Abstract

This experiment aimed to determine the best growing media composition and coconut water in stimulating the growth of pepper plant cuttings. It used a two factorial randomized block design. The first factor was various proportions of media compositions of manure, sand and top soil i.e. 1:4:12; 1:4:6; and 1: 4:4. The second factor was different rates of coconut water i.e. A0           (no coconut water added), A1 (40 cc), A2 (80 cc), and A3 (120 cc). There were 12 combination treatments and each was replicated three times with each treatment consisting of three plants. Parameter observed included shoot length, leaf number, leaf area size, root length, and fresh root weight. The research results showed that there was no significant interaction effect between         the media composition and the coconut water on the shoot length at 45 days after planting (DAP), 60 DAP, and 90 DAP but it was significant at 75 DAP. The interaction effect was also significant on the leaf number at 60 DAP. Only the coconut water had significant effect on the total leaf area size, the root length, and the fresh weight. The stimulation of the pepper cutting growth was best under the 120 cc coconut water treatment per week and the sand, manure and top soil proportion of 1:4:4 treatment. Key Words : Coconut water, pepper cuttings, and planting media

Aim of this study was to determine the characteristics (yield, degree of clarity and composition of fatty acids) in the VCO coconut harvested at various heights a place to grow. This research was conducted in the territory high level 0-50, 100-150 and 200-250 m above sea level in the district of Parigi Moutong In the Laboratory of Agricultural Technology Faculty of Agriculture, University Tadulako. Implementation of the study began in December 2015 - March 2016. The study design was used way completely randomized design (CRD) with the treatment of the harvested fruit in 3 grades altitude growing ie 1 = 0-50 meters above sea level, 2 = 100-150 meters asl, 3 = 200-250 meters above sea level. Each treatment was repeated five times. The research were showed altitude 0-50 m above sea level provide the highest daily temperatures were significantly different from the temperature elevation 100-150 and 200-250 m above sea level.Key words : Coconut, Virgin Coconut Oil, and Level Growing

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the characteristics of the soil under forest land, dry land, degraded land, shifting cultivation, mixed plantation, and house yards in Beka Village, Marawola Sub District of Sigi District. Three sites from each land use were determined where three soil samples were taken from each site at 0–20 cm depth using soil rings. Parameters observed included soil permeability, bulk density, porosity, water content at saturated and field capacity condition, and upper and lower plasticity limits. The soil permeability ranged from less to very fast while the soil bulk density from light to heavy. The saturated water contents were found to be 40.35% to 53.00% while the field capacity water content to be 20.18% to 26.50%. The upper and lower plasticity limits ranged from moderate to high. Key Words : Beka village, land use, and soil physical characteristic.

Abstract

This research aims to study the influence of cow manure on the growth and yield of chinese cabbage. This research is compiled using a randomized block design with seven treatment consists of one level ie dosing cow manure, without the provision of cow manure, a dose of 10 ton ha-1,   a dose of 20 ton ha-1, a dose of 30 ton ha-1, dose 40 t ha-1, a dose of 50 t ha-1 doses of 60 ton ha-1. Each unit treatment was repeated three times so that there are 21 experimental units. The observed variables include plant height, leaf number and weight of the crop in a plots. Abstract

This research was conducted in the Village Poboya, the city of Palu, Central Sulawesi. From December 2014 - April 2015, with the aim to determine the growth and yield of cayenne pepper by organic various fertilizers and type of mulch. This study uses (RAK) factorial design with two factors. The first factor is the organic fertilizer (P) consisting of three (3) types: P0 = Without Organic Fertilizer, P1 = Manure Ram, P2 = Bokasi rest of the plant. The second factor is the type of mulch (M) consisting of three (3) types: M0 = Without mulch, M1 = Rice Straw Mulch, Mulch M2 = Coconut Fiber. There are 9 combined treatment, treatment was repeated 3 times. Each treatment combination was represented by two (2) polybag or two plants so that there are 54 units of the plant (polybag). The results showed no interaction between the various types of organic fertilizers and mulch. Organic fertilizer goat fold give the best results of growth and crop yield compared with Bokashi cayenne and without fertilizer.
