan mengapresiasi donasi dari masyarakat dan pengunjung. Dana tersebut kemudian mereka gunakan untuk membina lingkungan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, komunitas Joli Jolan telah menjadi a unique social market yang dipercaya dan berkelanjutan dilakukan oleh dan untuk komunitas.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan narkoba dan perilaku seks bebas sangat akrab dan dekat dengan perilaku remaja saat ini dan kondisi tersebut semakin mencemaskan semua pihak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan penyalahgunaan narkoba dan perilaku seks bebas dengan penyakit menular seksual di Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan analisis statistika menggunakan Uji Korelasi Rank Spearman terhadap 26 orang responden yang diwawancarai. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variable penyaahgunaan narkoba dan seks bebas berkaitan erat dengan resiko tertularnya penyakit seksual seperti HIV/AIDs, Spilis/Gonorhoe, Hepatitis C dan Herpes Kelamin dalam kategori tinggi (67.2%) dengan nilai korelasi sangat signifikan pada nilai 0.629. Seks bebas dan penyalahgunaan narkoba suntik dapat menularkan penyakit atau infeksi menular seksual secara langsung. Untuk Kota Tasikmalaya penularan penyakit atau infeksi menular seksual lebih dominan diakibatkan dari perilaku seks bebas yang dilakukan oleh lelaki sesama lelaki (LSL) atau homoseksual.

Abstract

Tourists' visits to rural areas are increasingly experiencing growth. However, the community has not taken advantage of tourism as an opportunity to increase income. The research aims to identify the factors driving and inhibiting homestay management by the community, analyze the community's capacities and opportunities for homestay management, and propose a community capacity-building model for homestay management. This research employs a qualitative approach through a case study in Maen Village, Likupang, North Minahasa Regency. The research was carried out in 2020 through two periods of visits with interviews with residents and observation. The research reveals that the community had not yet optimized their house as a homestay. Residents' houses only serve as lodging for mining workers. However, residents do not mind providing their house as an accommodation based on homestay management principles. The strategic location of Maen Village, the hospitality of the residents, and the use of people's houses as lodging are the driving forces for homestay management. A weak understanding of homestay is a challenge for most residents. Community capacity still needs to be improved with various training programs. This study proposes two homestay management models and development, including, entrepreneurial-based community capacity model and a homestay management model based on digital marketing principles. This research validates the concept of community capacity through homestay management. In addition, the paper provides an insight on how to utilize the opportunities possessed by the local community to obtain alternative income through homestay management.

Abstract

Culinary tourism is a form of tourism that is currently developing. Studies on the preferences of culinary tourists will be beneficial for the development of this form of tourism in the future. This study analyzes the influence of tourism product attributes: tourist attraction, accessibility, and amenities on revisit intention to a culinary tourism area. This study used a survey method. The questionnaire was distributed to 100 domestic tourists who visited the culinary tourism area in Bogor City, Indonesia. Methods of data analysis using descriptive analysis, multiple regression, F-test, and T-test. This study indicated that tourist attraction has a positive and significant effect on revisit intention, while accessibility and amenities do not affect revisit intention. However, tourist attraction, accessibility, and amenities simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on revisit intention. This study concluded that the dominant attribute of culinary tourism products is a tourist attraction that includes a variety of food and distinctiveness.

Abstract

Danau Cipondoh adalah salah satu obyek wisata yang ada di Kota Tangerang dengan daya tarik yang memiliki nilai jual, diikuti dengan aksesbilitas yang memberikan kemudahan, kemudian harga yang terjangkau, fasilitas yang cukup. Hal ini akan menjadikan Danau Cipondoh sebagai obyek wisata yang menarik bagi masyarakat Tangerang untuk berwisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh daya tarik wisata, aksesbilitas, harga dan fasilitas terhadap minat berkunjung wisatawan di objek wisata Danau Cipondoh, Kota Tangerang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dikuantitatifkan dengan metode yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS 23. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuisioner kepada para wisatawan sejumlah 100 responden. Hasil penelitian secara parsial daya tarik wisata, aksesbilitas, harga dan fasilitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat berkunjung wisatawan. Oleh karena itu objek wisata Danau Cipondoh harus memiliki daya tarik berupa orisinility and natural beauty, variatif, scarity, wholeness, kemudian memiliki lokasi yang mudah dijangkau, kondisi jalan yang beraspal dan berbeton, jarak waktu tempuh sangat dekat dengan Jakarta dan Tangerang Selatan. Selain itu Danau Cipondoh juga harus memiliki harga yang standar dan terjangkau juga memiliki fasilitas yang cukup meliputi parkiran, mushola, toilet, tempat istirahat, warung makan. Hal ini memberikan dampak kepada para wisatawan untuk berkali-kali berkunjung ke Danau Cipondoh. Pengelola Danau Cipondoh harus lebih mempromosikan Danau Cipondoh melalui sosial media seperti website, instagram dan facebook. Para wisatawan diharapkan tidak meninggalkan sampah yang dapat merusak keindahan di kawasan wisata Danau Cipondoh.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has utterly devastated our world and has essentially influenced and disrupted people's lives. This condition has resulted in a rise in anxiety and depression, particularly among the young. In such a situation, optimism is essential. Because young people are valuable future assets, it is critical to address their optimism and devise measures to enhance it. This study aims to investigate the presence of optimism among Indonesian youth and how it is achieved. A total of 86 undergraduate students between the ages of 17 and 21 volunteered to participate. This study collects data through a survey and a Focus Group Discussion, using a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach.  The findings show that most respondents were pessimistic and claimed that the pandemic harmed their lives, emotions, and future outlook. A limited number of respondents who expressed optimism in the survey were then invited to participate in a Focus Group Discussion, and they reported that their optimism is attained from internal (egocentric) and external (ethnocentric) factors.  This finding is valuable and essential for taking action on how to help a generation afflicted by the pandemic move forward with optimism.

Abstract

Indonesia is predicted to get a demographic bonus in 2020-2030. A demographic bonus will be beneficial if Indonesia's human development index (HDI) is high quality. In ASEAN, HDI Indonesia ranks 6th out of 10 countries. The government is intensively pushing the creative industries and MSMEs to become agents of development to maximize the demographic bonus that Indonesia will face. The government is targeting at least 2020 to print 1,000 digital technopreneurs, one million farmers and fishers, and eight million SMEs going digital. The purpose of this study is to determine the general picture, the benefits, and the extent to which HR influences the creative industry and MSMEs. Total Quality Management is an approach that tries to maximize the competitiveness of organizations through several improvements: increasing human resources, the quality of products, services, processes, and the environment. The results of research with the application and implementation of the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the creative industry and MSMEs that human resources have a significant role in increasing creativity to produce products according to market demand, optimizing the use of information and communication technology, and increasing creative industries with fellow creative industries as well as colleges.
