Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the application of scientific approaches that can improve student learning outcomes of class VII MTsN West Palu on the material and the area around the kite. This research is a classroom action research. The research design refers to the design of research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, namely planning, action and observation, and reflection. The results showed that the application of a scientific approach can improve learning outcomes in the material and the area around the kite with the following steps: (1) observing, (2) questioning, (3) associating, (4) experimenting, (5) networking. .

Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description the implementation of the application cooperative learning model NHT type in effort to improve learning outcomes VII grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu on the set operations matter. Kind of this research is classroom action research which refers to the design of Kemmis and Mc Taggart’s model. The data obtained in this study are presented qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed. Based on the result of research conducted in class VII SMP Negeri 19 Palu there is a significant improvement from pre-test to the first cycle of action and to the second cycle.

Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description about applying of Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction (ARCS)  model can improve students’ learning outcomes in angles of a triangle material. The type of research is classroom action research. The design of this study referred to the model proposed by Kemmis and Mc. Teggart. This study was conducted in two cycles. The results of the study showed that through the application of ARCS model can improve student learning outcomes, by following the steps, namely  (1) creating and focusing student’s attention by praying, checking attendance and inform the material to be learned to the students, (2) giving apperception to the students form of matter that is shown with the help of broadcast material, (3) delivering the learning objectives and benefits of learning by showing pictures of everyday life that relate to the material, (4) delivering the learning materials, in the form of directives in the task delivery in student worksheet (SWS), (5) providing tutoring session to students who need guidance, (6) gaining students’ performance by providing the opportunity for some groups to present their work to the class, (7) providing feedback in the form of positive comments and compliments on the work of students, (8) evaluating students’ learning outcomes by providing practice questions to students, (9) and strengthening the retention and transfer by giving homework and gives a message that can motivate students

Abstract

This research aim to obtain description about applying Cooperative Learning of NHT with the assist of Posinega card able to improve student concept understanding on addition and subtraction of integer. This research was a classroom action research which refers to the Kemmis’ and Mc. Taggart’s design, that is plan, action and observation, and reflection. This research consist of two cycles, and each of the cycles was held in two meeting. The results of this research indicating that through applying of Cooperative Learning of NHT student concept understanding can increased, with the steps of Cooperative Learning of NHT (1) convey the learning purpose and motivating, (2) Presenting information, (3) numbering, (4) questioning, (5) heads together, (6) answering, and (7) giving appreciation. At the 1th phase, researcher convey the learning purpose and benefit to motivate the students; at the 2nd phase, researcher  presented addition and subtraction of integer through the demonstration of posinega card usage; at the 3rd phase, researcher divided the students into some groups, and gave number to each member of group; at the 4th phase, researcher gave task in worksheet to the students; at the 5th phase, the students were asked to think together in doing their worksheet and researcher guided them to do that; at the 6th phase,  researcher mentioned one number and the students who have the number presented their worksheet in front of the class; and at the 7th phase, researcher gave appreciation to each group.

Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description applyingRealistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach able to improving student comprehension class VII MTs Alkhairaat Tondo on word problem fraction matter. This research is a classroom action research, with refers to the design of the research Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, that is planning, action, observation, and reflection.The results of research indicating applying Realistic Mathematic Education approachwich can understanding improvementstudent to pass trought the steps is to (a) Comprehend the contextualproblematword problemfraction matter, to serve up the techer contectual problem and then student to ask Comprehend the contextual problem, (b) clarifying the contextual problematword problemfraction matter, ait help techer to giving with important signpost to give which can student to direct for Comprehend the problem, (c) compared and cover a lot of ground to  the rejoinder, techer to ask student compared and cover a lot of ground to  the rejoinder with friends group and then to ask student compared and cover a lot of ground to  the rejoinder possession in discussion class(d) conclude, techer to direct student for to drauw aconclusion about problem solve or concept from to learn matter.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to obtain the description of applying the direct learning model aided props machine function in effort to improve students understanding on  material of composition of the two functions in class XI IPA SMAN 3 Palu. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). As the research design refers to the design of the research of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart that is (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research results showed that the applying the direct learning model aided props machine function can increase students  understanding on material of composition of the two phases following these steps, namely: (1) teacher outlines the objectives and prepare students, (2) teacher presenting and demonstrating of material with aided props machine function, (3) teacher guiding the training with scaffolding techniques, (4) teacher checking students understanding by asking for student to present their answers in front of class and provide feedback, and (5) provide opportunities for advanced training and implementation by providing practice questions alone to students without guided by the teacher.

Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description about applying Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approachto increase learning outcomes on the set word problemsmatter inclassVIIFMTsNPalu Barat. This was a classroom action research  which refers to the design of the research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, that is planning, action and observation, and reflection.This research is executed in two cycles.The research results showed that applying of RME approach to increase learning outcomes onthe set word problemsmatterfollowing these steps, namel: (1)understanding thecontextualproblem, (2) solving problem, (3) comparinganddiscussing the answer, (4)concluding.In stepunderstandingof contextualissues, the teacherpresents thecontextualissuesandasks the studentstounderstand thegiven problem. In stepsolve the problem, along withhis groupof studentswere asked tosolve the problem. Ina stepto compare and discussanswers, severalgroupspresented the results ofthe workinggroupandother groupsto compareand commentifthere are differences inthe answerswith the group.In theconcludingstep, the teacher directsstudents tomake inferencesfromapayangbeen studied.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the application of direct instruction models using the number line that can enhance students ability in solving addition and subtraction of integers in class VII 3 Banawa Junior High School . Kind of research is action research . This research design refers to the design of the study Kemmis and Mc . Taggart namely planning, action , observation and reflection . The results showed that the application of direct instruction  models using the number line that can enhance students ability in solving addition and subtraction of integers follow the phases namely : an introduction / introduction , presentation , guided practice , and independent practice .

Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain a description in the implementation of design of learning to get concept which can increase the study value of students’ grade VII on the set material at MTs. Nurul Hasanah Pengawu. This reseacrh used Classroom Action Research, that based on Kurt lewin design.is planning, action, observation and reflection. The result of this research  showed  the used  of learning to get concept which can increase the one come  of student grade VII on the set material through 3  fase, that is: (1)  presentation and identification of data,(2) examined of concept and (3) strategies analyze.

Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description about applying structural exercise method can increase student learning outcomes on algebra operation in class VIII MTs Negeri Palu Barat. This was a classroom  action  research (CAR). The design of this research is based on Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, they are planning, implementation of the action and observation, and also reflection. This research was conducted in 2 cycles each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The research results showed that applying of structural exercise method can increase student learning outcomes with following the steps are (1) teacher open the learning activities and presents the objectives, motivation, apperception, and form groups, (2) teacher extend about the materials. The operation of addition and deduction in first cycle and the operation of multiplication, power, and division in second cycle, (3) teacher give structural woorksheets to be done in groups then they present their answers in front of class (4) teacher give a matter for individual. Then, teacher guide students to make inferences material of algebra form operation.
