Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various types of bokashi on growth and yield      of spinach green giti. The study used Randomized Block Design with three replications.              The treatments were several doses bokashi consisting of five levels i.e.: control, bokashi leaves of Gliricidia 40 t/ha, bokashi leaves johar 40 t/ha, bokashi leaves lamtoro 40 t/ha, and bokashi goat manure 40 t/ha. Each treatment were consists of three replicates so that there are 3 x 5 = 15 experimental units. Processing research data conducted by using ANOVA subsequent treatment effect was tested further by the least significant difference test. The results showed that the provision of various types of bokashi not significantly affect the number of leaves, plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, but the real impact on plant fresh weight. Key Words: Bokashi, Green Giti Spinach.

Abstract

This research aims is to determine some soil chemical properties on a variety land use in Poboya watershed. While the usefulness of this study are as material information about characteristics of the chemical properties of the various land use in the Poboya watershed which is expected to serve as a reference in treatment planning watershed and soil and water conservation. The method used in this research is using survey methods. Observations and soil sampling done by tactical. The distance between the observation point with other observations point adjusted to the conditions of the survey area. The soil samples were taken from four kinds of state forest land the land cover, shrubs, garden mix and moor. Each type of land use types 5 sub samples were taken and composited, in order to obtain four composite soil samples for laboratory analysis. The analysis includes a soil chemical properties of soil pH, organic C, N - total, P - total, P - available, Potassium, Cation Exchange Capacity and Texture. Results of chemical analysis of several types of land use, forest land has chemical properties that best compared with the chemical properties of the type of land use shrubs, garden mix and moor. Chemical properties on the type of land use mixed gardens and fields are generally relatively low. Key Words: Chemical soil, land use type, watershed.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to figure out the physical and chemical characteristic of antioxidant noodle and sago starch with peels extract of red dragon fruit. The reseach design was used Completely Randomized Design with six treatment and triplicate in order to obtain 18 units of trials. The treatment that have been tried namely sago paste that mixed into sago starch that consist of six levels : 100 g; 110 g; 120 g; 130; 140 g dan 150 g. The observation variable that to done including water content, water holding capacity (WHC) and oil holding capacity (OHC), cooking loss and antioxidant content. The data were analysed with analysis of variance and continued with further test of honestly significance difference (HSD) 5%. The result of research shown that the water content tend to increase with the increased of sago starch. Cooking loss tend to increase with increased amount sago starch (110 to 150 g). The antioxidant properties of the noodles are best obtained in the treatment of sago starch 100 g.  Key Words: Antioxidants, noodles, peels of red dragon fruit, sagu starch.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to determine growth and production of chili (Capsicum annuum L.) provided compost and bacteria Azotobacter sp. This study used a randomized block design factorial with two treatment factors. The first factor is compost consisting of : compost 15 t ha-1, 20 tha-1, and 25 t ha-1. The second factor is the bacteria Azotobacter sp. consisting of without giving Azotobacter sp. and giving Azotobacter sp. Each treatment was repeated four times so that there are 24 units trial. The results showed the bacteria Azotobacter sp. administration significantly affected plant height, root length, root volume, fresh weight of plants, plant dry weight, number of fruit crops, and the weight of the fruit crop. The results showed plant height, root length, root volume, fresh weight of plants, plant dry weight, number of fruit crops, and the weight of the fruit crop the highest in the delivery of Azotobacter sp. is each by 42,1 cm, 238,4 cm, 8,88 ml, 22,1 g, 5,60 g, 4,92 buah, 5,79 g. While the treatment of compost and their interaction had no significant effect on the observed variables. Key Words : Azotobacter sp., Chili, Compost, growth, production.

Abstract

The study aimed is to find out the inhibitation level of leaves extract of Ketepeng China (Cassia alata L.) insome concentrations on the growth of Phytophthora palmivora funguson cocoa fruit. This study was arranged in Complete Randomized Design, with the extract concentrations tested were 0,5%, 1%, 1,5%, 2% and 2,5% on the growth of Phytophthora palmivora fungus diameter. This study was conducted on September to October 2015 in Pest and Disease Department Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, Tadulako University. The result showed that the average extract concentration of 2,5% can better inhibitate the growth of Phytophthora palmivora fungus diameter (30.18%), and based on the analysis using simple linear regression, it showed that the concentration 2,5% has the higest dependent variable value with 30,48%. Key Words : Cocoa, extract leave, Ketepeng China (Cassia alata L.), Phytophthora palmivora.

Abstract

This research was supposed to know amount of acquired profit and expended cost, to know a number of manufactured products and acquired income at breaking event point, and to know margin of safety therefore honey bee farming “Jaya Makmur” still got some profits. This research was coducted at honey bee farming “Jaya Makmur” in Jono Oge village, District of Sigi Biromaru, and Regency of Sigi on June to July 2015. Respondens are consisted of two person; they are   the owner and the employee of honey bee farming  “Jaya Makmur” were: (1) the acquired incomes of honey bee farming “Jaya Makmur” were: (a) for product of honey 850mg in amount of  IDR 2.860.000/mount with production cost IDR 1.684.267/mount which generated profit in amount of IDR 1.175.733/mount. (b) for product of honey 400mg in amount of IDR 3.055.000/mount with production cost IDR 1.699.130/mount which generated profit in amount of IDR 1.355.870/mount. (2) the break event point for product of honey 850mg were achieve at production volume in total number 111 bottles with the price in amount of IDR 130.000/bottle, thus, the value of acquired income was IDR 1.430.000/mount. The break event point for product of honey 4050mg were achieve at production volume in total number 23 bottles with the price in amount of IDR 65.000/bottle the value of acquired income was IDR 1.495.000/mount. (3) margin of safety  for product of honey 850mg was amount of 50.00% and for product of honey 450mg was in amount of 51.06%, which meant the maximum limited distance of decreasing sell of the second selling product was in ratio of MoS, therefore during the selling product was not decreased more than ratio MoS that meant this cultivation receive some profit. Key Words: Analysis of break event point, honey bee farming, Jono Oge Viilage.Â
