Abstract

This study aims to determine the amount of farmers income on the sweet corn farming in the village of Labuan Induk, Labuan subdistrict, Donggala Regency. The study was conducted from April to June 2016. The determination of sampling method used simple random sampling method (Simple random sampling method) by taking 30 respondents out of 96 people a corn farmer in the village of Labuan Induk. The analysis method used is the analysis of income. Results of the analysis showed that an average acceptance of sweet corn growers in the farm of the village of Labuan Induk is Rp 10.3075 million / 0.52 ha / PS or USD 19,822,115.4 / ha / PS and an average income of Rp 5818 .747,27 / 0.52 ha / PS or Rp11.189.898,6 / ha / PS. Keywords: Desa Labuan Holding, Sweet Corn, Revenue

Abstract

Simagaya village is one of rice production centers in Balaesang sub-district Donggala regency. Farmer in that village applied the system of direct seeds planting due to the high cost for labor. The determination of research location was purposive sampling because this village is one of rice production center. This research aims to identify the income of rice field farm by applying direct seeds plant method. This research was conducted on April to May 2017. The respondent determined by simple random sampling. The number of respondent was 32 out of 116 farmers. Analysis technique used is income analysis. The result of this research showed that the average production obtained on the land area of 0.72 Ha/PS is 1.235.93 Kg with selling price of Rp. 7000/Kg then the total income is Rp. 8.624.500 while the total cost is Rp. 4.319.037. It provides income of Rp. 4.308.463/0.72 Ha/PS in one planting season. Keywords : Income Analysis, Rice Paddy, Simagaya Village.

Abstract

This study aims to identify internal and external environment factors, formulating of marketing strategies using SWOT analysis. The study was conducted in "Mustika" Industry in Sungai Lambangan Street,  No. 15, West Palu district in the city of Palu in June - July 2016. Respondents were drawn in the study consisted of 5 persons namely 1 leader, 2 employees of the internal production,and 2 from the external consumer. The analysis was used the SWOT analysis.The results indicated the marketing strategy diagram SWOT of fried onions on "Mustika" industry is in quadrant I that is at the position of Strength- Opportunities (SO) strategy, it is utilizing of the marketing area with raw materials that are easily available so that it can maintain product quality and take advantage of government support, leveraging industry relationships with customers to improve certain customer with the long enough business experience so that with to take advantage of information and communication.  Keywords: Fried onions, Mustika,  SWOT Analysis.

Abstract

Moringa (Moringaoleifera Lam) is one of vegetable plants high in good nutrition such as chlorophyll and vitamin C and grows in lowland and upland up to ± 1000 m above sea level (asl). This study aimed to determine the levels of chlorophyll and vitamin C ofmoringa leaves harvested from those plants grown at different altitudes.   The research was carried out at Agroindustry Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture, TadulakoUniversity of Palu during December 2016 - February 2017. Materials used were fresh moringa leaves. The research design used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD).  The treatment wasfour different altitudes where the plant grows i.e. 0-150 m asl;  151-300m asl, 301-450 m asl and> 451 m asl. Each treatment consisted of 4 replicates/groups so that there were 16 experimental units. The data obtained were analyzed using the variance test (F test) and continued with Tukey’s  honestly significant different test (HSD). The results showed that the altitude had a very significant effect on the contents of chlorophyll, vitamin C, and fiber, but had no significant effect on moisture content and dry weight of fresh moringa. Keywords: Chlorophyll, Moringa, The Height Of The Place Grows, Vitamin C

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of land area size, seeds, fertilizers and labors on local Palu shallot production in Limoyo of  Pantoloan Boya village, Tawaeli sub district. Samples of 32 people were selected from 120local Palu shallot farmers in Limoyo using a Simple Random Sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Cobb-Douglas production analysis. The analysis concludes that production factors such as land area size, seeds, fertilizers and labor simultan eously has a significant effect on local Palu shallot production with F-count value was 34.07 > F-tablevalue (2.73) at the α level of 5%. The result of t-test shows that partially land area and seed has significant effect on local Palu shallot production at the α level of 5%. While fertilizer and labor had no significant effecton local Palu shallot production at theα level of 5%. Keywords: Palu shallot, and  Production,

Abstract

Onions (Allium cepa) is one type of horticultural commodities which has great opportunities in the agribusiness sector. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of botanical pesticide made from chilly (C. annuum) and garlic (A. sativum) on mortality of larvae of S. exigua. The research was carried out in the Laboratory of Plant Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University. The study took place from September to December 2015. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with seven treatments; each treatment was repeated three times so there were 21 experimental units. The composition of the treatment were as follows: Control (water only, p0), 2ml fresh chili/100 mlwater (p1),4 ml rotten chili/100 ml water (p2),6 ml fresh garlic/100 ml water (p3), 8 ml rotten garlic/100 ml water (p4), 10 ml mixed of rotten garlic and rotten chili /100 ml water (p5), 12 ml mixed of fresh chili and fresh garlic/100 ml water (p6). Highest rate of S. exigua  mortality was found in the p5 treatment ranging from 83% - 96% at three to four days of the treatment application. It suggest that this application is very effective in controlling the larvae of S .exigua in onion leaves.Keywords: Mortality, Spodoptera exigua Hubner, and Vegetable pesticides.

Abstract

Penyakit layu fusarium atau dikenal dengan penyakit moler adalah salah satu penyakit penting pada pertanaman bawang merah, yang menimbulkan banyak kerugian dibeberapa sentra produksi. pengendalian penyakit moler pada saat ini masih ditekankan pada teknik pengendalian dengan menggunakan fungisida, sehingga dipertimbangkan pilihan lain, yaitu dengan menggunakan agensia pengendali hayati.  jamur Aspergillus niger salah satu jamur yang bersifat antagonis sehingga berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai salah satu alternatif pengendalian penyakit layu fusarium.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas jamur A.  niger sebagai jamur antagonis terhadap jamur   Fusarium oxysporum. Metode pengujian adalah dengan meletakkan isolat jamur A. niger secara bersamaan dalam media PDA dengan isolat F. oxysporum pada posisi berlawanan, kemudian diinkubasi sampai terjadi pertautan antara kedua koloni jamur, metode ini terus dilakukan dengan isolat jamur A. niger pada umur kultur berbeda sesuai perlakuan yaitu K1 6 hari, K2 8 hari, K3 10 hari, K4 12 hari.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa umur kultur yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi laju pertumbuhan jamur A. niger dalam menekan pertumbuhan Jamur patogen F. oxysporum.  Perlakuan yang paling efektif dalam menekan pertumbuhan jamur  F. oxysporum yaitu P1 dengan kultur awal yang berumur 6 hari. Kata kunci: Aspergillus niger, Fusarium oxysporum, Layu Fusarium, Uji Antagonis.

Abstract

This research aims to know the magnitude of the income of fishermen and the magnitude of the margins of marketing of the sales results of the tuna in Labuan Bajo village, Banawa subdistrict of Donggala Regency. Determination of the respondent of fisherman is done by using a simple random sampling method, where each fisherman has the same possibilities to be used as a sample. The number of respondents that were taken as many as 40 out of a population total of 320 members of the fishermen who try to capture of fishery in Labuan Bajo village, that are 32 fishermen, 4 men of collectors  and 4 men of traders. Result of analysis revenue on research showed that the average receipt obtained by Tuna fish fishermen is Rp. 2,396,283, the average total cost of production of Rp. 590,910. average income of Rp. 1,805,372 per month. Analysis of the marketing of Tuna in Labuan Bajo village is the price received by fishermen on the channel I of 57.69 so efficiency is 15.33% and on channel II the price received the fishermen of 73.07% so the efficiency is 15,39%. The marketing of tuna on channel II is more efficient compared to the channel I, because of the price received by the fishermen on channel II is larger than the channe lI. Keywords: Income, Marketing, Tuna Fishermen, Traders Tuna

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of agricultural extansion and farming income of Rice  in Oloboju village, Subdistrict of Sigi Biromaru, Sigi Regency, during May to August, 2016. The location determining of this study was determined by purposive sampling. The number of respondents is 30 people who often follow counseling. Collecting data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Analysis of the data used is the method of Chi Square and revenue analysis. The results of this study indicated that the role of agricultural extension educator components such as supervising of farmers so far so good. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to observe of soil chemical properties of paddy land which use changed into a mixed plantation at Panau Village Tawaeli District. Soil analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of Soil Science Unit of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University. The method used in this research is a field survey by reviewing and determining the location of sample observation point on each land use (paddy field and mixed garden) and continued with take the undisturb soil sampling with depth (0-20) cm from  Top soil using ground drill. In the mixed garden area, samples were taken in 4 different locations and paddy fields in 4 different locations, so that the total number of composite soil samples were 8 samples. The results showed that the changes in soil chemical properties on each land use (paddy fields and mixed garden land) vary widely with slightly acid pH to slightly alkalis. C-Organic high, to very low. N-total is moderate to very low. P-total is high to moderate. K-total is high, to very low. CEC is high, to very low.
