Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the best combination of  anorganic fertilizers, organic and mulch on onion Lembah Palu varieties growth and yield. This study used a randomized block design. The treatment were anorganic fertilizer, organic and mulch consisting of 7 combinations. Each treatment consisted of 4 groups so that there were 28 experiments units. Application of anorganic fertilizers, organic and rice straw mulch showed no effect on plant growth parameter such as plant heigt and number of leaves. The highest plant fresh weight were in the treatment of organic fertilizer and rice straw mulch (65.89 g), the highest number of tubers in the treatment of anorganic fertilizers, organic and rice straw mulch (8:15 g), the highest leaf weight in treatment of organic fertilizer and rice straw mulch (33.39 g), the highest root weight on anorganic fertilizer treatment (4.91 g) and the highest weight of tubers in the treatment of anorganic fertilizers, organic and rice straw mulch (29.57 g) . Key Words : Anorganic fertilizer, Onion, organic, rice straw mulch.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study and evaluate the soil quality level criteria on toposekuen subzone Poboya based on several different topography. The method used is descriptive method variables explorative approach conducted through field surveys and supported by the results of soil analysis in the laboratory. Then proceed to describe the results of studies assessing soil quality scoring method on each indicator. The results showed that the soil in the area Sub Das Poboya quality criteria are less healthy soil and healthy. Soil quality with less healthy criteria how the peaks and concave regions which have the highest scoring value of 2.72 (on a sunken area) and the value of the lowest scoring is 2, 36 (the peak area). While healthy soil quality criteria are in the valley and convex areas which have the highest scoring value of 3.27 (in the valley) and the value of the lowest scoring is 3.09 (on a convex area). Key Words : Soil quality, Toposekuen.

Abstract

This research aims is to determine some soil chemical properties on a variety land use in Poboya watershed. While the usefulness of this study are as material information about characteristics of the chemical properties of the various land use in the Poboya watershed which is expected to serve as a reference in treatment planning watershed and soil and water conservation. The method used in this research is using survey methods. Observations and soil sampling done by tactical. The distance between the observation point with other observations point adjusted to the conditions of the survey area. The soil samples were taken from four kinds of state forest land the land cover, shrubs, garden mix and moor. Each type of land use types 5 sub samples were taken and composited, in order to obtain four composite soil samples for laboratory analysis. The analysis includes a soil chemical properties of soil pH, organic C, N - total, P - total, P - available, Potassium, Cation Exchange Capacity and Texture. Results of chemical analysis of several types of land use, forest land has chemical properties that best compared with the chemical properties of the type of land use shrubs, garden mix and moor. Chemical properties on the type of land use mixed gardens and fields are generally relatively low. Key Words: Chemical soil, land use type, watershed.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to figure out the physical and chemical characteristic of antioxidant noodle and sago starch with peels extract of red dragon fruit. The reseach design was used Completely Randomized Design with six treatment and triplicate in order to obtain 18 units of trials. The treatment that have been tried namely sago paste that mixed into sago starch that consist of six levels : 100 g; 110 g; 120 g; 130; 140 g dan 150 g. The observation variable that to done including water content, water holding capacity (WHC) and oil holding capacity (OHC), cooking loss and antioxidant content. The data were analysed with analysis of variance and continued with further test of honestly significance difference (HSD) 5%. The result of research shown that the water content tend to increase with the increased of sago starch. Cooking loss tend to increase with increased amount sago starch (110 to 150 g). The antioxidant properties of the noodles are best obtained in the treatment of sago starch 100 g.  Key Words: Antioxidants, noodles, peels of red dragon fruit, sagu starch.

Abstract

This research was supposed to know amount of acquired profit and expended cost, to know a number of manufactured products and acquired income at breaking event point, and to know margin of safety therefore honey bee farming “Jaya Makmur” still got some profits. This research was coducted at honey bee farming “Jaya Makmur” in Jono Oge village, District of Sigi Biromaru, and Regency of Sigi on June to July 2015. Respondens are consisted of two person; they are   the owner and the employee of honey bee farming  “Jaya Makmur” were: (1) the acquired incomes of honey bee farming “Jaya Makmur” were: (a) for product of honey 850mg in amount of  IDR 2.860.000/mount with production cost IDR 1.684.267/mount which generated profit in amount of IDR 1.175.733/mount. (b) for product of honey 400mg in amount of IDR 3.055.000/mount with production cost IDR 1.699.130/mount which generated profit in amount of IDR 1.355.870/mount. (2) the break event point for product of honey 850mg were achieve at production volume in total number 111 bottles with the price in amount of IDR 130.000/bottle, thus, the value of acquired income was IDR 1.430.000/mount. The break event point for product of honey 4050mg were achieve at production volume in total number 23 bottles with the price in amount of IDR 65.000/bottle the value of acquired income was IDR 1.495.000/mount. (3) margin of safety  for product of honey 850mg was amount of 50.00% and for product of honey 450mg was in amount of 51.06%, which meant the maximum limited distance of decreasing sell of the second selling product was in ratio of MoS, therefore during the selling product was not decreased more than ratio MoS that meant this cultivation receive some profit. Key Words: Analysis of break event point, honey bee farming, Jono Oge Viilage.

Abstract

Cocoa pod disease (BBK) caused by the fungus Phytophthora palmivora is one of the prime diseases that can affect cocoa production systems in the world . This disease can cause yield losses of up to 90% , especially in the rainy season and the dry season. Objective of the research is to determine the ability of inhibitory fungus A. niger in various carriesr and storage time against Phytophtora palmivora cause rotten disease of cocoa. Result of the research is to control the disease in cacao plants. This is an experimental research designed by using Random Complete Design with 2 factorials, carries and  storage period with 3 remedials, factor 1: (P0 = control), (P1 = white glutinous rice flour + cassava starch), (P2 = Cassava starch), (P3 = white glutinous rice flour + sweet corn flour), (P4 = white glutinous rice flour), (P5 = ripe coconut flour). Factor 2: (A1 = 1 week storage period), (A2 = 2 weeks storage period), (A3 = 3 weeks storage period), (A4 = 4 weeks storage period). Result of the research proved that the carrier of white glutinous rice flour + sweet corn flour (P3) and ripe coconut flour (P5) and in A3 storage period (week-3) is more effective to inhibiting P. palmivora growth, therefore can be used as a carrier to support A. niger fungus growth. Key Words : Aspergillus niger, cacao, carrier.
